WHERE: The Castle Royale Hotel, Genessia City.

The event space in the Castle Royale Hotel in Genessia City was decorated for this event. Fake cobwebs and skeleton decorations hung up among the many other different types of Halloween decorations. It took several hours to get it all decorated, but there was a decent amount of help in doing so. A DJ (Who is wearing a big bear costume) has been hired to handle the music to get people in a dancing mood.

The genre of music ranges over all types, but there was some Halloween themed music sprinkled in there to just set the mood when no one was hitting the dance floor. The event officially starts at 5PM, but the doors themselves open at 4PM. Though at that time, things are still being set up, but you won't be asked to leave if you decide to sit around and wait for it to start.

There is a minor police presence with GCPD staked out at the entrance way that leads toward the event space.

Refreshments Table

The refreshment table has many things to satisfy your sweet tooth with, many different kinds of cupcakes, fruit cups, lots of different types of cookies, caramel apple bites, brownies. There are plates and such at each end of the table as well as napkins. The catering service will constantly be refreshing the table as it gets low on food.

There are even many Halloween themed drinks. There are more traditional party items like fruit platters and the like scattered among all of the delectable food as well. There is a bar set up along one of the walls in the room with a bartender standing behind it for those looking for a more alcoholic type of beverage.

Tables/Balconies

The tables among the ground floor and the balconies have all been decorated in a similar manner as the rest of the place with Halloween themed tablecloths on each table. There are small electronic, battery powered candles on each table. There is no actual flame on it, instead it is just a light shaped to look like one.

Dance Floor

The dance floor doesn't have anything spectacular different about it. There is a small, light fog that coats it thanks to a fog machine just on the outside of it. Lights are hung above it to be used when the lights in the place go dim. The fog isn't so thick that you can't see your own feet, though.

[He waves off her concerns literally with a hand and a chuckle, tucking the book into his jacket.]

Ah, but I can read at any time; chatting with people of course depends on luck to an extent. Plus, ah. I found myself thinking about the past, that never helps anyone, unless one is speaking of Anthropology~

[Joking aside, he makes a bow for her.]

Again, you honor me. I've always been fond of lighter colors, but someone once said I looked quite good in black and... Well, enough of me. Would that I could hold the eye of the room even half so well as you. You look radiant~ And a bit familiar...I'm sure I'll place it eventually.

[Though it is clearly going to weigh on his mind until he does recognize her costume, though he doesn't let it slow him down as he makes a small shake of his head before glances around them. ]

Ah, I am a bit at a loss for what to do. Did you perhaps just want a quiet moment? We could discuss what you've been up to since our last meeting. Or perhaps a dance~

*Sonico frowns softly when he talks about thinking of the past. She looks as though she might say something, but when he follows it up with that little joke about anthropology she decides on just smiling and nodding*

A photographer once told me that people who look very good in light colours also look very good in dark colours. It's the inbetweens that are the problem.

*She casts another glance down at her costume, still very pleased with its bright colours. The red shoes and white knee high socks were definitely her favourite part*

O-oh. It's...Snow White. Of a kind. But, don't worry if you can't place it. Perhaps you're from a world with no fairy tales like Snow White, or no Disney. I wonder what those people think I'm supposed to be...

*The thought of that makes her blush a little, but she does her best at a shrug as she also looks around the room*

I was just...saying hello. I don't mind a talk, or a drink or - I could try a dance. I'm just...quite useless at it.

*And for some reason, as she looked at him in his costume, Sonico had a feeling that he might be considerably better at dancing than she is*

[He brings a hand to his chin to consider her point; it made much sense, and given she was a model as well as fashionable; he does need to consider chatting her up about fashion tips at some point. The train of thought is put aside as she finally places her costume, and while he is tempted to correct her; she is right in that his home doesn't have such. Or even television, which was would bring a whole host of problems that he shakes his head to clear that thought away.]

I might settle for "stunning", ah, but here I am going on needlessly~

[He offers a hand to her, lifting and turning it over with a small flourish; she isn't wrong in her assumption about him being good at dancing; but he's also doubtful of her self-assessment. He finds her quite shy, and while demure is certainly captivating, he eager to see what she is capable of.]

Well come~ We can do all three, and I am sure that's not true; you look very light on your feet.

*It's true that she's had compliments on her outfit here and there - whether it's that she looks nice, or just the dress itself - but this one genuinely seems to surprise her, enough so that the blush on her cheeks is a little delayed*

*Composed again, or at least somewhat, Sonico slips her hand into his. She learned at the last ball that this was a perfectly normal thing for people to do if they were spending time together at an event like this, or if they were to be led to a dance*

All three sounds good to me. Which would you like to do first?

[As she gives her hand, he raises it and gently brushes his lips over the back of it before standing straight again. ]

You honor me thricely~ Let's take a moment and get a drink; I've perhaps spoken too much this evening and am parched. Plus, I am expecting a few songs I know, so perhaps that would be the best opportunity to dance~

*Sonico takes a small breath as his lips touch the back of her hand. She is a little flustered by the gesture but really doesn't seem to mind as she smiles sweetly in return*

A drink sounds like a lovely idea. They even have Halloween themed cocktails - if you like that sort of thing...

I'm an experimental sort at heart~ It's always surprising what one finds enjoyable when they are willing to try many things.

[Leading her that way, he does actually try one of the cocktails, though he isn't sure what Sonico would prefer, so he lets go of her hand so she might not feel trapped.]

Actually, this is rather refreshing~ Despite the color. Quite fascinating though what must have gone into it to achieve such...

*Sonico watches him take a drink and smiles, then she reaches and picks up one of the same drinks for herself*

If it wasn't Halloween I'm not sure I'd choose a drink this colour...

*But it is Halloween and she takes a small sip, then a longer sip*

Oh, this really is very refreshing!
