First (?) Mission [Video/Action]

[The video feed shows a woman with prominent red hair, wearing steel armour and standing in front of the Fairy Haven building. She had arrived a few days ago, and after taking some time to get settled in, she's decided to address some of what she has heard. After fiddling with the camera to get a good angle, she addresses it.]

Hello, everyone. I am Erza Scarlet, of the Fairy Tail guild. I've been told that I've been here before, and while I don't remember that, I won't let that stop me from completing my work. If there's any jobs that you asked me to do before I left, then I will complete them to the best of my ability.

As well, if anyone knew from my previous time here, feel free to re-introduce yourself. [She hopes that she won't get billed for any past property damage, but you've got to take the good with the bad.] I already know that none of my guildmates are here, aside from Mavis, but if anyone ever sees someone with this stamp on them, [She points to the blue wing-like mark on her arm] let me know immediately.

[After making that video, she'll be wandering around Fayren. The main places that stand out to her are Fawn's Forge (definitely a place that she wants to keep in mind, considering how much she (over?)prepares for and how often her weapons and armour break), Mokona's Magical Cafe (she's trying to avoid spending a lot of money until she gets a job, but the sweets might be too tempting), Scribes and Scripts (she'll be seeing what books they have on magic, and when she thinks that nobody's looking, she'll also be checking the romance section), and of course Fairy Haven.]

I'd imagine it must be tough to run a guild with so few people, but if anyone can manage it, it's the First! [It's been a few days, but she's still pretty excited to work alongside the guild's first master - it's like being one of the founding members of Fairy Tail!]

I figure she'll let me get accommodated, and then let me know. Why can't you tell me, though? It is your request, after all.

She's done it before.

{ He wasn't sure how it went from point A (just her, Warrod, Yuri, and Precht) to point B (enough members to be considered a unit all on its own during the Second Trade War), but it certainly didn't take long for Fairy Tail to become a major player in Fiore, if not all of Ishgar. In the current era, it was definitely the most powerful guild.

... Come to think of it, why isn't there an international Grand Magic Games? }

Mostly because I consider it complete, even if, technically, it is still an open contract. Realistically, I do not expect them to return.

[The first comment is a bit odd, but given how talkative Mavis is, it seems natural that she would have brought up the founding the Fairy Tail guild to her friends here, (not to mention the similar circumstances with how the guild was created in Genessia) so Erza brushes it off.]

Oh, so you're looking out for people you know. Are they your friends or your enemies? [Sounds like it could be either, though which one they are would definitely make a difference for how to handle the situation.]

Well, calling them "friends" is a bit of a stretch, admittedly. Though, I wouldn't call them enemies, either. { Granted, he became much closer to Sayla in her time here and he ended up killing Mard Geer in their own world, but still. } But, yes. You could say I was looking out for them. And Fairy Tail, to a lesser extent.

All right, I'll be sure to ask the First about it. I don't think I got your name, though - I can hardly tell her "someone on the device said that I was supposed to keep an eye out for someone." That seems a little unclear.

I'm sure there is a record somewhere in Fairy Haven. But, if you truly have not realized who I am, yet...

{ Zeref smiles again; and it's still just as unclear if it's genuine. }

I-- [Well, that answers where Zeref is, as well as what he looks like. Her first instinct is to throw a sword at the screen, but as that won't accomplish anything, she settles for a death glare towards the camera.] ...Tartaros or the Spriggan Twelve? Which is it? [It's hard to say - if the Spriggan Twelve had been here before, the landscape would have been heavily altered, but if it was Tartaros, she figures that she would have heard about a large number of deaths. At any rate, they seem to be the only groups that Zeref could almost call "friends".]

Tartaros. Specifically, Mard Geer, Sayla, and Silver. I made it a point not to deal with them in our world, but intervention on my part was the only way to keep the peace, here. { Back when he had far more important things to worry about than another war with Fairy Tail (and had yet to visit the Dream Docks), of course. } The deal was this: Your guild would inform me immediately if any of them, or their corresponding Books, appeared in this world. In exchange, I would tell your guild anything you wished to know about that particular etherious. All three of them went back to Earth-Land. Only one book remains, and it is in my possession.

