[September will find Rose increasingly more and more scarce, until she almost all but disappears until the second week of October. She went from attending as many of the 12th Doctor's lectures, and even hanging around the campus of Attleton University testing products ostensibly; but after the first week of September, she pretty much disappears for a bit. No sign of her on the network, and even around the TARDIS, or her usual haunts, she's hard to nab. Even for someone like Captain Jack Harkness who spent a good portion of a century tracking her and has a good bond link to make sure she's safe will find Rose a bit scarcer than usual. 3 years of acting like a ghost has made it a lot easier for her to be invisible in a crowd if she wants.]

[Whatever appearances in public appear to be marketing and testing related, survey, and throwing things literally into fountains or against walls or collecting data.]

[But finally she makes a small appearance on the network!]

First round of drinks is on Mirajane. All of the Doctors are required to make a presence or I'll make life hell for ya, more'n usual, yeah? [Tongue out to the side.] River, Martha, Jack, Gwen, Demyx, Koishi, Satori, Belle, Rory, Amy, and apologies to anyone I forgot. [Laughs.] You can make excuses, but I'm draggin' ya all out for at least one drink. Be there! Everything after the first drink you're on your own.

But since I'm officially quittin' after this crazy last month, I might be able to spot ya. Some.

[Grins.]

[And locked to Demyx:] First mission, find us a suitable tower. Nova city. Price is negotiable. Capacity for modifications is not.

[And indeed anyone hitting up the Fairy Tail Guild during the first round of drinks on Rose / Mirajane can probably sneak in a free drink by saying they're friends with Rose Tyler. Just might want to make sure you actually know who that is if pressed.]

Mavis entered Fairy Haven's common room sauntering happily. It had not been easy but she he had eventually managed to convince Zeref to come downstairs with her and attend the party.

Of course, there was still this nagging thought at the back of her mind that her Curse could activate and endanger people around her. But there was no danger tonight. Besides, Mavis did not know most of the people that were here tonight. So she didn't have to care one way or another, right?

Tonight she just wanted to enjoy a nice moment with Zeref and her guildmates and friends. She checked over her shoulder that Zeref was still behind her and then headed straight to the bar when Mirajane was.

"Hi, Mira? Are we late?" She easily jumped up onto one of the stools. She looked thoughtful for a moment before she asked, very seriously. "Do you have any flavored beer?"

"A little late, but not too late." She had just returned with a platter full of drinks that had been finished off by several of their guests, varying from mugs and glasses to cups and sake bowls. Mirajane always had time for her guild master though, Mavis, Erza, or Makarov, so she deposited her tray to turn her attention to the little lady on the bar stool.

"Now that's a request I don't hear to often. What kind of flavor suits your fancy? Something pumpkin flavored for the holiday? Something sweet or savory? I can get you just about any drink you can name, because I like to keep us well stocked." Some of the stock came out of Mirajane's own salary because there wasn't much call for certain kinds of liquor, but she felt it was worth it to keep her bar the best it could be. The Fairy Tail dorms provided her with shelter anyways, so it wasn't like she was extremely hard up for cash.

Mavis had to wonder how Mirajane managed to keep such high stocks of alcohol. But well, that was part of her job as a bartender and she had been doing it for Fairy Tail long enough for Mavis to trust her to know what she was doing.

"I usually prefer sweet flavors," Mavis said, pressing a thoughtful finger against her lips. "Pumpkin sounds pretty tempting, though." Mavis looked so serious about the decision she was about to make than one could have thought she was preparing a battle. "When you say pumpkin flavored, you mean pumpkin spice flavored, right?" She set her hand back down onto the counter and announced brightly: "Pumpkin spice flavored beer, please!"

She turned around once more: "What about you, Zeref?"

