[dogs. dogs everywhere. Genessia, Attleton, Nova City, Everglades, Fayren, wherever there is a pound or animal shelter, they've been sprung from them and are now baying through the streets or sleeping on doorsteps or rummaging through trash.

Through Genessia proper though, there is a pack of them, charging through the streets, baying excitedly. In the middle of them is one shirtless hat less pirate, rolling along on a skateboard despite the fact that his hands are cuffed behind him. At intervals, he'll throw back his head and howl as he goes along]

[a little later, he's sitting against a wall, breathless and excited, comm propped between his knees as he grins wildly at the camera though it, dogs sleeping all around him and a pooped pug on his head, snoring upside down with her legs twitching in the air]

Yo! I'm here. I'm back. Anyone got food? Or a key? Marco? Namur? Adela? [his grin widens] Taisa? Come find me. I'm free.


[Locked to whoever is in Namur's apartment]

[at some point, at Namur's apartment, this same certain pirate may be seen sleeping against the outside of the window, as if he was trying to jimmy it open with his teeth and conked out during the attempt]

[Those catlike ears arch backwards once he hears all the howling and barking coming closer. Nao grips his sword a little tighter around its sheath when a pack of wild dogs suddenly emerge upon the scene. He doubts this is a normal occurrence judging from the locals shock and awe. Nevertheless, the dogs look harmless at best besides a few unfriendly hounds but what caught Nao's attention is the handcuffed man with the strange hat.]

Is this some kind of parade? [This seems more like a disturbance.] Quite the entrance.

[he comes to a stop. Some of the dogs go on without him while others mill around him barking excitedly, tails wagging]

Damn right it is. [he glances at the sword, then back up at the ears guy] Got a problem with it?

[Nao all but glares at this vagabond. That black tail of his flicks in annoyance.]

I just might depending on what you say next. [Please no kitty-kat jokes! Please, please--] I hope you're going to return these mutts home.

[Somewhere in a little apartment above a bar in Nova, a vague disturbance is felt in the Force. Just enough to make Namur snort and turn over in his sleep, possibly disturbing the cat.]

[sensing the sensing of vague disturbance in the force, Ace smiles a bit in his sleep, drool seeping under the sill as his snot bubble gently brushes the glass as he breathes]

MARCO! [the dogs bark excitedly. It's so loud Ace has to talk over them] HEY, MAN! YOU LOOK GREAT! GOT ANY STEAK ON YOU?

[A while later, a purple cat was on the other side of the glass window staring at the young pirate snoring. Tilting her head curiously, she opened the window which probably hit his head back or somethig. She thought it was a great idea.]

[it does knock his head back and he takes a piece of the sill with him with his teeth, he falls a short distance until his chin catches on the edge of the window and he snores on, blood trailing from his nose where the window hit]

[Dray heard the dogs's ruckus from a mile ago an he quickly climbed the nearest tree. He hisses at the dogs in anger and disgust, fur standing up when they keep howling and barking excitedly.]

[Ace, keep your mutts at bay, they're scaring the kitty.]

SIT. [the dogs sit, some in mid run and go skidding on their butts. Ace comes to a stop in front of the tree and looks up at the guy]

Sorry, they won't hurt you. They're just happy.

[Scott is walking towards the library, backpack hanging from his shoulder, when he notices a small puppy chewing on a pair of fries that someone dropped near a sidewalk garbage can. The poor runt looks like it could use some real food and Scott crouches next to it and shares with the dog the turkey sandwich he has packed as lunch.]

What are you doing here? You're too small to be alone. [Scott smiles and scratches behind the pup's ears as the dog tries to lick his face. It has no collar and no signs of a chip, it's this is a lost dog Scott has no idea who it belongs to.

But Ace and his group of furry friends walking down the street are impossible to miss, though. Perhaps they're looking for their lost friend.]

Sir? Are all those dogs yours? Do you happen to be missing one, by any chance? [One that is now flopped down onto Scott's lap, wagging his tail.]

[ Cassian has had a very hectic day, getting roped into chasing down the dogs running all over Attleton. And now there's this happy little fluffball of a corgi that just won't budge from his side, and which he will totally be returning to the pound just as soon... yeah...

He huffs at the sight of someone looking far happier than him to be surrounded by dogs. ]

So I take it the dogs aren't just an Attleton problem?

[Holy crap, that's a lot of dogs! And poor Minori might have been carrying a bag of small, very unrelated items when the pack rounded the corner. Minori only had time for a deer-in-headlights look before one rather happy terrier decided she was a pin to his bowlingball. The bag flew up and she went down.]

[But it wasn't all that bad since a good six or seven wet noses instantly started making sure she was ok. Hard to stay mad while giggling took all the lung power!]

Sit! Sit. [the dogs obey and he comes to a stop on his skateboard, hopping off and crouching beside her] Hey. You okay?

[he'd give her a hand up but as both of his are cuffed behind him it's a little difficult]
