[Cut-Scene Thing] Backdated to May 2nd
Poor Froakie.. It took such a beating. But it wasn't said beating that caused Satsuki Kiryuin to give up on the whole 'pokemon trainiing' scenario. Since she had been provided the tools to start, she decided to at least give it a try to see what all the fuss was about.
In the end she wasn't impressed, and once evening had fallen she had returned to Genessia City and, presumably, home.
However along the way she noticed a number of stray cats or other pets had been running past her. The source wasn't of her concern, at least not until she had come across an ally in which a larger, yelping dog darted out, followed by a pokemon that she had never seen before that was in a tired, slouched stance.
Pawniard looked like she had somehow escaped the new archway- or perhaps she had been here all along? Either way she clearly had been having a rough day, considerably beaten up and tired. "..." Her eyes met with Satsuki's. She looked surprised a moment, then raised her bladed 'hands' in preparation to battle.
"I don't have anything for a fight, my beast has already been exhausted for the day." Satsuki replied, then took a step forward to continue along... Only to be blocked as the pawniard leaped back in her way. She swung her arms about, still determined to fight.
With a deep frown, Satsuki narrowed her eyes at the little monster as she grasped the hilt of her sword. The blade withdrawn then held in front of her she warned, "You do understand that, in your condition, you do not stand a chance against me?"
The bladed pokemon looked both terrified and yet also determined. Their gazes with one another remain locked in silence for some minutes- Satsuki had lost the track of time for a moment but during that lost time she came to an understanding. She could somehow tell that Pawniard desperately wanted to become stronger, that there is someone that she needed to defeat at all costs.
".. I see." Satsuki finally murmured. She twirled her blade and returned it to her sheath with a small smile. "Join me, and I will guide you to obtaining the strength that you seek. I look forward to seeing what you have to offer."

Since the young lady had no intention of repeating herself, she moved the subject along with a hand gesture toward the creature, "I am, indeed, a human. And what kind of.. Life form are you, Mewtwo?"
no subject
"I thought it rather obvious from my appearance. I am a pokemon."
no subject
"You seem rather advanced. What is your goal?"
no subject
His goal? He didn't really have one at this point. His children were strong enough to fend for themselves, and were beyond Team Rocket's reach, so he had nothing of any real import that needed to be done.
"I suppose bringing out my own full potential is as good as any goal for the moment. What of you? What do you hope to accomplish?"
no subject
It would seem there's little choice but to accept it, for the time being. Satsuki gestured to the Pawniard. "At the moment it is to see this one's goal achieved, then give it a greater purpose."
"That said, your own is admirable." Not to mention Mewtwo did not look like he could be easily steamrolled. He'd make a powerful ally. "You shall join me as well, then."
no subject
"No, I will not. I may have been formed and given life by humans, but I am under no obligation to serve them, let alone one like yourself. If you want my power, you will have to best me in battle first."
no subject
"It is true that you are under no obligation, but you appear to be rational enough. You would be hard pressed to find a greater trainer, MewTwo." Satsuki replied. Even if she was a mere beginner now, there was little doubt in her mind she could excel at the task.
"The path to your goal is standing right before you. But I can understand that you seek proof. Since my companions are in no condition to fight.." Satsuki turned a touch to the side, which made her heel clack. With hand opposite of her swords side then tightly gripped the handle of her sword, with an intense but brief breeze following that whipped her hair as if upping the dramatics. "I shall do so myself."
no subject
"Your arrogance is great, I will give you that. However, ambition and power are not enough to call yourself a great trainer."
He took up his stance, tail flicking behind him and leaving a crack in the pavement where it came to rest. "But if you are truly so blind as to attack me, I will gladly make you aware of the difference between us."
no subject
In her mind there simply was no choice in the matter.
Satsuki closed her eyes for a moment, and the power within her steadily rose as she spoke, "Is that so? It would appear you've witnessed numerous failures before. But the truth is that when it comes to humans, there are always exceptions."
When Satsuki opened her eyes, she pushed off her closer foot and, with a substantial amount of speed, closed the distance between the two- At least that was how it appeared to her. Once close enough the young lady swung her still sheathed weapon horizontally toward the pokemon's head.
no subject
"I warned you, but you refused to listen. Now, you will pay the price."
He kept his arm extended as the barrier shrunk and formed a tight ball in the palm of his hand before shooting out at Satsuki's midsection with alarming speed.
no subject
"What?" Satsuki could accept her strike to do little damage, but for it to impact some sort of shield was completely unexpected- not to mention it provided a reason for her to resort to unsheathing her blade after all.
Unfortunatly in the process of doing so is being forced to face with MewTwo's attack far too soon and the psychic energy connects which sent her flying backward. A parked car at the curb breaks her fall which she impacted hard enough to make it rock, the door to dent and window to shatter.
For a moment she remained within the dent, head tilted downward with her eyes, clenched shut in pain, hidden behind her bangs. ".. Nngh."
no subject
"This fight is over."
no subject
"Oh? Are you withdrawing?" Satsuki brushed her fingertips over the azure links of her uniform and once snapped into place, she was briefly hidden by a magnificent burst of light.
Once it cleared there stood the raven-haired council president, but now clad in Junketsu's activated form with her sword now unsheathed. "We have merely passed the introductory stage! But if you are certain.. I would gladly accept."
no subject
"Change your appearance all you like, it will do little to close the gap in power between us."
His eyes glowed brilliantly, sparks flying from them as the car behind her spontaneously exploded.
no subject
"Stand aside." Uttered to the shaken up Pawniard, rather intimidated by Mewtwo's display of power, but willing to take part anyway. She hesitantly shuffled away from sight, and it was then Satsuki counter-attacked.
The wings upon her shoulders trembled, then blue energy that erupts sent Satsuki bursting forward at a speed beyond a normal humans. Her black blade is drawn back- she anticipated MewTwo's shield still being present and so slashed her weapon down upon it as if clashing with another blade.
The impact of such force would cause the air to whip about them violently, as well as released sonic-boom like energy that spiderwebs the ground around them several meters.

