[The video opens to Jaune trying to fix the camera, before finally settling his device and the picture down. Wearing his jeans and hoodie, he's sitting crosslegged on his bed which he takes a lot of pride in. Oh, and there's a hole in his wall that looks like something around seven or so feet was violently knocked through it but pay no attention to that.

Jaune takes a sip from what looks like an energy drink before he starts talking. He sounds a bit stilted and awkward, as if he didn't plan any of this.]

In case you don't know me, I'm Jaune Arc. I work for the Nova City Branch of Schnee Company, led by Weiss Schnee her snowiness herself. But today, I'm here to promote a very important non-profit side company called Genessia Scientific Research Foundation, or GSRF for short. If you went to the party, which you should have. [He points at the camera, then takes a sip of his drink which is precariously balanced on his comforter.] Then you probably know a little about it. But if you didn't, then stop watching this video and go to GSRF. Right now. I'm serious, stop watching. We have a lot of great things we offer but we can't do this for free. By donating, you get to attend the best parties. There's lots of neat sh-- things going on there. We have some of the most dedicated scientists working there, and they're really smart and stuff. At least I think they are. Don't you have to go to school for a long time to play with needles and other instruments? So yeah, if you're interested in science, or want to find out more about this place and donate your time, we could always use more interested people.

What else can I say about it-- Uhhh. Oh yeah, I got this useful pamphlet! [He picks up a GSRF informative pamphlet which he never bothered to read, carelessly showing it off and holding it like it's more than a piece of paper.] You can get one of these for free and you could read it to learn more. You could read it with your friends...you could even frame it and have a poster. Or write your grocery list on it. It's incredibly versatile! GSRF pamphlets, offered for free at GSRF. But we offer lots of cooler stuff for people who donate. Like a free tote! Weiss do we get free totes? [He looks over his shoulder.] Oh. She's not around. Anyway, you have the word of Jaune Arc you'll get this super cool free tote that you can use for...anything if you donate 50 redbills to the GSRF Foundation. You could put your drinks in it, or your car keys...you could even just carry it around. Just in case you find a stray cat and want to take it home.

Don't be mean to stray cats.

Go check it out yourselves because like science people always say, learning's an opportunity. This carefully thought out advertisement promoting GSRF was not funded by any company and done voluntarily by myself without being assigned or rewarded for doing it.

[There's the hint of a small, hollow smile.]

Yeah. I... I remember how you sounded.

You wouldn't be wrong if you thought that. But I know you didn't. [Before he can break down, he buries his face in his hands for a moment. He's not crying, but he is overwhelmed. His hands are trembling when he lets them drop and sits back up, holding is wrist. He stares down at his hands, saying nothing for a while.] Look, I-- I'm not trying to give you permission or anything like that. I'm only saying this because I don't want you to feel guilty, or bad about anything you choose to do. I just want you to be happy. That's all I've ever wanted and if Sun can do that, then I can be happy for you. If anyone deserves it, it's you. ...And Sun deserves it too. He's a good guy.

[He'll always feel the same way for Weiss, but he understands now that some things are better left unsaid.]

[ Weiss stared at the hole in the wall silently. Not for any particular reason, but Weiss always felt more comfort looking outside the walls around her than within.

After a few moments, she allowed herself to unceremoniously fall back against Jaune's bed, her eyes falling to the ceiling. ]

I know. Thank you. I just.. I want to make sure we're going to be okay. That's why I wanted to talk about this at all. The last thing I want is to lose you and if we keep things like this from each other, even if it hurts, we always end up arguing or hurting each other more.

[ she holds up her left hand's pinky. ]

Promise me.

We're okay. I never want to lose you either. [His voice catches, and he finally glances down at her.] ...I know I messed it up, but you did do a good job on the party. It was cool, seeing how everything went together. I think it was the best one this year.

[He just stares blankly at her pinky before a bit of light returns to his eyes. He extends his right pinky to lock them in a promise.]

I promise.

[And then he flops down on the bed next to her, silently gazing up at the ceiling.]

Weiss?

