[There are a few clicks and some fidgeting, but finally the phone is being held upright, and a girl with bunny ears and a pretty dubious expression].

Ok, good. Have this working. So that's ONE thing that's going right. Kind of.

So it seems pretty clear that my "world" has decided to pull a Dorothy on me and throw me here, wherever here is, I guess. I'm a kid, I don't have time to listen to holograms when I can just complain about my situation and why it sucks. What can I say, my attention span is my undoing.

But you guys DO have the internet, and assuming its not full of weirdos and perverts like in my world, anybody have any directions to where a kid can grab some grub, and I guess, long term goals, a place that isn't this cave?

Good plan. I mean, I figure even if you GET a job right away, you won't get a nice place to live for awhile.

Ok, I am definitely into this place. How it hasn't been shaken down yet is a mystery! I mean, politicians are the first to take stuff out of the mouth of people who don't work where I'm from, unless you're an expert at cheating the system.

[Which Louise could only aspire to do for now].

True, you wouldn't get anything like a four or five stars right away unless you get a job worth that much.

I guess it depends on where one can start I suppose.

How did you deal when you first got here?

More than likely.

[She paused for a moment, it was a while back so she had to really think about it.]

I adapted quickly. Opened up my inn, which I knew was something I was good at. Though I didn't do that right away, I don't believe. But it's been nearly three years since I arrived.

You have a whole INN? Tell me you don't undercharge people, that's awesome!

[And like that, new idea for business opportunities pop into Louise's head].

I own two inns. In the future, I plan on expanding more.

How did you manage to own them in the first place though? How'd you get the finances?
I'm asking for someone back home.

Working for the most part. I've found that you need to work at least one month before you can apply for a business. At least here anyway.

And after a month you just get one? Dad said getting the restaurant took a long time, and he still fudges by on the rent. What kind of weird communist place is this?

[Not that she cared if it was that way TOO much. In the end, it would still serve a function for her too].

Yes, a lot of people were able to. I think at once point even someone as young as...well I don't know how old they were but they did look like a child ended up with their own business.

So tell me, what kind of stuff do people need in a world like this?

Well of course money so work and a place to live are the two most important obviously.

Yeah, and you start by giving people those place that are kinda ratty, right?

What sort of jibs are available?

There are those apartments, but I always offer my inn for free for the first two weeks for new arrivals. It usually doesn't take as long to find everything.

As for jobs, there are just too many kinds to even list.

Now, suppose I was one of those kids used to manual labor. What would I look for?

Depends on what you would want to do. no one would force anyone into a job they didn't want/ So if you have skills in certain areas you can work in that kind of place.

I worked in a restaurant. My options seem a little limited.

Perhaps going to school might help, more so if you have a career in mind.

How long do you think I'm going to be around here?

We never know exactly. Some might only stay a few months, others a few years.

I might even forget how to flip burgers in that time! Well, here's hoping, right?

Plus not sure how being able to work toward a job you want to do is messed up? Unless thinking it's like child labour?

I didn't mean the work part. I'm interested in that. I meant the part where you're here for three years.

I mean, work is fun, but three years without my parents or siblings is a little hard to swallow.
