[Kamui Mini Event] Broken Minds and Bleeding Hearts
Who: Those who signed up and anyone else who wants to help
What: Kamui event. Action. Chaos. Bloodshed.
When: March 10th
Where: Genessia City
Warnings: Graphic violence, people-eating, Koishi frowning, possible feels.
It was not unusual for Koishi to go missing for days at a time. It was unusual, however for Koishi to go anywhere without her hat. And that beloved article had been left at Satsuki's house for the past week with no sign of its owner. Unfortunately, due to the little youkai's unconscious nature it would not be possible to simply seek her out.
The only thing that could be done is wait.

With a rather jarring shake the anonymous feed began. The device had been dropped the angle showing part of a blue-tinted arm and several wisps of green hair. Blood beaded at the points where needles had been forced into the exposed flesh, each connected to a shimmering red thread. The walls and ceiling were nondescript and there was no way to tell exactly where it was taking place. The figure was obviously still breathing, a small whimper audible just over a pair of running boots.
A gruff and muttered 'dammit' could be heard as the boots stopped, a pair of black gloved hands fumbling for the device. The camera briefly showed a gas-mask covered face before the feed cut.
****
[Action]
About an hour after the feed a figure was spotted screaming through the streets of Nova city at amazing speeds, crashing into cars and the corners of buildings. Despite the damage, all injuries resulted from this were minor at worst. It seemed to rush around blindly as if confused, turning, and charging through the gate to Genessia city less than five minutes after its first appearance.
It moved faster than people could pull out their phones, though security cameras would likely capture the image fairly clearly. It was Koishi. The hair was blood-streaked but unmistakable. She was clad in what could only be a black straitjacket and blindfold made of some sort of thick and heavy material. The center of the chest was a heavy lock with several chains to reinforce the pinning of her arms. The shoulders were fairly large and adorned with white smudges of what had once probably been eyes. And from under them extended two long pieces of silk, each wrapping several times around her torso and ending in metal hooks that rested at her waist like ribs.
She seemed to vanish upon arrival in Genessia City, darting off in one direction. And that's when the trouble began. Scattered destruction started all over the city, triggered seemingly at random. None caused that much destruction, but the ensuing fires and broken glass would ensure that firemen, law enforcement, and volunteers would be very busy.
Koishi herself was moving fast, the silk unwinding into a pair of arm-like tentacles; the metal ribs becoming claws. She grabbed people off the street, tearing into them, sometimes toying with them. People were released or let go at seemingly random as the little youkai fell into the rhythm of a seasoned predator. She moved fast. Sometimes running, sometimes flying, sometimes blinking. And sometimes she would simply vanish entirely.
***
As Koishi began her hunt, Ragyo stood atop a nearby skyscraper. She was positioned so that the sun was at her back, masking her natural aura. She simply watched for a moment, a hand on her hip before muttering to herself "La vie est drole" and turning to walk away to see to the preparation of other plans.
((OOC: Each character or group that signed up will get a toplevel here and each attack will happen within the span of time between Koishi's escape and when Satsuki finds her. If you signed up you should have a toplevel below. Each is designated with the sigil icon and they are in alphabetical order. If you didn't sign up feel free to tag the toplevel for reactions or relief effort if you so choose. Keep in mind that no one in this event is allowed to react to or see Ragyo. This is a smaller part of a larger plot.))

Shit. Okay. Time to switch things up. She's still far enough away so that his sniper will do him more good than his assault, so he just switches his ammo out for some high explosive round. Using his sensors (thank goodness they at least worked on her) to pinpoint her location, he sets up another shot and fires another round at her, popping the heat sink immediately after to cool his sniper.
That should do it.
((ooc: high explosive rounds detonate on impact, in case that wasn't obvious. It can also damage enemies hidden behind cover depending on how thick their defense is))
no subject
That shouldn't be possible.
She charged again, faster this time, a strange aura surrounding her. She seemed to vanish for a brief instant, his sensors losing track of her before she appeared much MUCH closer. Teleportation maybe? One more blink and Koishi was upon him, razor sharp claws unwinding to strike.

