Pokemon Hunt
When this newest "event" had begun, Skeletor had hardly been interested in pursuing it. He simply had no interest in these "adorable" creatures... until his spies and Doomseekers spread throughout Genessia had reported some interesting findings indeed. These Pokemon creatures were not only "cute" but strong as well.
And Skeletor always valued strength.
And so a hunt has begun in the new gateway. Goblin forces, Doomseekers and his Evil Warriors stalk the woods of the Pokemon world tracking the creatures down. But these are no trainer battles. When Pokemon are spotted, their immediately attacked by blasts of lasers and magic and where pokeballs are not valid, simple chains and cages are used.
And overseeing it all is Skeletor himself, sitting on the back of some winged beast and reveling in the sight of the battered and burned creatures being brought to him ready to undergo the specially prepared procedures that would bend their wills to his own. Yes, they would make a fine addition to his armies.
Not only that but a few select Warriors have taken up positions in the rest of the city as well, watching the other residents who have claimed particularly powerful Pokemon. Their orders. Seize these creatures at any cost.
[OOC: So Skeletor is after Pokemon! Both from "random encounters" out in the wild and ones already claimed by trainers. So, the question now is what are you gonna do about it? Are you out there minding your own business only to be attacked by Skeletor's minions, or are you going to try to put a stop to this invasion? Keep in mind, the latter option means dealing with a number of already brainwashed Pokemon, Skeletor's forces and Skeletor himself.
A couple of notes. I'm forgoing the charm quest aspect of this event for Skeletor to focus on this as a plot so this won't be a leg up to his own charm collection, but getting your Pokemon stolen will affect your character's chance of winning one. That said, they will get the chance to reclaim them and it's up to you whether the bad guy wins the encounter or your character manages to drive them off.
The available Evil Warriors are right here so if you have a preference, pick one, otherwise you'll get a random baddy. Enjoy!]

May 10th - Late at Night
[Almost all her Pokemon are asleep and crowded around her bed, or in the bed in the case of Mightyena. Only Palkia has gone back to its Pokeball, since it's more comfortable than banging its head against the ceiling all the time.]
[As for Orihime herself, she sits on her pillow, filled with insomnia as she keeps the worry seed in her skirt pocket. She has a few maps on hand that she's searching out for signs of possible new living arrangements. She loves her Pokemon, and wants them to be happy. Kodachi could probably keep her apartment. It would be weird, though, not living next to Adam anymore. She's grown to regard him as a really good friend, and she loves sharing her weird meals with him. Maybe he'll want to move too. Maybe she can find that treehouse village she wants so badly...]
Re: May 10th - Late at Night
After the girl's foolish announcement of her new Pokemon earlier in the day, Skeletor had practically been frantic to get his hands on the large dragonlike one. Normally, Webstor was hardly concerned with gaining the blustering fool's favor... but in this case, the offered rewards were simply too great to pass up.
Some of these Pokemon would make a truly sumptuous meal.
So he creeps along, gaining entrance to the building and more specifically the one apartment. The only warning Orihime would get was a draft from an opened window.
As well as a hissing sound coming from the four glowing eyes just above her bed.]
May 10th - Late at Night
That said; it's difficult for her to be too heartless toward Orihime, so when she'd noticed the poor girl was struggling to keep from falling asleep she feeds into it. In fact she is brewing a pot of coffee in the kitchen area at this very moment; while mixing unsafe powders on the kitchen table. It's ok, she'll clean up later.]
no subject
[Mightyena's up on all fours, snarling and barking. The other Pokemon start to rouse as well, sleepy and confused. Rattata puffs itself up, leaping onto the nightstand and snapping its incisors warningly at the intruder. But Orihime is too surprised to move. She also doesn't know for SURE that this is a threat, but she can at least prepare for the worst. She makes a grab for her hairpins left on the nightstand.]
no subject
He doesn't know quite what the hairpins are, but he's not about to let the girl grab a potential weapon. His mouth opens wide and sprays out a burst of heavy, thick webbing, plastering over the nightstand in a thick, gooey layer. Pins trapped, he scuttles along the ceiling and the wall, arms and legs moving like a spider's and the extra leg-like appendages from his back spread out, stretching more webbing out between them as he casts it like a sticky, clinging net toward Mightyena.]
no subject
Grrr..
[Yelling at her to take it out for a walk is very tempting but for now she'll show patience- It isn't like it made her mess up her mixing. ...... ..... Yet.]
I love Kodachi omfg
Leave him alone!
[She hefts a lamp at Webstor's face, fully prepared to leap at Webstor herself the moment he comes into reach.]
May 10th - Daytime?