As she charged, he shifted backward just enough to be out of the downward arc of the blade and brought down his shield. Yes, the energy with which the blade came down formed a few cuts on his body without the shield to protect him, however, it put her in a rather compromising position immediately after the attack.
A ball of black energy formed in his hand, growing with every instant that passed, and he was shoving it directly in Satsuki's face.
"Your Pawniard would have had more of an advantage against me. I can Detect your attacks, but pokemon have mental shields that can at least thwart multiple attempts. Shields that humans lack."
no subject
A 'tch' passed her lips just moments before MewTwo's counter attack that launched her back yet again right after contact. The pain of the psychic energy was barely dulled, which made her mind reel; especially once she slammed against a traffic light pole which was brought down easily from the impact.
Satsuki managed to get her feet to hit the ground then come to a sliding brake. "Is that so.." So in a sense, he's like Houka, is he?
The style she decidedto execute afterward wasn't one she was particularly fond of.
She'd adopt being wreckless.
"So.. you believe I lack that ability?" The ground seems to shake as energy builds up within her, then Satsuki burst forward yet again, even faster than before. But this time instead of striking right away, she circled about him and crosses paths, speed steadily increased to a blurr.
no subject
"Whether you have the ability is not my concern. My power is far beyond your league. Trainers spend their entire lives training and earning the respect of Pokemon and peer alike, and even then, they not always hold the power to tame legends. I am beyond even those legends in terms of power. Why should I obey one who has not earned the right to call themselves a trainer?"

The inevitable collision was timed to strike her from behind moments before her next attack, and that time rather than meet the psychic shield dead on, she brushed past with a whirlwind-like strike.
She came to an abrupt halt several meters ahead of her foe in a slight crouch (with marks of the resulting attack rather large red splotches upon her back), two seconds pass, then objects along her path such as trees and street lamps gradually seperated then fell to the ground due to multiple clean slices.
"That answer to that is rather obvious. Once I defeat you, I would become a legend."
