[dogs. dogs everywhere. Genessia, Attleton, Nova City, Everglades, Fayren, wherever there is a pound or animal shelter, they've been sprung from them and are now baying through the streets or sleeping on doorsteps or rummaging through trash.

Through Genessia proper though, there is a pack of them, charging through the streets, baying excitedly. In the middle of them is one shirtless hat less pirate, rolling along on a skateboard despite the fact that his hands are cuffed behind him. At intervals, he'll throw back his head and howl as he goes along]

[a little later, he's sitting against a wall, breathless and excited, comm propped between his knees as he grins wildly at the camera though it, dogs sleeping all around him and a pooped pug on his head, snoring upside down with her legs twitching in the air]

Yo! I'm here. I'm back. Anyone got food? Or a key? Marco? Namur? Adela? [his grin widens] Taisa? Come find me. I'm free.

[Locked to whoever is in Namur's apartment]

[at some point, at Namur's apartment, this same certain pirate may be seen sleeping against the outside of the window, as if he was trying to jimmy it open with his teeth and conked out during the attempt]

[Those catlike ears arch backwards once he hears all the howling and barking coming closer. Nao grips his sword a little tighter around its sheath when a pack of wild dogs suddenly emerge upon the scene. He doubts this is a normal occurrence judging from the locals shock and awe. Nevertheless, the dogs look harmless at best besides a few unfriendly hounds but what caught Nao's attention is the handcuffed man with the strange hat.]

Is this some kind of parade? [This seems more like a disturbance.] Quite the entrance.

[This feline is sarcastic.]

[he comes to a stop. Some of the dogs go on without him while others mill around him barking excitedly, tails wagging]

Damn right it is. [he glances at the sword, then back up at the ears guy] Got a problem with it?

[Somewhere in a little apartment above a bar in Nova, a vague disturbance is felt in the Force. Just enough to make Namur snort and turn over in his sleep, possibly disturbing the cat.]

[sensing the sensing of vague disturbance in the force, Ace smiles a bit in his sleep, drool seeping under the sill as his snot bubble gently brushes the glass as he breathes]

[Lord of the Sea what an annoying noise. Gross enough to wake the dead, that. There's soft cursing as Namur regains consciousness. What the hell? There better not be some weirdass invasion of slime monsters or something going on, he's got enough to deal with in the aftermath of the shitty turf wars in Everglade. Nevertheless, he sits up, cracks his neck from side to side, then hops out of his hammock to pull open the blinds- thus blinding himself in the mid afternoon sun, oops. Now the cursing is much louder, and right next to the window.]

Oh? This is new. Usually I have to hunt you down. I could get used to this you-finding-me-thing, yoi.

[what asshole is making so much noise when he's trying to sleep? Ace cracks open a bloodshot eye and sees the fishman flailing on the floor]

Namur!

[is all he gets out because speaking also means he's not hanging on so down he goes into a particularly loud and conveniently placed pile of trashcans]

MARCO! [the dogs bark excitedly. It's so loud Ace has to talk over them] HEY, MAN! YOU LOOK GREAT! GOT ANY STEAK ON YOU?

[Too much time around vampires has left Namur with way too much pent up sun drama, clearly. It doesn't take him long to blink it out of his system, though, and soon he's opening the window, poking his head out, and sniffing around.]

Ace?

[He angles his head down.]

The hell y' doin' in the dumpsters, dumbass? Got some fresh fish in the fridge 'less y' ate 'em already!

Fish? [all the disappoint. So disappoint he doesn't even bother to get up from were he's lying flat on his back with a small pack of dogs sniffling around him]

Come on, bro! I just got out! You don't have any real meat in there? [how could you be so unprepared?]

[On the one hand, look at his cute baby brother so happy to see him, AWWWWWWWWW.]

No. And don't bring the mangy mutts near me. Grell is still mad that I have Batdog with me at all times.

[because for one thing, hdu! They are not mangey! For another thing they are his crew now and for a third this is revenge for not having any steak

[A while later, a purple cat was on the other side of the glass window staring at the young pirate snoring. Tilting her head curiously, she opened the window which probably hit his head back or somethig. She thought it was a great idea.]

[Nao all but glares at this vagabond. That black tail of his flicks in annoyance.]

I just might depending on what you say next. [~~Please no kitty-kat jokes! Please, please--~~] I hope you're going to return these mutts home.

[it does knock his head back and he takes a piece of the sill with him with his teeth, he falls a short distance until his chin catches on the edge of the window and he snores on, blood trailing from his nose where the window hit]

They're shelter dogs, dude! That's not really a home, that's just the place where they stay. [he would fold his arms if they weren't currently handcuffed and he's annoyed at this.]

[Uh oh, and oh my. The cat looks quite concern there and impress by that massive jaw. Note to self, avoid bites from this guy. But she does sees that nose bleeding and grabs some tissues. What she does next? She stuffs his nose with Kleenex. That should stop the bleeding.

Then... there's the snoring. She better stop that too so Namur can get some sleep. So she adds duct tape to his mouth. THERE. That should do it! There's no mischievous grin, nope.]

As the word would state, at least these dogs have a roof over their heads even if they lack a permanent home. [He places his hands upon his hips and glares even more. That tail of his is still flickering about in agitation.] Return these strays at once---

[Pause.]

Why are you in binds?

No. [he would give him a rude gesture but he couldn't and it was getting annoying. He cracks his neck from side to side]

What's it to you?

[well with all that he can't really breathe. He's fine then panics a bit, struggling in his sleep before finally snorting out the tissues and waking up, blinking blearily. He pulls himself up further with his chin, bare feet scrabbing against the wall until he gets his chest and then his stomach on the sill were he's hanging half inside and outside the apartment.

Something is wrong here but he's so groggy he can't figure out what]

Curiosity. [The ninneko answers with something akin to a smirk upon his lips.]

Why so tight-lipped, friend? Cat got your tongue?

[He's smug.]

[She props down beside where Ace's head is hanging, staring at him. Oh wow, he's still taped. Blair smiles innocently.]

[Dray heard the dogs's ruckus from a mile ago an he quickly climbed the nearest tree. He hisses at the dogs in anger and disgust, fur standing up when they keep howling and barking excitedly.]

GO AWAY!

[Ace, keep your mutts at bay, they're scaring the kitty.]

Fish is real meat, Nutnugget! But hell, y' wanna hang out in the trash, be my guest!

[Slams the window shut and drops the blinds. Maybe this is just a weird dream. He's going back to bed.]