[So she's content to simply walk through the woods with her young Torchic, just admiring the new area. Most of the Pokemon she encountered are simply observed for a short while before she continues her stroll.]
no subject
... What a run. But Skeletor's orders were clear, he was supposed to round up all the Pokemon he could find. Especially ones that were already trained. So, as Karla rounds a corner on the path a tree, a WHOLE TREE, comes crashing down in her way from where it had been hurled by the gigantic red lobster man now standing behind her.]
Duuuh, alright, hand over your pokey-man or yer gonna get hurt.
[Clawful goes ahead and snaps his giant claws a couple of times to prove just how threatening he is.]
no subject
[At the demand and the snapping claws, Karla draws her sword, bringing it down to her side in her battle stance.]
My Pokemon? Why do you want it?
no subject
'Cause da boss wants all the pokey-mans he can get his hands on, so hand it over, or do I gotta take it from you?
no subject
[This creature would soon find out that Karla's sword is no laughing matter. There's a reason she's known as the Princess of Swords.]
[To protect her Pokemon, she pulls her Poke Ball, summoning the Torchic back inside it. Once she stows the ball in her belt, she grips her sword, ready to fight.]
no subject
[If this puny little human wanted a fight then she was in for it. Clawful comes charging forward toward Karla, each heavy footstep nearly shaking the ground, and raises his oversized right claw like a club to try to crush her in one blow.]
no subject
no subject
Even more when her sword slices across his shell, leaving a nice, deep scratch along it. He swings his other arm out toward her in a wide, crushing blow.]
no subject
[But she doesn't let that deter her. She'd already figured that this thing would be stronger than any human opponent she's ever faced. A part of her inside is intrigued by the challenge, the part of her that she's tried so hard to control.]
[Slowly, she advances on Clawful again, but decides to wait for its next attack.]
no subject
Unfortunately, Clawful isn't in this for the challenge. Mostly, he's here because Skeletor said jump and, frankly, he doesn't have the guts to not ask how high. Plus... he just kinda likes beating up on stuff smaller than him.
When Karla gets back up, he buries both his claws deep in the ground. After a second or two of rooting around he rips them free again with a pretty sizable rock in each claw, which he hurls her way when she begins to advance.]
no subject
no subject
And he's getting awfully annoyed at this nimble little girl sticking him with her stupid sword! That slice at his side actually hurt!]
D'aah, c'mere!
[Like the sea creature he seems to be emulating, his big claw lashes out to try to snatch Karla off the ground. To try and squeeze the fight out of her if he manages it.]
no subject
no subject
Haw! Let's see you run around now!
[But he still hasn't forgotten his mission and while Karla struggles against his grip, he'll bring his smaller claw up to pluck Torchic's pokeball from her belt.]
no subject
No!!
[With the claw around her waist, she can't even reach down to grab the Pokeball. Instead, she grips the hilt of her sword with both hands and attempts to stab the forearm holding her.]
no subject
[That one really hurt! Well, if all Karla wanted was to get out of the claw, she'll get her wish. Unfortunately, it'll be because Clawful is hoisting her above his head and hurling her down to the ground like a rag doll with just about all the significant force he can muster.
He'll also trying to bring one foot down to stomp on her sword arm to try and take her weapon out of the fight for good.]
[OOC: Should ask at this point if you wanted Clawful to manage to make off with her Torchic. Once again, she'll have the chance to get it back, if you so wish.]
no subject
[She slowly picks herself up, still dazed. As much as she wishes she could just keel over, the battle lust keeps her going. Plus she can't let this thing make off with her Pokemon. Speaking of which, she checks her belt. Thankfully, the Pokeball is still there. She takes a moment to regain some of her stamina, catching her breath.]
[OOC: Actually, I was hoping for her to hang on to her Torchic.]
no subject
Alright, no more playing around. With a roar he lumbers toward Karla. If she wants to keep getting up, he'll just smash her to bits under his weight!]
[OOC: Sure thing! Just wanted to make sure we were on the same page here.]
no subject
no subject
So he's already off balance when Karla swipes at his leg.]
Nnngyaaaah!
[And the combination of the two sends him pitching over, massive bulk crashing into the treeline and downing another one.]
no subject
I'll not hand over my Pokemon, so you might as well leave!
no subject
D'aaah, no way. The boss said he wants all the Pokemon here for himself.
[And Skeletor is way scarier than this girl, no matter how nasty that sword is. He is definitely starting to question whether or not the pipsqueak is worth the trouble though.]
no subject
Well, he can catch his own! He doesn't need to steal Pokemon from other people!
And who is this "boss," anyway?
no subject
[Wait, who's the boss? This girl didn't even know. Clawful "haws" again.]
