[ Well the weather may not be as ideal as Lucy would have wanted it, cloudy and all, BUT it wasn't raining. So it was good enough for her! She'd sent out personal invites to her friends, and encouraged them to bring THEIR friends, as Fairy Tail's motto is always, "The more the merrier!" She actually hoped to see some new faces at the party in fact. Under Erza's supervision, the guild was tidied up and made presentable for guests. Most of the rooms were even open to the public.

Regina, Neveren and Justyne had even pitched in, helping with the cooking; their dog Herb was content to lounge outside and watch the fuss. As for Lucy, she was putting the final touches on few of the tables near the pool, keeping an eye out for guests.

[ OOC: Just setting up extra threads, but go nuts! Everyone is welcome who has positive, neutral, or no CR with the Fairy Tail gang and wants to play in a pool and be exposed to the madness :D For visual reference the guild closely resembles this ]

[ She let out an Ack! at the splash, laughing as she sent another splash of water at him. She just has to get the upper hand, that's all! ...maybe SHE can dunk -HIM-. yeah! She'll just have to get closer, fufufu. ]

Oh you bet we will~

[You know what's better than one hand splashing water at your opponent? TWO HANDS!]

[ ACK! At first Lucy goes on the defensive with a squeal of surprise but you know what. TWO can play at that game pal! Though it's hard to counterattack with water flying like that but she's giving it her all, splashing him RIGHT back and feeling properly silly about it, from as much as she's laughing. Bunch of kids they are. ]

[Oh really? Here. Have a taste of his Splasher gattling! He punches the water again and again to make bigger splashes in Lucy's direction.]

[ OGOD WHy, why does she always challenge Natsu? He's gone and upped the ante again! ... if she had her keys she'd be tempted to call out Aquarius, but then she'd get washed up too. ]

Haha-aigh!! Ha -s..stop stop! Hold on a second, Natsu-!

[ Will he see through that ruse? Because she reasons that he can't keep splashing if he doesn't have room to do so! And she's gonna inch closer to try and grab onto him. HA!... course that will put her at an awkward position too, but she'll get to that later. ]

[He actually does fall for it somewhat since the merciless barrage comes to a halt as he tilts his head curiously in Lucy's direction.]

What? You wanna beg for mercy?

[ Heh. Heh. Heh. He's fallen right into her trap! There's a hint of a familiar looking smirk when he stopped for a second. ]

Me? Beg? Ha! Not a chance!

[ She hops forward, reaching out to capture him in her arms. MWAHAHA, ... this may backfire on her in a moment. But for now she thinks she's terribly sneaky and clevah. ]

[Has he really? Because the moment she jumps to capture him, he does fall but his own arms close around her figure hugging her tight to his chest while he falls on his back in the pool. Something tells him it's not him who will have problems getting out of the hold of the other.]

[ Wait wait wait. Did he know - or suspect she was going to do that? Lucy mentally squeaked when he closed his arms around her but... she committed to her sneak attack? .. only .. now she's not really sure what her sneak attack actually -was-. ]

A...hahah, I... have you now?

[ Wow. Try to sound a LITTLE more unsure Lucy. But she can't help it - he's holding her awfully snug and he's awfully close and... um... ]

[His instincts might have known. He instead is almost as surprised as her because oh wow she was close now.]

[He's not convinced. After all whose arms are more secure around the other.]

[ His. Definitely his. And she actually didn't mind it a bit - quite the opposite. He's just so ...close, and warm and...and she should REALLY do something to get space. ]

... Y-yeah. So... you should give up now.

[ ..so convincing. And there's a part of her that knows how ridiculous she sounds, which makes her grin a little. Or maybe that was just him. ... in either case she shouldn't be leaning closer. That is the -opposite- of what was the appropriate thing! ]

[But why get space when it feels so right? Truly there's no solid reason to do anything of the sort.]

Give up? And what would you do if I did?

[He not anywhere close to capitulating but he'll shake up her confidence in victory a bit before turning the tables.]

[ ...Yeah she really can't think of a single reason why she would want to move away right now. All the same she felt her cheeks warming, shaking her head. Focus, focus! Don't let him psych you out Lucy! ]

What would I do? H-hah! What do you think?

[ She'd... splash him? .... .... ... maybe. ]

[It's just the exertion. At least that's what Natsu thinks. However he's not about to back down from a challenge.]

