The event space in the Castle Royale Hotel in Genessia City was decorated for this event. Fake cobwebs and skeleton decorations hung up among the many other different types of Halloween decorations. It took several hours to get it all decorated, but there was a decent amount of help in doing so. A DJ (Who is wearing a big bear costume) has been hired to handle the music to get people in a dancing mood.

The genre of music ranges over all types, but there was some Halloween themed music sprinkled in there to just set the mood when no one was hitting the dance floor. The event officially starts at 5PM, but the doors themselves open at 4PM. Though at that time, things are still being set up, but you won't be asked to leave if you decide to sit around and wait for it to start.

There is a minor police presence with GCPD staked out at the entrance way that leads toward the event space.

Refreshments Table

The refreshment table has many things to satisfy your sweet tooth with, many different kinds of cupcakes, fruit cups, lots of different types of cookies, caramel apple bites, brownies. There are plates and such at each end of the table as well as napkins. The catering service will constantly be refreshing the table as it gets low on food.

There are even many Halloween themed drinks. There are more traditional party items like fruit platters and the like scattered among all of the delectable food as well. There is a bar set up along one of the walls in the room with a bartender standing behind it for those looking for a more alcoholic type of beverage.

Tables/Balconies

The tables among the ground floor and the balconies have all been decorated in a similar manner as the rest of the place with Halloween themed tablecloths on each table. There are small electronic, battery powered candles on each table. There is no actual flame on it, instead it is just a light shaped to look like one.

Dance Floor

The dance floor doesn't have anything spectacular different about it. There is a small, light fog that coats it thanks to a fog machine just on the outside of it. Lights are hung above it to be used when the lights in the place go dim. The fog isn't so thick that you can't see your own feet, though.

Oh, not to dance. I just...thought a party would be nice.

*She pauses for a moment as though about to say something but seems to change her mind*

Don't people look great in their costumes?

Ah.

[ Well, Konoka could dance, but it wasn't her top priority. She considered confessing that she couldn't, but Sonico interrupted that thought. ]

Yeah they do! A lot of pretty girls in a lot of amazing designs!

[ Whoops. ]

*Aww Konoka, that just makes Sonico giggle*

Konoka, did you just come here to look at all the pretty girls?

Now Sonico-han, that can't be the only reason, or else I'd be lurking in the back somewhere.

[ She says this with a blush on her face. Getting distracted by girls is a new thing, okay? This is all Pidonus's fault. ]

But it sure doesn't hurt, though!

Lurking in the back? What use is that if all the pretty girls are dancing?

*Sonico giggled quietly, just teasing her friend a little*

Besides, with all this fog it's kind of hard to see the pretty girls and handaome boys from a distance.

*Is that why Sonico isn't hiding at the back just watching? Maybe. Or maybe because the drinks table was near by*

That was my point!

[ Though she said that decisively, her face was still flush. ]

Though you're not exactly out in the crowd either. Maybe you want more than just a break?

[ She was equally deflecting and equally interested in what Sonico was drinking. ]

Hmm...

*Sonico moves closer to the drinks table, looking at the spooky cocktails*

I was thinking of maybe having a drink. It is a party after all... Wanna have one with me?

[ The brunette eyed the strange drinks too. She figured they'd be risky, but sure, why not? ]

Sure thing. Which one are you looking at?

[ And she'd look through hers as well. ]

How about...this one?

*Sonico carefully lifts up a tall glass of a strange green concoction*

I don't actually know what it is...

*Gingerly, she tilts the drink towards her nose and sniffs, clearly anticipating something quite horrible. Instead, she gives a surprised 'oh' and smiles*

It smells pretty good!~

It does?

[ Konoka leans over and takes her own sniff. ]

Sure does, huh? Are you going to try it?

[ It doesn't seem like it's hiding anything negative, so Konoka feels no guilt in making Sonico try it first. ]

Uh huh. Here goes nothing!

*Despite sounding sure of herself, Sonico didn't look entirely confident about drinking the cocktail. Still, she closes her eyes, lifts the glass to her lips, and takes a small sip. Then another.

At first, her face screws up unhappily, but when she opens her eyes again she's smiling, laughing a little too*

Wow - it's pretty sour! But it's also super fruity and sweet! Try it!

[ Seeing that Sonico took a moment to get used to it, and then liked it a moment later, Konoka smiled. She took her own glass and drank it... cautiously at first, but as she got used to the sharp flavor, drank it more steadily. ]

Oh this stuff is good.

[ So don't mind her when she finishes her glass. ]

*Sonico giggles when she sees how easily Konoka drinks the cocktail. After watching a moment, Sonico starts to drink hers though she is a little slower than Konoka. Once she's done, though, she giggles and licks her lips*

That was tasty! Will we try another one?

You bet! I'm feeling a little more adventurous!

[ She gets a second one that looks like sparkling cider given the appearance of blood. ]

How about this one?

*Eh, no. The red colour was really off-putting for Sonico and she eyed the drink warily*

Maybe... You can try it first this time, and tell me if it tastes too much like blood.

*She gives a little shudder - could it be that Sonico is slightly squeamish? Who knows? Not this mun, but she is going to say yes for now*

[ Konoka gave a cheesy, dark grin, reminiscent of a certain vampire that she wound up sharing a castle with. She took a swig of the drink. Turned out to be a little strong. ]

Ah, it feels... spicy! Like spiced up apple cider!

*Sonico shakes her head and waves her arms a little*

Don't drink it! Don't drink it! Maybe it's poison!

*Hardly likely, but she is peering close with wide eyes, just in case*

Hmmm? Well it's not poisoned, I would have been able to tell!

[ Probably not entirely true, but she did taste things and know when they weren't fit for consumption. This was just strong... but it was still serviceable! ]

Still, maybe we should try something else...

Oh! Oh, then that's okay! Phew!~

*Sonico breathes a sigh of relief at that because she really wouldn't know what to do if it was really poison*

How about...that purple one?

[ Konoka wasn't interested in trying her luck with the red stuff anymore. Rather, she looked at where Sonico was pointing, and saw another purple drink. ]

This one?

[ She lifted it, almost cautiously. She was considering if she should drink it first... ]

Uh huh. That one.

*Sonico watches with wide eyes and shuffles a little closer to Konoka so that she can stare into the glass*

Maybe...we can try it at the same time...?

Probably a good idea.

[ Konoka seemed somewhat suspicious of the drink, though not with the same level of squeamishness Sonico had with the previous. She would have considered sipping from the same glass had they had straws... or something big enough. She'll settle for a second, identical glass, which she passes to Sonico. ]

Ready?

Ready.

*Sonico nods with an expression which is probably more serious that need be considering the current situation. Still, she didn't want to end up with something horrible like Konoka had just tried*

On the count of three, we will take our first sip. Ready?

Ready!

One...

[ Konoka lifted the glass. ]

Two... three!

[ And she drank it. This one was... tangy? Sweet? Konoka drank hers too fast! ]

*Mm, this one was sweet, more like liquid candy. Again, Sonico didn't drink hers quite as fast as Konoka did, but she was clearly really enjoying it*

This one is great!
