It occurs to me that with the change of weather, those who have Pokemon will likely be seeking to help their Pokemon adapt to the colder climates. I've recently cultivated a large crop of Aspear berries that I am offering free of charge to Pokemon trainers.
For those unfamiliar, Aspear berries promote healthy circulation and are very valuable when combating ice-type attacks, as it can help Pokemon recover from freezing. All I ask in return is a chance to see what Pokemon each trainer has.
I'll admit this is far from an act of altruism on my part. I still seek stronger opponents, and knowing what Pokemon are in Genessia can help me find those opponents. Battles are purely voluntary however, and I will not pressure anyone into such a situation or hold the berries back from those who do not wish to participate.

[That way she and the Pokemon could grow together.]

That would be best. I will gather some of the younger Pokemon in this area.

[The little dragon bows her head.]
Which area will I find them?
no subject
My gate is in Fayren, it is fairly close to the entrance of Fayren proper. You should not have any problem finding it.

[There's a short beat and then...]
Ah...it occurs to me that we haven't traded introductions. My name is Liora.

[He nods a bit.]
And I am Mewtwo.

[She's heard stranger ones, though.]
[She'll fly towards the entrance of Fayren until she finds the subarchway. She'll then enter it and look around for...anyone really. Either Mewtwo or any other "Pokemon."]

[Mewtwo will take the time to call some of the native Pokemon in the area to greet the dragon. The most inquisitive of which being a young Scyther that wastes no time inspecting the newcomer as Mewtwo watches on from a nearby perch.]
no subject
Ah...h-hello...are you a...Pokemon?
no subject
[The Scyther flits about excitedly, clanking its arm blades together as a voice echoes within Liora's head.]
All who are native to this place are Pokemon. That Scyther is just nearing adolescence and has attempted to goad me into sparring with it on multiple occasions despite the gulf in our powers. He should be a fitting training partner.

[She looks over the gathered Pokemon again.]
There are so many different kinds...
[She studies the Scyther closely. Its blades make it look like a physical fighter. Liora isn't a physical fighter; she always had Cane and Snowy for that. But these opponents would be good for building agility and endurance. She also notes Scyther's green color, trying to guess its element.]
Scyther...? Is it...a Nature-based creature?
no subject
There are no 'nature' type Pokemon, I'm afraid. Scyther is a bug-type. They are known for swift speed and agile strikes. However they do not typically fare well against dragon-types like you.
[That last part was more directed at the young Scyther, though the warning seems to have flown over the bug's head as it continued flitting about eagerly.]
no subject
[So hopefully element wouldn't be an issue with this one. Fair enough. Liora takes a deep breath.]
All right...here goes...
[She flaps her wings and flies up several feet over the ground, hovering in place. She then begins to concentrate, building up magic for her first spell.]
no subject
[The Scyther wastes no time flitting up and swiping at Liora five times in quick succession. However the blows themselves didn't pack much punch on their own but the repeated strikes could quickly begin to add up.]
no subject
[For now, she casts an offensive spell, throwing a white ball of energy towards Scyther.]
no subject
[Mewtwo sees the blood and waves a hand, erecting a barrier between the two. Scyther impacts the barrier head first with an indignant noise just as the ball of energy does. There's something of a scolding tone to Mewtwo's look, but he doesn't want harm to come to either of them.]
Hmm. It would appear that Scyther's blades are a bit much for your scales to deflect just yet. You are welcome to heal yourself in the pool here, but I would suggest putting this battle on hold for now. I will attempt to find some other method of training for you however.
no subject
Okay...
[She crawls over to the pool and lets herself soak in it.]
I'm a caster...not really a fighter. Normally I'd have Cane and Snowy with me...but without them...I don't know what to do...
