September Catch All + Fairy Tail Guild Invasion by DW cast & OTA

[September will find Rose increasingly more and more scarce, until she almost all but disappears until the second week of October. She went from attending as many of the 12th Doctor's lectures, and even hanging around the campus of Attleton University testing products ostensibly; but after the first week of September, she pretty much disappears for a bit. No sign of her on the network, and even around the TARDIS, or her usual haunts, she's hard to nab. Even for someone like Captain Jack Harkness who spent a good portion of a century tracking her and has a good bond link to make sure she's safe will find Rose a bit scarcer than usual. 3 years of acting like a ghost has made it a lot easier for her to be invisible in a crowd if she wants.]

[Whatever appearances in public appear to be marketing and testing related, survey, and throwing things literally into fountains or against walls or collecting data.]

[But finally she makes a small appearance on the network!]

First round of drinks is on Mirajane. All of the Doctors are required to make a presence or I'll make life hell for ya, more'n usual, yeah? [Tongue out to the side.] River, Martha, Jack, Gwen, Demyx, Koishi, Satori, Belle, Rory, Amy, and apologies to anyone I forgot. [Laughs.] You can make excuses, but I'm draggin' ya all out for at least one drink. Be there! Everything after the first drink you're on your own.

But since I'm officially quittin' after this crazy last month, I might be able to spot ya. Some.

[And locked to Demyx:] First mission, find us a suitable tower. Nova city. Price is negotiable. Capacity for modifications is not.


[And indeed anyone hitting up the Fairy Tail Guild during the first round of drinks on Rose / Mirajane can probably sneak in a free drink by saying they're friends with Rose Tyler. Just might want to make sure you actually know who that is if pressed.]

[Bites her bottom lip.] Yeah? Who's that?

[If she found a way back... she'd have to say goodbye to Jack. She couldn't do it. She just couldn't. And even if someone else found a way... she wouldn't leave. That way Jack could still find her. It was important.]

[She shakes her head.] I'm not leaving Jack. Even if I find a way to hook it up the other universes. Kind of.... [Wince.] Not interested. Neither is Tie Doctor so don't count on it happening soon, yeah?

A bar night where the Doctors will all be? Amy wouldn't miss it for the world. She was about to find out if her sonic specs had a record mode. Because this was going to be quite the show. She found a spot where she could see the whole room, and leaned back with her drink, prepared to enjoy herself. There was an open seat to either side of her.

She was in a short skirt, long legs stretched out before her, a snug sweater, a long scarf, and her black glasses. When her sleeve rode up, though, the black crack bracelet she kept refreshing on her wrist could be seen.

Since Amy already has her drink, Mirajane is just hovering near her, expecting the others to arrive shortly. She'd heard a little bit about Amy from Rose, but hadn't had the chance to ever interact with the young red head. It was a little unprofessional of her to sit down and chat with customers... so she decided to just stand near Amy and chat her up a little.

"So, how do you know the doctor? And which one's your Doctor? I know there's at least three of them here, though I somewhat doubt the old cranky one wants to be anywhere near me." She's just grinning about that, because she would still treat him just as hospitably as anyone else, but they'd had a bit of argument over Rose.

[It's only a matter of time before the Doctor--her Doctor--flops down next to her, shoulder-to-shoulder.]

So this's "going down the pub," then, is it? Not so bad after all, I s'pose, better than I'd expected.

Amy would probably eventually notice Koishi floating off to one side of her. She was mostly upside down. Just sort of staring. She would blink and right herself when she was finally noticed, though the staring would continue.

"Miss. You're human, right?" It was kind of a question. "You have very, very red hair. I like it."

Finally taking me up on my offer I see? I better set up!

[She's just going to start setting up the largest table the Guild Hall has, with some benches and comfy chairs.]

[He's been sort of wrapped up with other people the whole time, but as things start to wind down--especially in the aftermath of someone throwing a little bit of a fit--he makes a point to go and pay his respects... in particular, with another air-kiss-to-the-cheeks greeting.]

Hello, Mirajane, lovely name, have I mentioned? Reminds me of a friend of mine from-.. ohh, a while ago, should've seen me, then, big scarf, big curls, woolly from toe to tip.

[He takes a quick peek around to ensure some semblance of privacy, his smile growing a touch more sheepishly, as though he's talking about his embarrassing kid brother or senile grandad.]

...also, ah... wanted to apologize for that... incident. He's been having a rough time of it. Hard on anybody, being out of sync with everyone, only worse for us.

It had taken 20 minutes just to find the place but Gwen finally located the bar. She had dried out and located short term housing while she made plans to join her friends full time. She had also been job hunting,"Please tell me Guiness exists here!" her smile showing she's mostly joking.