How could she possible just take that hit? How was her arm even still attached? Think, Vakarian. The explosive round did stop her for a moment, so maybe she just needs a few more hits. So he just has to land a few more on her and-
Son of a bitch where did she go? This whole teleporting thing is getting old, fast.
"Come on..." he mutters, waiting for her to reappear so he can- okay that's a little closer than he wanted.
"Shit!" He jumps back and rolls to his right, out of the grasp of her claws so they just barely scratch the surface of his armor. That was a little too close for comfort. He switches his guns off his back; this looks like it's a close range fight now, much as he'd prefer to keep far away from her. His spray is a little less accurate that his sniper fire was, but he's pretty sure he's landing some hits on her. It's hard to tell, though, since bullets don't seem to do a damn thing anyway.
He's in trouble, and he knows it. He's slowly advancing backwards as he fires, trying to put some space between them. He should try to find some cover, but he doesn't dare turn his back on her, not when she's this close. Besides, a small part of him is still hoping enough bullets will stop her.
((ooc: purely flavor because it doesn't matter against her but his assault is using armor piercing rounds.))

The bullets did seem to have an effect, albiet negligible. They were not piercing their target, but the velocity and rapid force were enough to make her stumble back, the odd sash-like arms curling up like a shield, reflexively sheltering her face from the onslaught despite the more powerful sniper rifle proving useless.
In fact, all it seemed to be doing was aggravating her.

"Don't like that, huh?" Garrus purrs, confidence
foolishlyreturning. Maybe she's synthetic after all. He stops firing for a second and taps something on his omni-tool to activate a concussive shot, which will make his next shot a little more powerful and hopefully stun her, and opens fire once more. With any luck it'll work and give him a chance to put some distance between them - he's seen what those claws can do and he would rather not see it again.no subject
She was advancing faster now, ducking down quite suddenly and breaking into a run. Lunging, she lashed out once more the sash falling short and scraping only the concrete where he had been standing moments before. She expected him to dodge though, not stopping to check her empty claws and swinging again with the other.
This one caught him in the calf, though it was more of a grab than a cut, the bladed claws only digging into he metal as opposed to shearing it apart.

This fight is not going nearly as well as he planned, and he's seriously starting to wonder if this is how he's finally going to go. At least it's with a fight.
He turns his omni-tool into a blade. It's not something he does a lot, but, hey, desperate times and all that. He slashes upwards; if he can make contact it'll release an electric shock, which will hopefully stop her long enough for him to formulate a new plan of attack - he's running out of ideas over here.
no subject
At least that's the conclusion she would act on.
Considering her position there was little chance of her actually dodging his omni-tool. Having to hesitate a moment to free her other clawed arm from the concrete, she lunged at him again a little bit too late. As her claws reached for his face, the blade made contact. It couldn't cut her but the sudden shock drawing a surprised screech from her as she jerked back but didn't quite crumple, though she did take a slice out of his face from the blow.
Bizarrely enough, the outfit itself was shifting, or trying to, revealing red threads that extended into and pulled at the skin beneath the covered areas. Neither the outfit nor the wearer seemed at all hurt. Confused seemed like a better term.
It didn't last long though, but Koishi didn't lunge again. She looked more wary. Garrus had pulled out quite a few weapons she had never encountered and her nature was pressing on her to cut and run. At the same time, the outfit looked like it was rippling, becoming shinier and less flexible looking. More prepared for another hit. If nothing else it seemed somewhat revitalized by the shock...
Fortunately, or unfortunately, Koishi raised her claws to lick the blood from them, cringing this time for a different reason. He did not taste good. Therefore there was no reason to stay. She backed up slowly, watching for changes in his mental state. He had hit her from far away before. She would save energy and leave, but wanted to make sure he would not disrupt her hunt again.
