[Zexion appears on the screen and he does not look happy in the slightest. Although perhaps he should be- he seems to be alive, after all, despite that the last thing he remembers, that shouldn't be the case. His frown deepens. He wants to ask how that's possible, but he's not sure if anyone here will have the answer to that, or if he even really wants it right now.]

Hello?

[He shifts in his seat like he's uncomfortable or unsure of himself. To be fair, he's much more familiar with books than he is with technology, and he's not entirely sure if videotaping himself is a good idea, but it's potentially the fastest way to get information.]

If I'm to believe the information that was given to me upon my arrival, I've arrived in a world that I cannot leave. Is that accurate?

[He did already try to leave via darkness, but clearly that didn't work, or else he wouldn't still be here.]

If you recall, interactions with "normal people" tended to get us killed.

No one's tried to kill me here yet, and yes, they know I'm a Nobody. Even if I hadn't told them, Lea's been talking about me behind my back.

[He's pretty sure about that, considering a few things people have said that have made him suspicious.]

He says the Superior wanted us to think that, so we'd be under his control.

[Zexion raises an eyebrow at this.]

Oh? What else has he said?

His intention was to make sure we remained heartless so that he could put a piece of his Somebody's heart and take over our bodies.

[His answer is bland to match Zexion's tone with the conversation.]

We weren't puppets enough, I think, because you're not the only one who didn't come back, and then after Roxy left, it's all gone to hell and he's trying to get me killed now!

That is a ridiculous accusation. What would he possibly want with twelve bodies, especially when we were working with him from the beginning? What purpose would that even serve?

Roxas is gone? What happened?

[He's missed a lot, it seems, between being at Castle Oblivion and the difference in their timelines.]

Did you ever think that it's merely your incompetence that seems to be "trying to get you killed" rather than your lack of being a puppet?

[Although it was also possible that said incompetence had finally driven Xemnas to eliminate the problem. It wasn't a surprise. Zexion kept that
thought to himself. It didn't seem like an especially productive comment at the moment.

I don't know. [He shakes his head.]

Roxas took off, he defected. Ax has been...I don't know, running around somewhere. They've sent me after Roxas.

[It was not in his strengths, not in his skillset.]

[Demyx quiets and doesn't respond to that because maybe Zexion is right and it's his own fault that he's in this precarious position.]

[His eyes narrow at the news of Roxas. Things have gotten pretty bad in the Organization, from the sounds of it.]

Defected? Are you sure?

[But not much is in his skillset, is it?]

[They have, they have completely gone downhill.]

Yeah, he's been gone awhile. Ax was looking for him, but since he's not really coming into report either...

[Now it's Demyx's problem.]

[Zexion sighs heavily. Wonderful.]

I see. And now we're stuck here, it seems.

[Hell in a handbasket Zexion.]

Yep. [He sighs a little.] Larxene and Axel are Somebodies and I'm going to see if I can't become one. That is why I joined the Organization.

Don't you want your heart back?

Of course I want my heart back.

[He looks away at this admission. Even though it should be obvious, it still seems like a concession of some kind. Something that shouldn't be voiced. Desire makes him vulnerable in a way that he really doesn't care for at all.]

I just... don't see how that's going to happen now.

[Demyx has his doubts that everyone in their Organization feels that way, feeling being subjective and all, and he's pleasantly surprised.]

I know, okay? I know. [His arms are crossed, his finger tapping on his elbow as he thinks.]

There is no Kingdom Hearts here, but they have their hearts back because they're from our future, just like when I'm from you're already gone.

[He exhales.]

I have to trust that they're right because what else do we have? Kingdom Hearts isn't even here, and even if it was, Ax says it wouldn't work. It wasn't actually meant for that. We've been played.

[That's right, you too Zexion.]

I don't have anything else to try, no other ideas, so I'm going to...interact with people. That's not so bad anyway, I only don't because of rules anyway and none of you appreciate my music at all.

[And they were back to the issue of trust. Trusting Axel and Larxene, even. Zexion isn't nearly that desperate.]

I've already explained why trusting Axel and Larxene is a bad idea. I won't repeat myself. Obviously you're free to do what you want, but I'm certainly not going to simply take their word for it when they've proven that they can't be trusted.

[He raises an eyebrow at the music comment.

We generally had better things to do than to sit around and listen to music.

It doesn't involve them much at all, you can interact with other Somebodies. [He waves his hand with a sigh, Zexion could be so annoying sometimes.]

Do you have any other ideas?

[He tilts his head.]

Yeah, well you guys suck. Music is the best!

Not at the moment, no.

[He doesn't look especially thrilled to admit that, but truly he doesn't have a plan at this point, and being that he's only just gotten here, it seems stupid to pretend that he does.]

We do not suck. We were busy. Something you clearly never had any problems with.

Then you should try what I said!

[He grins and shrugs at him.]

That's what you think, but I've been very busy composing!

I would rather work and do something useful than socialize. It seems as if I have to find a job here anyway.

[He blinks at the last bit.]

Composing? Really?

[See his eyes rolling?]

The socializing is fun.

[A bland stare.]

What else do you do with music?

I think you and I have different definitions of the word "fun."

[Zexion gives him a bland stare back. Two can play at that game, Demyx.]

I was under the impression that most people simply play what other people have written, rather than writing their own.

Your definition of fun is boring. Be less boring.

[So much helpful advice.]

Well yeah, I do that too, but I also write my own!

I am not boring. We are simply different people with different interests. You like socializing. I do not, under most circumstances.

[Unless he either genuinely enjoys talking to the person, or more likely, he thinks there's something to be learned from the interaction.

He looks ever so slightly impressed at that. Good job, Demyx.]

You should though, there's cool people here, it'll be fun!

[He thought everyone knew that about him.]

Oh, well yeah. Mostly I play whatever's on my mind, like thinking and talking but with notes.