"I can serve you just about any kind of drink in any world." She's studied most of the other worlds in the libraries of Genessia, because if there's one thing Mirajane takes pride in... it's her job as a bartender.

"If you want that old Irish tap water then by all means. But if you want a real drink, a flavorful one, I brew the finest beer in all of Genessia and I'll fight anyone who wants to prove me wrong." She's got her hands on her hips and a defiant pout on her face. Welcome to Fairy Haven Gwen.

[Ten rather begrudgingly attends. At the moment he's still not feeling - sociable. However, after having just sort of finally calmed the waters with Rose after months he's not, not going to show up and have something start - again.

However, he's not going to drink because he can't well he can but it's not a good idea.

Rather he can be found playing billiards by himself or building Big Ben out of swizzle sticks and using sauce as glue.]

[Sneaks up on him while he's lining up a shot, hugs him tightly groping her hands in his pockets and blows on an ear.]

Doctor...

[Yeah, she sees him playing with the swizzle sticks and she's just sort of... not sure what to make of him. On the one hand it seems so childish, on the other hand he's doing a really good job with his tower, and in some sort of third hand she's used to grumpy old man doctor being such a stick in the mud. His personalities really are very different in many ways, even if he is still the same man at the core.]

Are you sure you don't want a soda, or... a glass of milk?

[She felt awkward, because he seemed so awkward to her, and she really couldn't understand why so many people thought he was the most amazing thing in the universe.]

Amy hopped up onto the edge of the pool table after one of his shots, crossing her legs to show them off and leaning on the green a bit to be sure she had his attention as she smiled at him. "Hullo, Doctor." Bright sunshine smile. But the sleeve of her shirt pulled a bit, so he would be able to see the edge of the black sharpie crack design wound around her wrist. Of course, this Doctor wouldn't know why sharpie, or that crack, should be alarming.

Jack Harkness I OTA

[Jack stood near the bar Scotch in hand people watching. He sipped his drink enjoying it's burn and giving into a moment of pity for himself. Rejoining Torchwood was a dangerous idea given where he'd come from and it was getting harder and harder to hide his secrets the more intangled he got with Rose and Fluffy.]

[Mirajane was making rounds with all Rose's guests, making sure everyone who wanted a drink had one, when she spotted captain Jack Harkness. The man of a thousand lives and then some, and she couldn't help but be reminded of Gildarts.]

You keep frowning like that, and you're going to start looking your age Jack.

[Rose hadn't left out much details on Jack, so it was almost safe to say that anything Jack had told Rose, Mirajane knew at this point. The girl had needed someone she could trust and pour her heart out to, and Mira was willing to help as best as she could. This night was a perfect example of one of the ways she wanted to help Rose, feeling like a night out with all her friends together was just what the girl needed.]

Anything I can get you while you're working on your Scotch, or would you rather have a pretty face to talk to?

Martha had seen the video as she was leaving the hospital. She made a pit stop at the TARDIS to change and the followed the directions to the bar.

She stepped in, looking around, before heading to the bar and grabbing a drink. She wanted something fruity with an umbrella. "Can I have something fruity?"

Rose spun around on the stool next to her. "Haven't seen ya lately!"

[Action] Satori & Koishi

Booze. Free booze. That’s all that needed to be said. Even if it was only one drink.

With this knowledge Koishi decided that they would be going. She would take her older sister by the hand and drag her along, forcibly if need be, to the bar where Rose was hosting her little torchwood get-together.

Satori, poor girl, didn’t have much time to react to what was going on. Koishi dragging her about by the hand, as she always was ought to do, tended to collapse a lot of the journey into a blur of sights, sounds and thoughts. Continual confusion seemed to be Satori’s lot today as she unceremoniously found herself at the end of the trek. She only had one thing to say to that..

“...Koishi, I don’t know why you’ve brought me here. I don’t think I know anyone well enough to so casually show up. I don’t even feel welcome here, invitation or not.” Satori sighed a little, shaking her head and looking displeased.

“That’s never stopped me! You know you’ll have fun when you get there. Just give it a chance. Besides, you like trying different drinks. Besides, You’ve met Rose. You know! The nice human who gave you that hug that one time!” And picked Satori up… And spun her around...

And it was decided. Or, rather, Koishi had decided.

The sisters did arrive a little late but that didn’t stop them from joining in the party. Satori would get dragged over to the bar before Koishi zipped off to do… well… Koishi things and leave Satori alone with her thoughts. At least she got that drink she was promised...