There's still a chance they could return. I did, after all. [The thought sends a chill down her spine; while she wasn't familiar with most of Tartaros (having spent most of her time in Kyouka's "care"), every single one aside from Silver was sadistic and incredibly dangerous, from what she had heard.]

[She'll have to confirm how much of this is true with Mavis, but in the meantime, she'll play along.] I don't suppose you'd tell me which book is still here, but I'll ask regardless.

I suppose that is true. { Never say never, after all.

Zeref hesitates before answering her next question. Well, if Mavis is indeed going to allow him to live there, it's only a matter of time before Erza finds out. }

That would be E.N.D.

[She was going to make some comment, but then Zeref drops that particular bombshell.] Tartaros's master?! [This day keeps getting worse and worse.]

Mard Geer told you that, didn't he? E.N.D. is an etherious, yes, but Mard Geer was the one who claimed E.N.D. was their master, not me. { Zeref never doubted Mard Geer's sincerity in wanting to unseal the book, but the situation was far more complicated than Mard Geer thought. And really, he was, and always had been Tartaros' master, even if he never officially held the title. } There is little that I am capable of doing with the book in this world, aside from ensuring it doesn't fall into the wrong hands. I've already promised that to Mavis, and she said she would help me in that regard.

...If the First is keeping it out of the wrong hands, then I suppose I don't have to worry. [Though she will regardless - that's Erza for you.]

I don't suppose this deal could be expanded? If... [She pauses; part of her is concerned that saying it would make it more likely to happen.] ...any of the Spriggan Twelve show up, I'd want to know as much about them as possible. [Especially Eileen - she's heard plenty about her history, but the full extent of her abilities (and any potential weaknesses, though she doubts Zeref would tell her that much) remain a mystery.]

{ As soon as she starts inquiring about expanding the deal, he already knows where she's going with this. } The Imperial Military, including the Spriggan Twelve, are not another guild of murderers and cultists. They are soldiers, almost all of whom see the conflict as nothing more than fighting for their homeland, and would die for it without a second thought. Of course, this is Genessia, not Ishgar. { And the need to secure Fairy Heart is effectively moot. }

If one of them shows up, here, there is a nine in twelve chance that that is all that will matter to them. But to answer you question... I am open to having that discussion with Mavis. { A beat. He's not completely clueless, Erza. And he'd have to be blind not to see the resemblance. } ... Or is this about one of them in particular?

[She's not so sure about the Spriggan Twelve - hard to think that they're just soldiers when at least two of the members think that they're gods, going by what Wendy told her - but she won't bother debating the subject.]

...Any of them could be an issue, but I've met Eileen Belserion, if that's what you're asking. [And seeing as the last thing Erza remembers from home is that she had possessed Wendy, Erza's got a vested interest in making sure that Eileen doesn't get her way in this place.] For me, at least, she takes priority.

{ In Dimaria's case, she does have an argument to make in that regard; or at least, that she is the living vessel of an actual deity. Ajeel was just being Ajeel. }

I should have known. { This must have happened after he left the room with her and Mavis. Did Mavis escape? Did Erza and the others break through his lines of defense? } If she shows up here, it would be in your and Mavis' best interests to let me know immediately. Except, perhaps, for August, I'm the only person whom she will listen to, and she only does so most of the time.

...I see. [That's not a good sign - if even Zeref has trouble keeping her under control, then she might need to figure out how to beat Eileen sooner than she thought. Someone like her might take Mavis escaping from the Spriggans' clutches as a personal insult.] Aside from her, who are the other two that you were concerned with? If they're going to go after the First regardless of whether or not it would mean anything here, I need to which ones to keep an eye out for in particular.

{ Indeed she did, though Zeref was taken from just slightly before that in his last trip to the Dream Docks. He supposed that he shouldn't be surprised that Eileen just couldn't resist tracking down Erza. }

I don't believe they'll do that. Their concern with Mavis extends only to the fact that they knew I wanted to use Fairy Heart. They have more... Personal, motivations for their involvement than that. They will be content not to pursue Mavis if I tell them that the matter of Fairy Heart is settled. Even if Acnologia were here, there would no point in using it in this world, regardless of whether or not Mavis would decide on her own if it was finally time to activate it.

If, however, they appear here, Mavis will be the first to know.
