[one][video] worst hair day
[The woman that appears on the screen appears frustrated, her hair red and shorn close to her scalp and her lilac dress half-damp from momentary unsteadiness in the bay. There are dark, damp splotches up the front of it. Regardless, she carries herself like some kind of royalty]
I am Medusa.
[Her speech is measured, but it almost feels like she might be trying to be more personable. It just isn't going well. It would help, potentially, if she were smiling, but she doesn't have it in her today.]
Since this is my only method of communication at this time, I wanted to make my presence known. [She takes a deep breath, expression still fixed.]
I'm sure that given everything I have seen so far you have heard this before, but this is not a good time. No offense meant, of course, to our hosts.
[Oh, it was meant.]
If anyone happens to see an oversized bulldog, please let me know. I need to get home.

You don't need glasses.
[This was getting better and better.]

You must lead an...interesting life.
[Why was he talking to her? She had put out the video, but there seemed to almost no point.]
Do you have any advice? [The question was almost blurted out. Sharp, as if trying to cut clear to the point.] I'm not in the mood for conversation.

Hallo. Welcome to Genessia. Assuming you've gotten the welcome packet by now if you have further inquiries I should be able to help. Expect for how to get home - we're still working on that one. [Yeah]

I've seen the box. The brochures. [She shakes her head like the entire thing is still ridiculous to her.] That's my main concern. Unless there happen to have been any other recent arrivals. Anyone who maybe...stood out?
[She doubted she was not alone. But still, she could ask. She wished she didn't sound so hopeful.]
no subject
You could argue that we all stand out to each other to varying degrees.
[Because to be honest Ten didn't second glance at the five new arrivals]
But thar was one other arrivals recently.

....and he immediately drops his phone to the ground.
So much for him trying to keep a low profile in the city about being a mutant. If an Inhuman is here, and one that once tried to kill him, that won't work for long.
After a few seconds, he picks up the phone again. It dawns on him the horror that must be for Medusa to be stripped of her powers like that. He too arrived with a dampening collar on, coursety of Emma Frost, it's not fun to be that vulnerable.]
Queen Medusa? What...happeend to your hair?
[It's a direct question but it shows in the teen's face that he knows this is now how things should be.]
Lockjaw isn't in the cities, I'd have noticed.
Re: Video
[Her hand goes to the back of her neck, the edge of her hairline there almost by reflex. A pained look flickered over her face.]
How do you know me? Who are you? I don't know you.
[She forced certainty into her voice. He even knew Lockjaw's name. Something wasn't right.]
Video | Locked
[Despite their issues and the deaths, Scott is more than happy to put that behind them. She didn't seem to recognize him and that is as concerning as the new haircut. Perhaps the people who did that to her tampered with her mind? Scott lock the post for both of their sake just in case.]
My name is Scott Summers but my codename is Cyclops. You maybe knew me better by that name. I'm from Earth and in my universe humans, inhumans and mutants coexist.
[His voice is calm and he's a bit too serious for a man of his age but he doesn't mind answering all her questions.]
What is the last thing you remember before awakening here, madam?

Clayton Young, ma'am [And maybe showing her some of the respect she clearly expects will win him some in return.] I don't think it was convenient for any of us, but we get by well enough.
[He allows a doubtful expression, though, because God help him, he's been trying to figure out how a bulldog connects to getting home, but he just can't make the pieces fit.] I'll keep an eye out for a big bulldog, but what's it got to do with getting home?
Re: ( video )
Be that as it may, getting home is a priority. Though, I've gotten the idea, one I'm not going to be able to act on.
[She furrowed her brows, exhaling softly, the corner of her lips curled just slightly at his question.]
It's not important, unless you do happen to come across him. Find him and I'll tell you.
( video )
I get that. It's a pretty big priority for most of us. Nobody's missing us while we're gone.
[Yeah, see, that's still weird.]
So, how oversized are we talking, here?

[She sounded like she was almost daring him to. Everyone here seemed fixated with her name in one way or another. Even this man who didn't seem to have much in the way of one himself, it sounded more like a title to her.]
That's been suggested to me before. Is there a reason you sound less certain than the others I've spoken to?

[ A pause. ]
There is no one to care how convenient this is for you.
There is no way to get back.
[ It's not said ... unkindly, but neither is there any other particular emotion, either. ]
Re: [ Video ]
[There is emotion here, the words verging on sharp.]
Thank you for your opinion. Feel free to carry on with your day.

Anyway, Medusa, my name's Lea. Got it memorized? Haven't seen any oversized bulldogs unfortunately, but I did see a giant, talking hamster awhile back, if that's any good.
Re: [video]
Lea. [That was almost exceptionally short. It seemed strange. She arched a brow though, as if questioning the thought she would not be able to memorize it.] I do now. No, it's specifically this bulldog.
Re: [video]
[Lea gives a slight amused smirk at her expression regarding his name. It's always fun when people take his catchphrase seriously.]
Ah. I'll keep an eye out then. Though I should probably warn you, even if you big bulldog buddy normally could get you home, chances are he wouldn't be able to from here. The shields around this place block both magical and mundane methods of getting from one world to another.