Behind the bar is the woman of a dozen free drinks this evening, Mirajane Strauss, bartender, barmaid, hostess, manager, but not the proprietor of the Fairy Haven guild hall. She's cleaning a plate the Doctor and Rose had been using for a tray of chips that they seemed to go through even faster than the booze.

"Welcome! As you might already know, first drink of the evening is on me if you're a friend of Rose, so what can I get you? Our house beer is the finest in Genessia, and I brew it myself. So what can I get you ladies?" Mira's smile was absolutely beaming, and she seemed to also be working a fryer she kept behind the bar to crisp up some more chips. "The chips aren't free, so you'll have to try to steal them from Rose if you didn't bring any money with you."

[The Doctor or a least this Doctor is there with his usual ebullience, ready to hug and/or cheek-kiss basically everyone and anyone who seems even potentially up for a friendly greeting ergo not including either of his other incarnations, double-especially if he already knows and likes them.

He might get talked into trying to drink something but it may not go well unless a nine year old would like it.]

Eventually Eleven might notice something. A tiny green... thing with a colorful drink and topped with an orange twist, leaning in close and staaaaaaaring. It was strange. Had she been there before? Was this some new form of The Silence? Well, no. She was too adorable for that. And he didn't quite forget her when he looked away. Not completely

"Oh! You noticed me. Hello there Mister." And right back to sipping her drink.

OTA - Hey look Rose, someone who can be of service to you...

Arelen needed a drink, and she needed one NOW. It was just one of those days, and after that initial conversation with Mirajane, she found Fairy Tail fairly easily. She sat at the bar in her jeans and a yellow and black form fitting t-shirt, ordering a glass of cognac straight, not exactly focusing on WHO was there, just that it was a little crowded.

Amy dropped into a seat beside her. "What? Not even a hullo?" she asked, brows raised over the top of her glasses.

[River comes in a little bit later than everyone else, because she got distracted grading papers. For the most part, River loves teaching,and she loves interacting with her students, but she'd long ago since come to realize that being a professor and needing to grade papers is a karma-tic penance that's tied to how much one tended to fluff their papers. River fluffed hers a fair amount, and now she was responded in kind. It was a pain in the ass, but it always could be worse.

But Rose had invited her, so River was going to show up. She comes in after the party is starting to be in full swing, and she sets her satchel on top of the bar before ordering herself a beer. Once she's got a drink in hand, River just takes in the lay of the land with an enigmatic smile. It feels like a long time since they were all in one room, and River definitely wants to be able to read the room before she goes bounding in.]

[Mirajane handed River her drink which was the only full glass on the tray, Mirajane making rounds and doing her best to keep up with the party guests as well as the regular customers she was getting today. She's glad she did offer Rose a round of drinks on the house, because if nothing else it was nice to have so many people in the guildhall again. Besides, if they ordered a second or third drink, it more or less covered the expense of the first round.]

Anything else I can get for you? I know Rose is obsessed with her chips, but if you just want stick to the one drink I'll understand. You are a party guest after all.

[And what fun is a party if you have to be paying for it? Well, still pretty fun in Mirajane's book, but she's not really made of money here in Genessia.]

Mavis opened her eyes, reluctantly. Why did it suddenly feel like a large group of wide animals had invaded the first floor of Fairy Haven? She could hear screams and glasses clinking... It didn't take long for Mavis to put two and two together: Mirajane's friends had just crashed the guild hall and were having a party. She smiled. It felt just like home.

Something was different from home, though. It was the sleepy head on her shoulder. Zeref looked so peaceful right then, his eyes closed, one of his hand still clutching the book they'd been reading together before they fell asleep. His other hand was loosely wrapped around Mavis' waist. Mavis' smile turned softer. Yes, this was different from home: it was better.

{ Zeref had always been a light sleeper. When you spend as much time as he did alone in the wilderness, sleeping against trees in a world full of monsters, dark guilds, and thieves, it was inevitable that your body would learn to survive (for a given value of the term, to an immortal) on as little sleep as possible. But with Mavis, he could sleep as long as he did on the weekends at the Mildian Magical Academy, after pulling an all-nighter. In the back of his mind, he was hearing the cacophonous noise downstairs, but he was tuning it out. He could have stayed like this on Mavis until the morning.

When Mavis began shifting though, he began hearing the noise more clearly. Screaming? Laughter? High pitched voices shouting at each other? }

Mavis, tell Invel to shut them up.

