[Arrival] Cry-baby Exorcist (Action)
Until the day I die...
[That promise she was made to make swirled in her mind as Eleanor emerged from the creepy cave with the contents of this mock gift she woke up with. Her memory was hazy and vision clouded from sleepiness.]
Where ever could this be? This... This doesn't look like Westgand... Just where am I?
[She concentrated for a moment, like she was calling on a inner being...]
Laphicet, can you hear me?
...
Laphicet? ... Oh gods, please no! Don't tell me I lost Laphicet...
[It didn't take long for signs of panic begin to set in. As if her previous situation wasn't bad enough, now it's gotten to deadly proportions. She hugged herself as she paced around the clearing in front of the Bay.
Of course, in the midst of her worries, her thoughts begin to spill out into the open.]
This can't be happening, I can't believe this is happening. I lost Laphicet and without me to protect him, he'll turn into a daemon and then Velvet...
[Velvet...and her Daemon hand... And the promise to kill her if Eleanor failed.]
Not only that, but Lord Artorius... My mission... My last hope to redeem myself... This can't be the end of everything I worked so hard for!
But where do I even start? What kind of Praetor Exorcist loses her malak not once, but twice? I can't just walk up to any old body and just ask, can I? That will shake the faith in the Abbey to the foundation...
[Feel free to eavesdrop on everything she just spouted.]

Miss? Are you quite alright?
[Not that she seems alright, but hey, he should at least ask right?]
no subject
I'm quite all right. Thank you for your concern, citizen, but you needn't place any worry on me. All that matters is if you are well. I'll listen to any concerns you may have. It's the least I can do as an Exorcist.
[Though she may be acting tough now, those beads of years in her eyes very much say something else.]
no subject
I think my concern is focused on you right now.
You seem troubled. Is there anything I can do to help you?
[Because those tears are very hard to miss, and given that they were near the Bay, he could put two and two together here.]
no subject
But first she'll wipe off the tears in her sleeve.]
Really, I'm fine. However, my, uh, ship got diverted in a storm and I need to get back my bearings.
no subject
Seems we're in a similar situation. I've been separated from my crew, and we're... quite a ways apart.
[He briefly glances towards the Bay.]
You woke up there, right?
no subject
Y-Yeah. Do you know what's with those... things in there?
no subject
[He shakes his head.]
There isn't much further insight I can offer you that the Schnee girl's projection already explained. I haven't been here terribly long.
[Or at least... he's assuming she already listened to the speech from the hologram. Doing that is kind of common sense.]
I overheard you saying you've lost something. Perhaps I might at least be able to help you locate it?
no subject
I did lose someone... A little boy named Laphicet. He has short, blonde hair with a cowlick, and wears a white robe. He often carries around a navigation compass, like the ones used on ships.
[Asks a tiny little girl, all of three feet tall. With blue hair. And pointed ears.]
I realize it's a bit of a shock, ending up here like this, but you can rest a little easier on some of that. From what everyone's said, you'll go back to the moment you left your world when you leave here. From the sound of it, you had a lot on your plate back home - maybe you should use this like a sort of vacation? Or an opportunity to train yourself further?
Re: [Video]
Are you the one projecting yourself through this? Are you a malak?
no subject
[A gentle smile.]
If you don't mind me asking... what exactly is a malak?
no subject
[But what shocked her the most was this person doesn't know what a malak is. Who in the world does not know what a malak is?]
You're not serious, are you? You really haven't heard of the Malakhim?
no subject
no subject
[It was only believable to appear in an Earthpulse. But a entirely different world full of people from other worlds? This is something out of the fairy tales.]
no subject
no subject
Likewise, have you heard of The Abbey? The Exorcists? You already said you never heard of the Malakhim. How about Midgand? The Shepard, Lord Artorius, or the Empyreans? Or even daemonblight?
no subject
[She smiles sympathetically. It's a lot to take on board, and she remembers exactly what it feels like.]
This place is called Genessia. It's a collection of five cities - Nova, Everglade, Fayren, Attleton, and Genessia itself. They're all encased within dome shields of some sort, and outside those domes are creatures that look like shades. They have the power to drain away emotions. When I arrived, the domes had been breached - for what I understand to be the second or third time in anyone's memory. If you're an exorcist of some stripe, your talents might prove very valuable indeed if they're ever broken again. Until then, I'm afraid you're going to need to find work.
no subject
As an exorcist, it's my job to slay daemons where ever they may be and protect the general public to the best of my abilities... But I'm afraid that without a tethered malak, I won't be as strong as I could be.
With that said, where might I go to find work?