If you don't know who Skeletor is, yer gonna find out the hard way.
[Everybody had to know the name Skeletor, right? There was no way she didn't hear of him.]
no subject
That's only because the trainers made them strong. So your boss can train his own.
Besides, I haven't bothered to train mine anyway, so he would be sorely disappointed.
May 8th - Morning
[What on earth was she going to do with a Gogoat, though? At least she didn't have to worry about taking out the trash; Gogoat ate everything.]
[Her strategy had begun fairly simple -- catch Pokemon until she had one of every type. Now? She's not so sure. The point of the event was to accumulate as many points as possible, and that meant she needed more Pokemon. If she had one of every type, then her chances of capturing a bigger range of Pokemon were much better. Now she had a Gogoat, and she was certain there were very few Pokemon she couldn't catch with one so strong.]
[So here she sits at a Pokemon Center, feeding her Pokemon their favorite dishes while she goes over her lists. She'd still like to catch one of every type, so that means she needs Dark, Electric, Fairy, Fighting, Ghost, Ice, Normal, Poison, Rock, and Water. Braixen would eventually grow to take on the Psychic type, according to her notes, and Drilbur would be Steel once it evolved. She sips from her tea, uncrossing her legs to recross them in another direction. Now that she has her list, it's just about time to be off.]
no subject
what on Earth could that ungodly stench be?
Whatever it is, it's certainly turning some heads as trainers and staff alike look up to sniff the air and grimace. It's getting worse too as the source comes ever closer.
And then goes one step further and crashes in through the front door. People shriek and jolt up, chairs clattering over as the tall, black and white furred creature leaps into the Pokemon center. The respirator equipment on his chest wheezes as he lifts his arms and proudly proclaims.]
I AM STINKOR! And I have the power of stink!
[A power that he eagerly demonstrates by firing off a blast of foul-smelling gas into the air. And what a stink it is. Seriously, if there was stink royalty this would be emperor stink.]
no subject
That's hardly something to be proud of!
[It's obvious that he's come to the Center to cause trouble. Look at the pandemonium he inspired! Cherise spins her wand into her fingers and uses it to fling an upset chair right at the villain.]
Chaise volante!
no subject
Stinkor has come for your Pokemon! Give them to Stinkor!
[He raises his hands and lets out a concentrated blast of choking, burning stench right in Cherise's direction.]
no subject
[Cherise coughs as if her lungs are trying to escape her body, her eyes watering from the nauseating stench.]
May 10th - Any time
no subject
Now, Skeletor's Pokemon harvesting methods were working quite well in other areas but in this particular instance... bringing this one under his control might require something different. And even Skeletor recognized when the gentle touch of persuasion was needed over simple power.
So, when he comes across Mewtwo meditating he stands at the edge of the clearing, an inky spot of blackness in the trees, and patiently waits for the psychic to acknowledge his presence. He's sure he hasn't gone undetected.]
no subject
What do you want?
no subject
Mere curiosity, I assure you. [With his presence acknowledged, Skeletor walks slowly into the clearing, hood down over his face.] With so many fascinating creatures about, one can't very well help wanting to meet the strongest of them all, can one?
no subject
That was the intent behind my creation, at least. There are few that can match my power, and I can count those that surpass me on one hand.
[Arceus, Giratina, Darkrai. ...Perhaps more, but those are the only ones he'll admit to. And then he'll just blame it on type match-ups.]
no subject
All these thoughts didn't cross his mind as he happily walked around with the Hoppip he named Sakura-chan. The other two were safely tucked away in their little pokeball homes as he knelt down to take care of the other one.]
no subject
It irked him to no end to be sent out on this little quest to gather up the creatures but Skeletor's power was not to be contested. Not yet anyway. That doesn't mean he's interested in actually interacting with any of them more than necessary.
As such, he doesn't bother confronting Fai when he detects him or his Hoppip. The ground simply erupts around them, vines whipping out to attempt to snag little Sakura-chan and its trainer.]

May 11th
[So it's into the Pokemon gate that Captain Hammer ventures, a Pokeball hooked to his belt, whistling as he places a ballcap on his head. Yup, just another Pokemon trainer with a nice ripe Pokeball on his belt. Let's see those goons try to take THIS.]
no subject
[A great big furred monster man soon drops into his path, carrying a whip, and this one isn't alone either. He's surrounded by a small group of Rhyhorn, one Kangaskhan and a pair of a Nidoking and Nidoqueen. Beastman snarls at Hammer, the Pokemon around him growling as well.]
Alright, little man. Hand over the ball before you get trampled.
no subject
All right, all right. No need to get huffy. It's all yours.
[So come and get it.]