{ Zeref murmured, face buried in Mavis' ridiculously long hair, that wing on the side of her head covering his eyes. Brandish and Dimaria fighting at this time of night? So not in the mood. Especially not when he's trying to spend some time alone with Mavis. }

Mavis entered Fairy Haven's common room sauntering happily. It had not been easy but she he had eventually managed to convince Zeref to come downstairs with her and attend the party.

Of course, there was still this nagging thought at the back of her mind that her Curse could activate and endanger people around her. But there was no danger tonight. Besides, Mavis did not know most of the people that were here tonight. So she didn't have to care one way or another, right?

Tonight she just wanted to enjoy a nice moment with Zeref and her guildmates and friends. She checked over her shoulder that Zeref was still behind her and then headed straight to the bar when Mirajane was.

"Hi, Mira? Are we late?" She easily jumped up onto one of the stools. She looked thoughtful for a moment before she asked, very seriously. "Do you have any flavored beer?"

"A little late, but not too late." She had just returned with a platter full of drinks that had been finished off by several of their guests, varying from mugs and glasses to cups and sake bowls. Mirajane always had time for her guild master though, Mavis, Erza, or Makarov, so she deposited her tray to turn her attention to the little lady on the bar stool.

"Now that's a request I don't hear to often. What kind of flavor suits your fancy? Something pumpkin flavored for the holiday? Something sweet or savory? I can get you just about any drink you can name, because I like to keep us well stocked." Some of the stock came out of Mirajane's own salary because there wasn't much call for certain kinds of liquor, but she felt it was worth it to keep her bar the best it could be. The Fairy Tail dorms provided her with shelter anyways, so it wasn't like she was extremely hard up for cash.

It was a relief to see the guild hall bustling once more - it made it feel more familiar, like how it was back home. The main difference is that Erza doesn't know most of the attendees, but she'll be acting pretty similarly to how she does for normal Fairy Tail parties - hanging back and making sure things don't get out of hand.

She'll be drinking a bit, but thankfully for everyone else, it won't be too much. Nobody would want to deal with a perpetually pissed-off knight with a habit of drunkenly throwing swords at people.

After spending some time crowd-watching, she'll do her best to mingle, making small talk and probably getting needlessly frustrated by the sheer amount of people who refer to themselves as "The Doctor".

((OoC: Admittedly, I'm completely canon-blind when it comes to Doctor Who, but I figure that shouldn't stop me!))

"AMY!" Rose tackled Erza in a glomping hug from behind. "The Doctor's being meeeeaaaan and a total tease and still showin' off--"

Awkward pause. "You're not Amy."

A small shocked face. "Oh my gosh Miss, I'm so sorry!" askdljalsdkjasldjkasd "I thought you were my friend, she's a model with gorgeous redhair so I thought the armor was just-- Sorry!" she squeaked at the end.

Blair was excited to see the guild haven alive with people. She had her hat on to hide the ears, and wore her witch-like attire. While Mira was busy with the drinks, Blair used a couple levitation magics to entertain the folks. There were a couple carved pumpkins floating around, as if it was peering around some of the folks, lurking behind some as if they had minds of their own. There maybe a couple pumpkins carved with familiar faces around the haven. There maybe some carved pumpkins with drinks ready to be served.

Meanwhile, Blair was on stage beaming while a microphone with wings hovered in front of her. "Hello everyone! Welcome to Fairy Haven again! I'm Blair, and I haven't tried singing so... here goes!" When the music played, Blair begun to sing.

It's not the lack of clothing or pumpkins floating around. However, as he's moping at the table the song does catch his ear - our souls been united - and winces a bit. He got close. Too close.

My wounds are healing. I've gotten use to the pain. I'm moving past to past. I will not give in to dismay. I will overcome what may.

Sort of healing, sort of. He has - barely remembers what it's like to be happy. Yeah, about that.

Running with you, together we will pursue. A world that's no longer dark. we'll break free. You'll always be too good to me. I won't be alone. We will run hand in hand. You won't let me go. Won't surrender. I'll stay by you. A promise I won't forget. It's not my time to die yet

Why - why is she singing this? Why? It's like she knows that he hurts everyone he cares for.
He never thought his Rose would try to make him let go.
No, he will never forget them. Now or then. His granddaughter Susan, Sarah Jane.

There's a hard wince on the last line - thinking about a crashed Tardis and himself a mess and still cooking. And alone. He doesn't like that ending. He really doesn't.

But Amy is happy, right?

Maybe - maybe he knew somehow that he was going to die. Maybe that's why he pushed everyone away. Maybe he couldn't let them experience him dying again like he had with Vislor, Sarah Jane, Adric, Ben, Polly Rose or Zoe.

He's just going to turn his head to the other side and cry silently. He's glad he chose a table in the corner.
