[The phones tune in to the sweet dulcet tones of Cassian at his grumpiest. Kay had picked up his communicator from the floor after it was dropped by accident during a fight with Akihiko, and he accidentally turned on the voice option.]

Maybe if someone has gotten here sooner instead or away getting a coffee fix things would have gone differently.

[The droid snaps back, unable to keep the snappy tone out of his voice. He is rarely this confrontational with Cassian but he's in a terrible mood because the joints of his right arm seem to have been affected by Caesar's lighting attack.]

Maybe if someone had learnt to follow orders sometime within the last decade things wouldn't fall apart as soon as I take a coffee break!

[And off they are...10 years of petty grievances being dug up and flung at another as they work through their frustrations and feelings of helplessness in their very own way. They're very loud and not very nice.]

[Kay wasn't all that angry at them, he wouldn't suggest to put them in person but they had to do something if they wanted people to respect the police and Guardian duties.]

[It really is very nice and honestly he wouldn't mind staying right here just as long as Kay stays with him. Well. Maybe somewhere horizontal before he falls asleep on his feet but right now Kay's closeness is invigorating enough. ]

[He leans against Kay, leaning maybe more of his weight on him than he normally would. He chuckles. ] Think we could make them care for the frog?

[It would be a pity if Cassian fell asleep while standing up and Kay had to carry him home bridal style, right? Such shame...but before things get to that Kay shift his positions so Cassian is still pressed against him but on his side.]

Ah, the giant Frog. And the mysterious book you found next to it. [He starts to walk, slowly, and half dragging Cassian with him.]

It's been living in our pond for, what? A week and a half? We can bring it to the office one of those days and see if they can figure out what's wrong with it. The thing croaks pitiful at me every time I walk past it as if it wants something.

[What a shame indeed. Think of it,people would see them and think them adorable. What a terrible fate.

Walking next to another is quite nice and he is all too happy to lean on Kay, at least until they make it onto the street. Can't be seen being less than in control of himself in public.]

We might as well bring it, and the book, too. It looks so impatient but there's been no time to deal with that mystery. At least it looks comfortable enough in the pond and its wounds have healed well. I still need to complain to Yukio about these needlessly cruel trap I found it in.

It can't hurt and the frog can't probably get more distressed. Unless Dante goes near it, you never know with Dante.

But... Okay, you're right, everything is possible around Dante, even a frog would know to be concerned. But otherwise, yes. And getting it to follow me shouldn't be a problem, it hates that it isn't allowed to come to work with me.

Don't get me wrong, I like Dante. He tells the greatest stories but...it's Dante. [And very special.]Yeah it is. I tried to give the frog more berries to see if it was just hungry but it turns out it wasn't a good idea.

It's not a pokemon, bribing it with berries doesn't work properly.

[ He sighs. His life is hard and getting ever weirder with every day.

He turns to Kay, halting, and reaches for his arm. ]

What if I try lettuce? Frogs eats that? Or that's for turtles?

[Small animals who like to live in rivers, he mixes them up. Kay immediately looks down and gives him a now.]

Let's just keep trying a little bit of everything. I don't mind experimenting. He is far pickier than frogs should be according to the books I have read.

[He trails his fingers up and down Kay's arm.]

As for us... I'm okay with you. I'm okay with us. We need to talk about many things but that doesn't need to happen tonight. [His eyes soften, he steps closer.] I want to sleep with you in our bed tonight.

He really is. Not even the pokemons are to picky about food.

[Hmm that feels nice. Kay leans in closer.]

[ He reaches up, pulling Kay down with a hand on his neck while he gets onto his tiptoes. ]

[ His other hand goes up, grabbing one of the small pins on Kay's chin to make sure his optics remain focused only on him. ]

And you're going to stay till morning. I don't care how much work has piled up at the office. I want to fall asleep and wake up with you.

[Ohhhh bossy. Kay likes it when it happens in this types of situations and hsi engine lets out a humming sound.]