Well you'd probably make me fan you again?

[ Yes. The exertion sh... she'll go with that. Except... ]

Wh.. No! I learned my lesson there, you'd just whip up another hurricane or something!

[He bursts into laughter at her remark.]

That was your fault for not telling me how hard you wanted to be fanned~

[Oh he's totally aware of how feeble that excuse is.]

[ Dangit why can she not be peeved with Natsu when he's happy and laughing like that. Or when he's close like this? Or ever at all? She tries to look offended and hurry, really she does, but she ends up giggling instead. ]

In any case, no! [ She pauses, grinning. ]

I'd just... I'd just do something you wouldn't expect that's all!

[ He wouldn't expect her to pull herself closer to him right? ...wait, with their track record... ? ]

[Because he is Natsu~ That seems to be valid for a lot of things. He does quirk an eyebrow, looking more than a little curious.]

Is that so? That's kinda vague though. Gonna have to do better than that if you want me to buy it~

[Well he might expect it but might not too. Since usually it's an accident so having her pull him in for once might just prove surprising enough.]

[ It's so true. And so unfair! She giggles quietly at that curious look. Challenging her to do the unexpected thing she said she would? Okay then! ]

Oh...? Guess I'll have to do it then~!

[ ... y... yeah, she's totally going to do it! Because he doesn't believe her. So..there's..just the tiniest pause, before she leans in closer, pulling him in closer to her until there was almost no space between them. It took her a few seconds to be able to speak though. ]

S-so...what do you think of that? [ She's not sure where she's going with this right now actually. What if... ]

[Is all he gets out before he can feel her arms wrapped around him and her body pressed fully against his. Okay he's briefly surprised. Though it's more from the fact that she isn't freaking out like all those other times.]

Well it's a surprise. Though it feels more like a reward than a loser's punishment.

[ She's freaking out internally. Kinda. At least that's what her heart is saying, as quickly as it's beating right now. ]

S-see, I ..told you would I'd do something...unexpected..

[ So she should let go now. ... yeah no, that's not happening. ]

This...? This... isn't a reward.

[ She's glances away as her face grows pinker at a thought, battling with herself quietly. Apparently after an awkward minute or two, she managed to stammer out an addition to that statement. ]

This is.

[ Impulsive, reckless, bold, aggressive or just..acting on something she'd been wanting to do since they watched the cherry blossoms together. Something she'd been resisting and balking, freaking out about for some time. Either way she rather quickly leans up the rest of the way to kiss him. ]

[Well she's doing a great job at containing it then.]

Yeah you did I guess.

[He still didn't sound all that convinced. Maybe that's why he suddenly feels himself getting pulled in.]

Hu-mmm!?!

[This sensation. Oh yes he knew this sensation but that didn't make it any less surprising. However he doesn't feel the need to push her away either. He knows how good and right it feels. Which is why she might start feeling him push his lips back to hers.]

[ She's learned over time. Even though internally she didn't think she'd ever stop freaking out. She didn't think he was all that convinced when she leaned in closer - that's absolutely why she upped the ante. Yeah that's the only reason. Sure.

...well that's not very believable is it?

She did have to admit it. It felt... so -right- with his arms around her, and with his lips against hers. She had had every intention to just give him that quick kiss and pull away- like she always did when they were close like this. But... this time she can't quite bring herself to do so. In fact she does the exact opposite, letting her lips part with a soft sigh as she deepened the kiss. ... ... she is -clearly- not thinking right now. ]

[She upped the ante and kept upping it it seems because his eyes widen a bit when he feels her lips parting a little. He doesn't quite know what happens next though he does notice how his lips seem to fit in better now so after a moment of confusion, instincts kick in and he pushes back as a low rumble leaves his chest

Not thinking sounds best. After all they aren't exactly in a private place.]

[ Well now he know how she feels when he upps the ante on her! Eeeeexcept this was completely different. When he responds by pushing back into that kiss, an involuntary noise somewhere between a whimper and a humm of pleasure escapes in turn, the warmth in her face growing at the sound of that rumble from Natsu.

Wait wait, you mean they -AREN'T- the only two people in the world? It feels like it, when she's with him. She breaks the kiss for a second, if only so she could catch her breath. As much as she wanted to kiss him again; ... wait till she comes down from that high and realizes where she is. ]
