Observing. A lot of the time, it can be straightforward, like when one side is trying to use ancient weapons to murder innocents, [Dark guilds are not especially known for their subtlety] but when it's not so obvious, it helps to have all of the important facts before acting. I've had a friend of mine suffer because people acted without knowing all of the details.

Let's see...well, like I've said before, it's the moral quality or habit of perfecting the will and rendering to all their desert. It also mandates that all are left to the enjoyment of their rights--a topic in its own 'right'. [c wut he did thar]

The mystical aspects are, I confess, more fun and more profound, starting with the fact that Justice is a woman.

Justice as what others had said, but justice is also making sure you find the right person when someone is hurt or killed and is punished accordingly.

How does one determine making the punishment fit the crime?

That I cannot say. In my world in certain countries the punishment is determined by a judge. I don't know how they decide what the right punishment is.

That's the difficult part. I think in lieu of a reliable legal system, we can only follow our own sense of right and wrong, and hope for the best. And inalienable rights aside, be respectful of other cultures having different values.