If you'd like to learn more about sewing, though, I can teach you.
no subject
Of course, I would want to do what I can to protect people as well.

My name is Eleanor, by the way. Eleanor Hume.

So making her way over, she figured to be polite.]
Are you okay, miss?
no subject
Y-yes, I'm quite all right. Your concern is appreciated, citizen. Is there anything I can do for you, though? It's my job as an Exorcist to help the people where ever I can, after all.
no subject
[She stood there happily for the moment, she figured might as well get to know someone.]
no subject
Yes, I suppose I am. It looks like I might be here awhile, also.
no subject
[That she knew of anyway.]
You are looking at a couple of months or so at least.
no subject
[Lord Artorius is the only one who believes in her now. If she loses his faith... It was unthinkable.]
no subject
I understand, but I have heard from people that it is believed that time doesn't go forward while we are here if that helps.
no subject
Is there evidence backing up all these claims?
no subject
So you would have to ask those people.
no subject
Who else may I speak to about this?
no subject
As for who... [She paused, she was trying to remember who she heard it from.] I guess you need to find those who have been here for a while. Though finding that out might not necessarily be easy.
no subject
What about this? I've had people talk to me through this device. Can I use it to find others somehow?
no subject
[She knows she doesn't reply till she is at least out of work or just before she goes into work.]
[Action]
And so Koishi would follow this new person for a short ways, observing her, her abilities hiding her from perception. At least until-
"Hey Miss?" And then there was someone (or something) tugging at her sleeve. "Heeey. Can you see me yet? Can you hear me?"
Koishi was tiny. And floating! With a splash of mint-alabaster hair under a hat and eyes that literally glowed with an inner light. A blue sphere floated in front of her chest, cords looping around her body from it and connecting at her ankles.
"Are you lost?"
Re: [Action]
She nearly chokes on her own gasp.]
Buwaah?! [And a quick recovery. She wasn't expecting to see this. What is that orb?]
Oh, uh... Sorry about that. I'm fine, though. But, are you by any chance... A malak?
no subject
"I don't know what a Malak is. Is it your word for youkai? Because that's what I am. A spirit-monster-thing..." A pout. "There isn't a good word for it in this language..." The pout didn't last long though.
"But that's what I am! A satori youkai! But you don't have to be scared of me. I can't read minds anymore." She had been gradually drifting forward this whole time, now somewhat in Elanor's space. "My name is Koishi Komeiji. It's nice to meet you. Your head shines beautifully so I had to come say hi."
Koishi, it's impolite to speak in riddles to people you've just met.
no subject
[Well, at least used to. But what if it's a lie?]
Umm...I never heard of youkai before. But you don't look like any monster to me. And why do you think my head is shiny? Do you mean my hair? I do try to keep it maintained...
So... Koishi, is it? I'm Eleanor.
no subject
Wow she was REALLY in Elanor's bubble now.
"Well some monsters don't look like monsters. They're usually the most dangerous. And Satori are carnivorous mountain monsters but sis and I aren't dangerous. We don't hunt humans." Anymore.
A pause. "Also I'm not good with names. So I'm going to call you 'miss' for now."
no subject
[This "youkai" seems serious. Not "Magilou serious" but just serious in her own way. She quickly tries to push it forward to avoid any brains from frying.]
I don't think "miss" would work. I don't think I would be the only woman here, so it would get confusing. Why is "Eleanor" hard to remember?
no subject
Koishi just tilted her head a little at the objection though. "Umm... I can't remember names and faces very well though. Or names with faces. My head is slantways and cracked down the middle. So I have to call you something. And 'Miss' is polite."
no subject
...I suppose 'Miss' will be okay... It's better than the other one, at least.
[She hopes "Cry-baby Exorcist" stays in Midgand.]
