[It's pretty late right now, things should be.... fairly calm, right? Everything is totally relaxed, everyone is getting ready for a nice weeknight in, very calm, very quiet, looks like it might be just about time to turn in. Hit the hay. Relax. Have that nightcap and crack open a good boo-]
BRRRREEEEEEEEWEWWWWEERRRAPPP
[Or it might be time for noise hell. Sounds like someone has a communicator that should not fucking have a communicator.]
BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOEOOWOORRRRRRRRRPPPPPPPPPPPPP
[Oh good, the pitch is decreasing. That's... that's helpful]
Oh goodness, I'm so sorry, I had no idea it would do that.
[At least that's not painful. The voice on the other side is soft and friendly, and genuinely does sound deeply apologetic, before the screen flickers on at long last. Looks like he doesn't entirely know what he's doing with this shit]
I hope I didn't disturb any of you! It looks like it's pretty late out, I'd hate to think I woke anyone up!
Is everyone alright?
[Doesn't look or sound much older than eighteen, honestly]
I do apologize! I just couldn't help pressing all the buttons~.

It looked like another magic user, probably, and someone who likely wasn't familiar with technology. He calmed down pretty quickly and tried to gather up the courage to say hi. At least he had something to work off of.]
H-Hi... I... I can teach you how to u-use it, if you want.
[He hoped he didn't mess up.]
Re: [Video]
Can you? I'd appreciate that, really! I'd hate to break it just right out of the box, it seems like such an interesting little thing.
How good he could explain was another matter.]
W-Well... there's a v-video button here...
W-Wait, you're using that already...
U-Umm... There's... Oh, there's this p-private function...
[He stumbled, mumbling through the buttons and their functions as he stared at the screen, doing his best to try and describe. It was probably only slightly useful at most.]
Re: [Video]
I'll do my best to remember everything. You made it look so uncomplicated, I'm sure I won't forget it now.
I-It's not hard at all. I... I bet you'll be r-really good at it.
[Content and more relaxed, he leaned back a bit.]
D-Do you know about... about the cities, y-yet?
Re: [Video]
[That's right.
He wants to know more.
You did such a good job the first time around, lets hear more about this place]
[Oh boy, that was asking a lot of him. He only even vaguely knew about some of the cities that he didn't visit. He was living in a tree in the middle of the woods now, for heaven's sake.
But, that led him to try and stick to a familiar and more comfortable subject.]
W-Well... You look like y-you should come to F, Fayren. Are you a kind of m-mage?
Re: [Video]
Is it nice in Fayren? Is that where you live?
[That actually got him excited.]
I... I think Ted usually l-likes priests. B-But he hasn't liked all the priests here... A-Are you a healer?
Fayren is really pretty, and p-peaceful, and not scary.

Re: [video]
[Totally not an asshole totally on accident.
Mostly.
Like seventy five percent]
You didn't figure out not to push the button the first time it made the noise? Geez, you're some kinda backward bumpkin, aren't ya?
[pot, kettle, black]
Re: [video]
But since you seem to know so much about it, I'd love to hear you explain how it works to me.
[Bluff. Called]
[granted, Bartolomeo does know how to use it, more or less. It's like a den-den mushi only not at all cute! But there is no 'helping strangers' in his vocabulary]
You know how to read, don't you? Just read what it says, it's that easy! Any idiot can figure it out!
Re: [video]
I'd hate to make more of those sounds again, I barely even know what it is.

[he really is not doing himself any favors, here]

[A video was turned on. Abel was fumbling in the dark. Who would be buggered to bother at this later hour.
Mumbling sleepily on the communicator.]
Weh?? Is my alarm clock on??? Huh, wait a minute. It's still dark out, so it's not morning yet?
[Oh this guy explains much.]
Well, what are you doing at this late hour? Are you a new arrival?
no subject
Oh yes, I just got here! Sorry, I had no idea I'd be waking anyone up, I just had to see what this thing was.
There's nothing quite like it at home, you see.
no subject
[NO ONE ASK YOU.
Considering it's really dark in Abel's apartment, it's hard to see his face on the communicator.]
Oh a new arrival, eh? Well, did you find somebody to help you around?
no subject
I did find someone to talk to though!
no subject
Oh, who? Considering Genessia is a small world. Ah, this is not your homeworld, you see, and neither is mine. People are pulled here, but for now, I don't know why myself.
[Yawning...not morning yet, and he has plans to make breakfast's special in his shop today.]
no subject
This wonderful man named Bartolomeo. He's such a good conversationalist.
no subject
[2AM? Fuuuck. Need sleep. Those omelettes and bacon don't make themselves. Yawning a bit.]
Oh, what about him? I never heard of him.
no subject
He invited me over to a warehouse to talk to him for a while.
