[Voice] Say Goodbye, Sonico

 *There is a soft intake of breath before Sonico begins. Her thoughts are muddled and there's an edge to her voice - this is clearly not a rehearsed message, but the comments of a woman very recently hit with some bad news*

I just... I wish. I just wish there was some way, some how, just some small something.. that would mean that people could say goodbye. Disappearing. Vanishing into thin air. It just... I'm sorry, but it isn't fair.

*There's a pause, then a breath, but clearly she decides not to say anything further, and clicks off the feed*

[Dante doesn't really care about Sonico's level of dress, so long as she's comfortable and covered. He steps in with a shrug.]

I figured we could eat it, so wherever you want to do that.

[He pauses as he finds the words to say.]

Look, I know what it's like to lose those close to you. You don't need to be alone right now. So, here I am.

Oh. Eating it is a good idea. Let's head through to a soft seat.

*So she leads the way through and is about to drop herself onto the sofa when he says that last bit. Instead, she looks at him with her eyes brimmung with gratitude*

[He sets the food and drinks down on the table in front of the sofa before making sure she's looking him in the eye.]

I may not offer the same brand of comfort, but you're not alone in this. I've got your back.

*It's harder to meet his eyes for so long when she is so worried that she's going to look too sad. But he seems to want her to, so she does. Sonico manages a small, thin smile, and nods her head in appreciation*

*It's all she can think to do, to thank him for visiting and for caring. Finally, she does allow herself to sink back on the sofa, and grabs a cushion to hug*

[Dante grabs a piece of pizza before flopping onto the sofa next to her, one arm around her shoulders, hand resting on her head. He doesn't say anything. Just sits there in silence with her until she's ready to break the silence.]

*For a moment or two, Sonico is happy to sit with him like that, enjoying the comfort and closeness. She closes her eyes as she leans against him, until eventually she sits forward just enough to pick up her own piece of pizza. She nibbles on it for a bit before taking bigger bites, clearly hungry*

This is good pizza.

[Dante just grins, ruffling Sonico's hair as best he can without disturbing the headphones.]

Yup. It's from the best place in Genessia. Believe me, I've tried 'em all.

*Sonico smiles a bit more at that, then happily goes about eating the rest of the slice. She licks her lips when she's done, and straight away reaches for another slice*

Mmm! Good work finding this. And thank you so much for bringing it - I think I was hungrier than I realised...

Don't mention it. I kinda figured you could use a break from cooking for yourself or something.

Just leave some for me. [Dante will be grabbing another piece as well.]

*She smiles at them though and nudges into him slightly at his comment*