It wasn't easy, and Zeref wasn't thrilled about the idea, but he came anyway. He was finding it harder and harder to say no to Mavis since being here, and by now, it was getting to be damned near impossible. As she hopped up onto the barstool, Zeref folded his arms on the counter, leaning forward against it. He didn't do bars. He didn't do parties. Even in Alvarez where a major festival or celebration required the presence of its Emperor, he'd only do a token appearance, maybe give a short speech, but that was it. Never... well, this.

Zeref was never much of a drinker. He's likely never been drunk a day in his life, and if he was, the instances were few and very far between, and absolutely not intentional. The occasional glass of wine in Alvarez was the most he would ever indulge in, and usually the bottle had been a gift from one of the sprawling vineyards in rural Alakitasia, all seeking that most coveted of endorsements in the Empire: 'The Emperor drinks our wine.' But beer? Flavored beer? Not unheard of, but listening to Mavis order alcohol was surprising. Hopefully, nobody thought it odd that a girl who looked as young as she did was asking for beer, let alone being served. Putting aside, of course, that Mavis was over a century old.

"Pumpkin spice?" Like the coffee she asked him to try? It was... definitely an acquired taste, but maybe it would taste better in beer. What an odd thought, to him. "I'll, uh... yeah. One for me too, I guess."

He was ordering flavored beer. In Fairy Tail's hall. What a weird world this was.

"Two pumpkin spice beers coming right up!" There was a hint of a giggle being barely withheld in Mirajane's tone, because it was almost surreal seeing Mavis able to open up the reclusive and somber dark mage to the point where he was drinking flavored beer at a Fairy Tail party. She really was the most amazing person Mirajane had ever met, and while she was away from her siblings while she was stuck here, she also considered herself blessed to be able to spend more time with Mavis who was no longer with them in Magnolia.

Mirajane poured the drinks into the mugs, the beers having a slightly darker tinge to it than the normal amber of the house beer she served, but the auroma was quite pleasant. There actually was a hint of pumpkin used in the making of the beer itself, mixed in the process with the barley as another form of starch. She passed the foamy mugs to Zeref and Mavis with a happy grin, glad to see the two of them together because she sort of rooted for them as a couple.

"If you need anything else just ask, as proprietor you're always welcome to have anything you like." Like the fries that Rose devoured like a hungry wolf nearly every time she was here, and that Mirajane had spent time learning to make just to make the pub a bit more inviting.

"Thank you, Mira!" Mavis seized her mug with both hands and then she raised it just enough to click it against Zeref's. "To the wonderful adventure Genessia is!" She exclamed. Then she leaned in to whisper close to Zeref's ear. "To us." And she took a sip of her beer and hummed happily. This was delicious. She eyes Zeref to see if he would like it too, oblivious of the fact that she had her upper lip covered in foam.

She looked around. Everyone seemed to be having a good time. It made Mavis feel so happy. The fact she could share this time with her guildmates and with Zeref made it even more special.

"Do you have something to eat? Something small?" Mavis was not really hungry but she knew better than drinking alcohol without eating anything. Plus something smelled really good.

"TO GENESSIA!!!" Rose cheered loudly, throwing her own mug up in the air from the side. She might have finished her free drink and another by that point.

"GET THE CHIPS! They're the best here!"

She had no idea she was talking to the guildmaster herself, not just a regular patron.

"To--" Cut off. Zeref briefly glanced at the unfamiliar woman who threw her cup up into the air, clearly at least mildly intoxicated. Zeref sighed, turning back to Mavis. This was why he didn't do parties. But, well, this was Mavis' guild, for better or worse, and living with her was, not terribly long ago, a dream only in the most literal sense of the word. He'd have to get used to it. At least she didn't expect him to actually join Fairy Tail.

"I'll... defer to Mavis on that, but thank you for the suggestion."

He wasn't even that hungry, but Mavis was right; bad idea, drinking alcohol without food.

Mavis smiled brightly back to Rose in thanks before turning to Mirajane.

"We'll have some chips then, please!"
