You know what? Something ridiculous occurred to me. Not once for all the time I've been here have I made any sort of post on this network on my own. I've had this useful source at my fingertips for over twelve whole months and I've never even considered starting a discussion of my own. It seems even sillier now that I've said it out loud. Typed it out loud? You get the point.
So, for those of you that don't know me, Jefferson's the name and hats are the game. As in I make them. Or I did. Been thinking about starting that up again, actually, so this is the part where this all becomes less one-sided. I'm looking for hat opinions. What's good, what's bad, what you'd use one of three wishes to abolish from history. Enlighten me.
Also. One other thing I've been wondering about. If you've lived here a while, how long? Do we actually know who's been around the longest? Who's the lucky record breaker? I get that this is an isolated question and probably not something people want to talk about and all but it's been on my mind. Curiosity and the cat.

Re: [text]
Wonderful! You'll have to let me know when you're open for commissions, or something along those lines. Suppose I'll have to ask whether they'll appreciate covering their hair in any capacity.
Pffha, aesthetics, then? Art for art's sake? That's very fine. Any particular reason head-wear got your goat and became such a consuming muse?
Ah, another globe-trotter. Suppose Genessia wasn't anything shocking, then. I'm sorry to hear that; goodness, to think practically every world became contaminated with sin. I had hoped Earth might be singular in that; suppose misery loves company, even universal company.

More or less. I guess you could call it a way to keep the mind sharp. If you're creative enough you don't have to repeat the same thing more than once.
Probably not as shocking as it was for a lot of other people. Can't say I'm happy about having no choice in it but there isn't much to do about that. Maybe there's still some good ones out there if you look long enough, but the people there probably wouldn't know it was good if nothing bad existed to begin with.
Re: [text]
The tricky, nigh-impossible part would be making a cap for that head. It's very large, for one. I'd guess five times bigger than mine. Not only that, but there's such a pointed shock of hair on top. Getting any hat at all to adhere to that would be a triumph in and of itself. You'd have to be a genius to pull that off.
[aka a hat even an anime character could wear]
Heh, sorry, not a reasonable first request, I know.
Oh, I wouldn't go that far. Contrast helps define things, yes, but good knows itself. The superior is the judge of both it and its inferiors, after all. Being able to know something only by opposition is a sad state of affairs. Wouldn't want to know your hats were beautiful only because one had seen so many ugly ones, eh?
[text]
I don't know, does it know itself? How can the superior know it's superior if there are no inferiors to begin with?
Re: [text]
It's constant enough, all right. Goodness knows what barber he employs. Or even how an aquatic creature has hair. Ah, here's a picture...
"Namur"'s the name. Of course, you must not to breathe a word about any of this to him. Or is that impossible? Will you require measurements and spoil a surprise?
Well, of course comparitives like "superior" require relation to be sensible. But "good", a comparitive only with no essence of its own? That is difficult to imagine.
[text]
[ Honestly, it had taken him a few minutes to reply. This one would be hard. ]
You're kinda posting this on the network where he could find it at any time, but sure. He won't hear anything from me. I can probably come up with measurement estimates with this photo for reference but I'd prefer you came to look at them before I started actually making something. I'll get back to you about what that something is going to be.
I'm finding it hard to imagine the other way, but maybe you're talking to the wrong person. I mean, I'm just the hat guy.
Re: [video]
Ah! Didn't think of that. Ah well, I doubt he's that curious.
[Ted's pretty sure he's the only one that fanatically reads each and every network post to get info about people. Totally unthinkable that anyone would get the same idea.]
Well, thank you for whatever efforts you put in! I certainly hope you're The hat guy; I doubt any other guy would serve. I'll try and surreptitiously acquire the measure of that fishhead. Remember, cap of purest midnight! I leave any other detail to you.
