[September will find Rose increasingly more and more scarce, until she almost all but disappears until the second week of October. She went from attending as many of the 12th Doctor's lectures, and even hanging around the campus of Attleton University testing products ostensibly; but after the first week of September, she pretty much disappears for a bit. No sign of her on the network, and even around the TARDIS, or her usual haunts, she's hard to nab. Even for someone like Captain Jack Harkness who spent a good portion of a century tracking her and has a good bond link to make sure she's safe will find Rose a bit scarcer than usual. 3 years of acting like a ghost has made it a lot easier for her to be invisible in a crowd if she wants.]

[Whatever appearances in public appear to be marketing and testing related, survey, and throwing things literally into fountains or against walls or collecting data.]

[But finally she makes a small appearance on the network!]

First round of drinks is on Mirajane. All of the Doctors are required to make a presence or I'll make life hell for ya, more'n usual, yeah? [Tongue out to the side.] River, Martha, Jack, Gwen, Demyx, Koishi, Satori, Belle, Rory, Amy, and apologies to anyone I forgot. [Laughs.] You can make excuses, but I'm draggin' ya all out for at least one drink. Be there! Everything after the first drink you're on your own.

But since I'm officially quittin' after this crazy last month, I might be able to spot ya. Some.

[Grins.]

[And locked to Demyx:] First mission, find us a suitable tower. Nova city. Price is negotiable. Capacity for modifications is not.

[And indeed anyone hitting up the Fairy Tail Guild during the first round of drinks on Rose / Mirajane can probably sneak in a free drink by saying they're friends with Rose Tyler. Just might want to make sure you actually know who that is if pressed.]

Eventually Eleven might notice something. A tiny green... thing with a colorful drink and topped with an orange twist, leaning in close and staaaaaaaring. It was strange. Had she been there before? Was this some new form of The Silence? Well, no. She was too adorable for that. And he didn't quite forget her when he looked away. Not completely

"Oh! You noticed me. Hello there Mister." And right back to sipping her drink.

Well, that's hardly the tiniest, greenest, or strangest person he's ever met, so he just raises his eyebrows with a quirky, slightly puzzled smile at that opening line... and at not having noticed her, at first, that's definitely interesting, but filed away for future reference, for the moment.

"I did, not really a mister, though, well, yeah, I am, but it's not much of a title, is it, never mind 'mister,' just 'the Doctor' is fine, hello, don't think we've met. What's your name, then, dear?"

"Ohhh okay!" She giggled, drifting to one side a little, a blue sphere in front of her chest bobbing of her own accord. Wait, was that an eye? Yes. Yes it was. A closed eye.

"It's nice to meet you Mister Doctor!" Well it was closer... "My name is Koishi Komeiji! I'm a satori youkai. But you don't have to be scared. I can't read minds anymore." She was absolutely beaming. "I've never met anyone like you before. You're head is tilted and around. Like bright lights on oil on water. It's spectacular."

"Ah, no, sorry, just 'the Doctor,' actually, hello, Koishi, really, are you."

He leans down closer, not seeming the least bit scared, or at least much less so than he is intrigued. ...probably violating her personal space a bit by normal-people standards. His eyebrows pop up at that least bit and he smiles with bemusement, laughing lightly.

"...sorry, whot? I mean, yeah, pretty sure you haven't, but I think my head's pretty much how it belongs. ...thanks, 'though, I s'pose."

He'll still take the compliment, even if it's expressed more than a bit weirdly.

"Satori yokai, what's that, then, when it's at home, 'enlightened spirit,' getting that, guessing it's not so literal, though, most species' names aren't quite that on the nose. ...s'pose I'm not really one to talk, but even so, the point stands."

"Okay Mister The Doctor. That's kind of odd having a 'the' in your name." Koishi no...

She didn't seem to mind the invasion of her personal bubble. In fact, she leaned closer after a moment, her third eye drifting up and nudging his face.

Well... That was an unpleasant amount of psychic disruption. Though it didn't seem intentional on her part.

"I've never met anyone with such bright points is what I meant!" Her eyes brightened significantly. "And yeah! It is literal. Sis and I are from the mountains in japan. We're carnivorous spirits made from fragments of fallen mountain gods and we feed on human fear." She was absolutely beaming. "We're mind readers but I can't do that anymore." You already said that Koishi.

"...ah, no, sorry, no 'mister,' and really most people just leave off the 'the'..."

He's pretty unfazed at her leaning closer--but blinks at that eye-nudge, and recoils reflexively... more from the telepathic sense of yawning emptiness than from getting rubbed up against by a floating eye because let's be honest his sense of grossness is wildly out of whack by most people's reckoning.

"Whot-... what d'you mean bright points?"

Oh there are a few things there he wants to parse, and he casually reaches in his jacket, pulling out his sonic and giving her a quick head-to-toe scan, making sure he gets that eyeball, as well, and peering at the side of the screwdriver afterward... although he's apparently still carrying on the conversation with her.

"...can't do it anymore as of about when? And how long've you been here, exactly, then?"

"Oh! Okay Mister The Doctor. I'll try to remember!" Did she already forget?

The sonic screwdriver was able to get a reading on her. Very weird readings involving unknown energy and mass with no matter. But the proximity to Koishi made actually reading the thing a bit more difficult. And, from what 11 could gather, she didn't seem to have been put together quite right. She also seemed to be actively disrupting any sort of psychic energy around her. Like a black hole.

"How long?" Koishi blinked. "It's going to be snowy again soon, right? This will be the fourth time seeing snow." Someone should really teach her to read a calendar. "My age is different. I'm five hundred and sixteen years old now. I remember because Mister Fins took me on a 'sweet sixteen' because he found out I never had one."

"And I haven't been able to read minds for almost a century now. See?" She lifted her hat, pointing out the scar and bald spot above her left temple. "But that's okay. I can manipulate the subconscious now so I don't mind. But sometimes my head falls off and the world becomes every which way and I don't know where I am when I find it again."

She didn't elaborate further on the bright points. Maybe she just spoke in riddles? Or synesthesia perhaps?

"...shouldn't get my hopes up, eh?"

The Doctor smiles to himself, a bit bemused at just how badly she's doing at his name (not like it's a complicated one!), before getting a bit distracted staring at the side of his screwdriver, squinting. Interesting, almost like a telepathic field sink, or perhaps it's more like interference? He looks up again after a moment, though, leaning to peer at that scar.

"...blimey, someone didn't like your hat?"

That does seem like the most likely way to get a head scar, doesn't it?

"No, hold on, four snows, that mean four winters, then, orrr just four times it snowed outside?"

Sink was right. She wasn't using interference to cancel the psychic presence or creating white noise to overwrite it. It was just... gone. Even the psychic background noise. This also seemed to contribute to her Silence-like ability to go unnoticed.

"Shouldn't get your hopes up for what?" Trying to explain it might end up being pretty pointless...

"Oh! No, I got my scar before I got my hat." In fact the hat's inner ring was lopsided. Probably made for the purpose of protecting the scar. "My eye used to be connected to my head. But I pulled it out to get rid of my mind reading. It wasn't very smart."

"And I mean four winters. Yes. Because it was followed by rainy seasons and then hot seasons and then the leaves changed color."