[ she holds his pinky for a moment even after he falls beside her before putting both of her hands on her own lap. ]

Yes, Jaune?

There's something I need to tell you. It's important, but I'm not ready yet. I don't want to hurt you or make you angry, so can you wait for a little while? Until I'm ready.

You know I have enough of a temper that if it's worth getting angry over I will. I won't pretend that's not going to happen, but I'll wait.

It's just-- You don't have to answer, but have you ever seen things? People who aren't around anymore.

I graciously accept that that is the one way in which I am mentally healthy.

[ A beat. He couldn't mean- did he think she was-? ] You're not talking about Pyrrha, are you?

Good. I'm glad.

[It is good and he would never wish it on her. He just hopes she doesn't think he's crazy. There's a flash of pain before his eyes and voice dull a little.] I... I saw her at the party. It's not the first time this has happened, but it felt so real. All the details were right, everything, she even spoke and I just wanted to let you know in case. I think there might be something wrong with me, Weiss.

No, Jaune, you're not crazy. She's literally here. I saw her too.

[ She sighs. ] I told you already. When people die or disappear, that's not it. Based on my conversation, she doesn't remember before, so don't bring it up. It just makes people uncomfortable when you do.

She's here? [His voice cracks and he just rolls on his side, hugging himself and not saying anything until she's done.]

I wasn't going to. Anyway, that's what I needed to tell you. And your Christmas present, but I'm not sure if now is a good time.

[ Weiss sits up. It's probably better in case Whitley comes by anyway. The last thing she needs his him seeing her lying around on beds with boys, even if she doesn't mean anything by it. It's not exactly proper, but a lot of her behavior isn't anymore. ]

She is. And it's as good a time as any. I need to go get yours, too.

[He stares at the wall and suddenly sits up.]

Okay. Let's go. Are you okay with going for a walk?

What? Sure...

[ She looks surprised. ]

Let me grab Myrtenaster.

Okay, and I'll grab...whatever I'm calling it.

[ Weiss gets up to go grab Myrtenaster from her room. She'll give Jaune his when they get back.

Jokingly, she knocks on the hole in the wall instead of the door this time. ]

Ready.

It's unlocked!

[He jokes back, managing to brighten a little while she left. He's armed himself with his Dust infused gauntlet and pockets something.]

All right, time for another adventure for Team White Knight. [He starts walking out.]

[ She looks amused at the team name and follows him out. ]

That name is going to be redundant when I can summon my knight completely. Considering it's going to be white, like the Beowulf from the other night. I think you'll be rather impressed, though.

[ She knows Jaune has no idea what any part of it looks like or of the size. He knows the background of it at least now, but.. he wasn't even there for the arm, so she's just going to have to talk about it because the world knows she can't draw. ]

Just call it White Knights. I don't think that's really fair. I'm pretty sure I literally can not compete with that.

[At least his dignity can always fight by her side now. Once he gets outside, he looks at his device for a second.] Right, it's down this way.

The sword alone would be taller than me standing on your shoulders so it's pretty hard to compete.

[ It's OK Jaune. She keeps following him, looking a little confused. Usually something that requires changing location for is, well.. big. What are they going to see? ] I'm right behind you.

And suddenly I regret asking.

[He looks a little disheartened. But he seems to cheer up, turning around to walk backwards while he talks to Weiss.] I can see that. So other than my less than professional advertisement and...everything else, how has your day been?

You're a lot more interesting to have a conversation with and I can actually summon more than just your arm, so your winning the popularity contest.

[ she'll watch his back and earn him if he's about to run into anything. ] Not terribly. I think I'm going to make cookies for Nora as an apology.

Yeah, for now. At least I'll always talk more than him. Or her, y'know, whichever.

Nora's kind of even more terrifying when she has too much sugar. But I think it'd make her happy to just have cookies, even if I don't think she blames you as much as you blame yourself. [He trips but catches himself.]

[ Weiss makes a gesture to go a little too the left a second later to try to prevent him from having an accident. ]

Well what do you suggest to try to allieve said guilt?

Ow. I don't know. If giving her cookies helps, you should do that. Does it help?
