2nd Riff: Drama for the Media [Video]

[It's been some time since Pizzazz had landed a talent agency to represent her, and while she worked with various other bands and musicians, she quickly earned her reputation of being picky, brutally honest, and mostly hellish to work with. But that's nothing new. What is new is a particular message she posted on a social network site, Chirp, where she explains how awful Cassian is:

So now she's giving an explanation of what's wrong via video.]

Let me set the record straight: this guy is not worth the crud from the bottom of my boots.

[Now everyone can see why she's brutally honest...]

When someone says "leave me alone" and tries to walk away from the situation, maybe you should let them go. I've told my agency about him, and they're considering filing a lawsuit for harassment.

[Switches arms because holding up a camera still in one spot is difficult.]

For once, I wasn't even trying to start trouble. That's what I get. [She shrugs and waves a hand dismissively, clearly just agitated thinking about the mess.] Well, forget it! I'm not putting up with creeps like him on the first try! No wonder his boyfriend is handmade.

[Not good for his reputation with her. Now the camera comes in to get a view of her colorful head while she crosses her arms.]

Anyway, I'm looking for people to start a band with. Anyone who thinks they have the skills can contact me. But be warned, this is serious business, and the band comes first. If you've got a young family to look after, don't bother. I'm also a lead singer, so don't come thinking you're gonna shine that way.

[The video ends on that note.]

[Dante was playing around with Nevan in his shop, but when this happens, he just stops and smirks.]

Man this ought to be good. But I gotta say you caught me at a bad time. I'm all out of popcorn.

[There's a beat as Dante just glances over at the stack of pizza boxes he's got off screen before shaking his head.]

...Not what I was going for but, gotta say you've at least got a decent sense of taste.

[He's just going to lean back in his chair, idly fingering the strings on Nevan. He's more than content to watch the drama unfold from the sidelines.]

When it comes to entertainment, you've gotta know how to eat right.

[Seeing him pluck the strings of his really...intricate guitar has her curious. She nudges her chin at it.]

You any good with that?

[He shrugs, casually strumming the first 40 seconds or so of Roundabout.]

I dabble.

[As she listens, Pizzazz not only uses her ears, but also looks at his fingers. They're pretty nimble as they switch between chords. There is a nod of approval.]

Not bad. What kind of genre do you dabble into?

[He takes a moment to take a drink from a bottle of whiskey on his desk before answering.]

I'm something of a classic rock buff, but can do anything from Simon and Garfunkle to Mastadon.

Impressive. Not many people can wrap their head around the good stuff. The world, and definitely my agency, needs more guitarists like us.

You interested in doing a few shows? [Just cuts right to the chase because she knows talent when she sees and hears it.]

[Dante was actually ready to explain the reference, but just smirks when that's not needed. He will muse on the implications at a later date.]

That depends on when and where mainly. Gotta hold down my main gig, after all.

[There's a smirk as he anticipates her asking what his job is. This should be good.]

Sue him. I'm sure you and I aren't the only victims. He was lying to me just so he could keep me around as a fluffer for him and his robot lover. [ is that the worst possible way to describe it? No, but it's close. ]

A fluffer? What, did he use you as a beard or something?

[How's that guy in office...]

A fluffer is someone who emotionally prepares to have sex when you have reservations in you're mind that are preventing you from getting it up.

[ usually a term used for porn stars, but it's appropriate in this situation. She hasn't decided she wants to explain the details and leave Cassian's business out in the open, but she's not against sharing that much. ]

I wasn't aware until recently.

[...she wishes she hadn't learned that just now.]

EW GROSS!! [Pizzazz looks all kinds of disgusted.] Who let this sicko into office?!

The only reason he won is because the other guys dropped out.

I don't think they should let people do that, honestly. Post-pone it until someone else shows up, winning my default doesn't represent anyone's will.

Agreed. That probably the fairest solution, even though most times not showing up means the other person wins. No one thinks outside the box, though.

Don't want to. Cassian's a liar, and I'm not wrong to use the word "fluffer." If he hasn't told you what that means, then he's lying to you too. Get out of my face before I send yours to Cassian in a box.

Cassian had in fact not known of the Chirp, he has better things to do with his internet time than following celebrities ~~such as research vibration upgrades for his handmade boyfriend~~.

[Shrugs] Played a gig at the Olympics, and he got on my case saying that I wasn't authorized to even play there! Like, okay, it's fine to be suspicious, but I've got other places to be. If you don't believe me, let me go, check the paperwork, THEN if things aren't in the clear, get on my case with a lawyer! Not get in my space!

[She's well versed in this, probably...]

[He pauses before squinting a little at the feed.]

If you supposedly weren't authorized, then how were you able to perform? Sounds fishy to me. [Maybe it is, maybe it isn't, at this point Gale's getting some twisted enjoyment out of people getting on Cassian's case.] At this point, I'm wonderin' if everyone wishes his Guardian competition didn't get sent home before last election.

That's pretty convenient timing, there. [Elections seem like a crazy time to be around. Or not.]

Let's make a few things clear, shall we? You are slandering us without giving full or correct information.

One, during the Olympic Games you decided to perform without asking the organization for permission or consulting the schedule. You did for selfish reasons such as promoting your own music. And then you got angry when told that, because it was something unplanned, you had to leave.

Two, being born and being organic doesn't make you special in any way. If anything, it's full of disadvantages.

Three, jealousy truly is a terrible look on you, lady. Don't worry, my lawyer will be contacting yours soon.

First, it's not misinformation. Second, look at where you are right now. You came onto my video, posted rude comments, and expect me to be okay with it. When was the last time I came onto one of your posts and did the same?

The answer is never.

You did something illegal and now you are trying to get away with it playing the injured party. Not only that but fake accusations like yours hurt real victims who do suffer harassment. But I suppose you hadn't considered nor cared about that sort of things.

I'm not going to just sit back and watch as you spread lies about what happened. I was involved in the organization of the games and this is considered slander.

If Judge Judy doesn't award harassment suits that are filed usually, I very much doubt an actual court will unless they threatened your life or something.

Lawyers just want your money, honey.

Good thing she isn't here. We would've known if she were by now. And the larger picture is: no one should have to put up with harassment, especially from people in authority. If I don't make a stand, who will.

Lawyers always want money. They're the lawyers of my talent agency, though, so it really isn't my money.

Considering the court is very much the setup to a Judge Judy type situation, I wish you good luck in getting this through without everyone being publicly humiliated in some way.

Through word of warning. Agency or not, pull shit like that and lose the game, it comes to bite you majorly in the ass by them taking a lot out of your paycheck.

Though, harassment actually only applies if they continued to contact you after the first time it happened. If it didn't the case would actually be a lot harder to determine if it was actually harassment. Though in all honesty, you didn't need to put up this whole situation until it's actually sorted because if you lose, it makes you look like the worst person and that could, in fact, ruin what celeb you do have.
