[When the video clicks on, it's a little fuzzy, because the device has been shoved in Jyn's pocket and she's moving, apparently. She managed to navigate to the video without meaning to while she was stuffing the contents of the box she woke up with into her pockets. The screen is smeared with moisture, which is just barely perceptible since the communicator is facing outward and there's some light coming through the fabric. In the background Jyn can be heard, though it's slightly muffled.]

This doesn't make any sense, where is this? What am I doing here?

[She sounds somewhere between upset and panicky. The last thing that she can remember, she was about to die, along with Cassian, and now she's woken up, utterly alone, in some cramped little coffin in a damp cave somewhere. Waking up there in the first place would freak most people out - waking up there when you're supposed to be dead and you were with someone and now you're alone.. well, it's something. There's a sound of splashing as Jyn walks towards the exit.]

[Her arrival into this strange new world had not been that long before the other woman had awoken, though it was by sheer chance the bookworm had remained in the vicinity to hear the other voice against her own whispering.

She had been waiting around the corner of the exit, wondering what sort of person would appear when they finally left the other-worldly Bay. She was half expecting some one a bit taller, though it it some relief to see another of her gender come out from the shallow waters.

The Princess clears her throat, putting a hand to her chest and offering a small bow to the other lady.]

I did not means to eavesdrop, but am I to assume that you are new here as well? My name is Zelda, Princess of Hyrule. I arrived only a few hours ago. I am not quite sure how much help I can be but- At least find some relief in knowing the place where you've arrived is a safe haven.. [She trails off for a moment, looking over her shoulders and back in the direction she had walked from.] At least that I am aware of.

[Seeing the strange woman brings Jyn up short as she emerges from the Bay, and she stops abruptly and takes a half-step back, with her foot poised for quick action if needed. She settles some at the introduction, though - this woman doesn't seem like much of a threat, but Jyn isn't stupid enough to completely drop her guard.]

A safe haven? [If she sounds doubtful, it's because she's doubtful.] Right, that hologram woman said that this was a safe place.

[A pause, and she scuffs her boot against the stone, thinking hard.] My name is Jyn. Are you really a princess?

[Okay, there's a part of her that needs to know that. That part of her is five.]

[The blonde gives another bow, beaming brightly as she speaks. It's been some time since anyone was curious to her royal position, but then again she didn't speak with many who did not know of her lineage. It's a strange but welcome feeling, and one she is more than happy to drown in if given the chance.]

Yes, I am indeed. I've been told that it isn't a well known kingdom, least in this realm, but I am who I say I am. I'm the daughter to King Rhoam and a member of a long line of Princesses named Zelda. Quite a tradition with our family.

[It has also been some time since she has met anyone so informally, even if she was throwing out her rank and stature so casually. A hand extends out to the other girl, open and gesturing for her acquaintance to follow suit.]

It is a pleasure to meet you, Miss Jyn, though I'm sure we can both agree that we'd have hoped for better circumstances, yes?

[Jyn is still a little taken aback, both by the fact that this stranger was a princess as well as her sunny demeanor - she wasn't used to people this friendly and happy seeming.]

..yeah. It's nice to meet you, too.

[She pauses, then remarks,] I've never met a princess before. There aren't many where I'm from.

[The blonde brings a finger to her chin, lips turning slightly as her expression turns to one of thought.]

I haven't met many myself. Unfortunately there aren't many neighboring kingdoms aside from the few tribes in Hyrule. I've been fortunate enough to make friends with two, but nothing more than that.

[She pulls her hand back slowly, unsure of what to do with her appendage now that it wasn't being shaken.]

Where are you from exactly, if you don't mind my asking so?

[The familiar voice is muffled by the device being in her pocket, but when she hears it, Jyn freezes up completely. Digging in her pocket, she gets out the communicator and stares at the picture - she hadn't expected it to be on, hadn't meant to turn it on, and she certainly didn't expect to see anyone she knew here. After all, they were all-- well-- she hadn't expected to see them, that's all.]

Bodhi? Are you here too? What is this place? [She takes a breath, just on this side of frantic, and manages a shaky smile.] It's good to see you.

[It's like seeing a ghost. Only that she is also a ghost.]

[He looks relieved to see her.]

[Jyn's expression brightens visibly when she looks back to the communicator. Probably she wouldn't have let it show so much if she'd been thinking about it, but considering that, for her, Kaytoo was... well, and recently..]

[He can't smile back but he clearly sounds happy, for his standards.]

We been waiting for you. Cassian and Bodhi are here as well.

[What is this place can wait, Kay understands what information is really important to share first ]

[He looks, right now, somewhere between bored and amused. There is a little empathy in there too though.]

[After all, even if she did get to go back - which this stranger made it sound as though it were impossible - would she go back to where she'd been? Would she go back just to die? The thought is distressing.]

Star-Lord, [Peter confirmed it confidently. If that's the name she was going to go with, he wasn't going to complain. He was giving people the option now.]

So you weren't.. dying or anything when you came here? [Well, there goes one theory for why they're here.]

Are you an actual lord? I've already met a princess here. [So, you know, she had to ask.]

[ Cassian had not permitted himself to wonder or hope that more of their doomed friends would be given a second chance here. Hope is a dangerous thing, and he's still not sure if there isn't something sinister to this place, and it is worse than honorable death.

But now there's a strikingly familiar voice on the network. It jolts through him. It can't be. ]

Jyn?! [ His voice is sharp, close to a bark, with his frustration at seeing nothing but the blurry inside of her pocket.] Is that you, Jyn?!

[Hearing his voice, Jyn fumbles with the device to switch it over - going between the conversations isn't difficult, but suddenly her hands are shaking. She hadn't expected to be able to speak to Bodhi or Kaytoo, and the idea of any more of her friends, let alone Cassian, being here... it was too good to be true.]

Cassian? [Her voice breaks, and she has to close her eyes a moment and let herself find some level of stability. It doesn't really work.] I'm here. I don't know how. I'm here.

Jyn. You... [ He has to close his eyes against the onslaught of emotions. When he learned of Bodhi and Kay surviving, he had been caught up in his own panic and disorientation, but this time... He inhales, exhales.

When he speaks again, he almost manages to fake steadiness. ] Are you unhurt? Do you need help?

[ The most important things first. The why or how or when can come later. ]

I'm fine. I'm alright. [Jyn nods, forcing herself to breathe and stay as steady as she could. It's difficult.]

I've been talking to Kaytoo, and Bodhi. Where are you? How long.. [She runs out of breath halfway through the sentence, breathes in and tries again, her voice only slightly cracked.] How long has it been?

[ Garrus was in the middle of some calibrations when his phone alerted him of the video. Normally he'd check to see who was broadcasting before viewing it, but he's only half paying attention, so when he taps it on there's just a view of the ceiling, his phone on the workbench beside him.

From the sounds of it, whoever is calling has just arrived here. ]

You're on Genessia. You've been kidnapped like the rest of us. Did you even watch the holo?

[ She's going to have to give him a minute to finish if she wants to see his face. ]

[Jyn shakes her head at the communicator, and the view of somebody's ceiling.]

I watched it. [She doesn't mention that she'd had trouble absorbing what it was saying, given her state of shock. She's calmer now, so she can pretend that never happened.] I don't know if I understand it, but.. right. Kidnapped. Everyone here is?

That's right. Don't know why or by whom. [She'll get a view of him soon, though she might see the edge of his face plates if she's looking at her screen.] We're from all different galaxies, too, so don't bother trying to find a pattern there; you're shit out of luck.
