[September will find Rose increasingly more and more scarce, until she almost all but disappears until the second week of October. She went from attending as many of the 12th Doctor's lectures, and even hanging around the campus of Attleton University testing products ostensibly; but after the first week of September, she pretty much disappears for a bit. No sign of her on the network, and even around the TARDIS, or her usual haunts, she's hard to nab. Even for someone like Captain Jack Harkness who spent a good portion of a century tracking her and has a good bond link to make sure she's safe will find Rose a bit scarcer than usual. 3 years of acting like a ghost has made it a lot easier for her to be invisible in a crowd if she wants.]

[Whatever appearances in public appear to be marketing and testing related, survey, and throwing things literally into fountains or against walls or collecting data.]

[But finally she makes a small appearance on the network!]

First round of drinks is on Mirajane. All of the Doctors are required to make a presence or I'll make life hell for ya, more'n usual, yeah? [Tongue out to the side.] River, Martha, Jack, Gwen, Demyx, Koishi, Satori, Belle, Rory, Amy, and apologies to anyone I forgot. [Laughs.] You can make excuses, but I'm draggin' ya all out for at least one drink. Be there! Everything after the first drink you're on your own.

But since I'm officially quittin' after this crazy last month, I might be able to spot ya. Some.

[Grins.]

[And locked to Demyx:] First mission, find us a suitable tower. Nova city. Price is negotiable. Capacity for modifications is not.

[And indeed anyone hitting up the Fairy Tail Guild during the first round of drinks on Rose / Mirajane can probably sneak in a free drink by saying they're friends with Rose Tyler. Just might want to make sure you actually know who that is if pressed.]

"Well - you said she's here. Maybe you could introduce me?" After all not like he's going to be leaving until he's allowed too.

Sis an immortal as well? Or is Koishi speaking about both of their souls?

He'd be awfully interested to hear about both Koishi and Satori's lack of a soul then.

"Okay! Let me go get her!" And seemed to zip off quickly. She headed over to the bar where a similar looking girl with a similar third eye was sitting. There was a bit of quick back-and-forth between them before Koishi simply grabbed Satori's arm, turning and dragging her off the stool and toward 10.

"Mister! Mister, this is my sister! She's the best big sister ever!"

"Koishi, what are you do--"

The noise of the party obscured most of the short, hurried argument as Satori struggled to get Koishi off her arm.

"...Gods', I didn't ask for you to drag me all the way over here, I haven't even paid for the rest of it--"

Amidst Koishi's chattering at the elder sister, Satori loosed her complaints before she ended up being taken along for the ride, as it were. As much as she didn't want to go immeditely, Satori barely and blearily ended up being tugged aside from her continued drinking to forget why she was drinking. It was precisely this that led her to taking down a bevy of strong liquor in the first place: every time someone interesting to Koishi came by, she ended up being enthuasiastically introduced.

The drink had/hadn't helped in this in the least, and her usual sourness was only slightly tempered by the alcohol in her system.

"I...can't help but agree with Koishi." Being a mind-reader, she reached out to this seemingly-human's mind and found it felt complex and rather old. No, not human. Something else, probably, but it was getting hard to tell.

"My name is Satori. I suppose...you've heard of me. From my sister, probably. She enjoys this sort of thing." Still curt despite the drink, she adds. "Your mind's a little complex to me, but you're more than you seem. That, at least, we have in common. My sister has a good eye for people who are anything but normal."

Taking a moment to get a feel for the situation, she adds, cryptically as a little challenge to such an interesting mind... "Which do you prefer: to hope or to dream?"

As Koishi leaves to get Satori - Ten feels his dread and despair take him over - at least the small bit of happiness was nice to feel. Though - he wasn't sure if he had been deserving of that.

The tip of his finger lightly taps on the tip of his Big Ben squizzle stick model - before eyeing over the moment he feels someone touching his mind or at least mentally feeling him out.

Or a lack of an eye therefore for those who aren't normal, "Hallo, I'm The Doctor." Without even pausing to think about the question asked - "Hope."

Even if he could be in great need of that himself right now but he's the one even if he needs hope will preach about that to others.

That and he doesn't dream per say - he can't dream about what will happen to him or some other path in life that he could take and it's silly to waste time on dreaming about what can't be. As for actual dreaming - those are just nightmares.

She adds, curtly yet politely... "Well met, Doctor. You aren't the only one, it seems." She's seen a few men going by that name as well at this very party, all of them saying they're the same individual. Perhaps multiple points of their life? But none were alike, either. Perhaps, if this were true, this man was closer to a youkai than she thought. Intriguing.

But she couldn't ignore the response to her leading question, either. She replied with her characteristic stoicism. "...Hope, you say? Perhaps my idea isn't quite your definition of hope, but your answer interests me. To remain convinced that the 'right' outcome will occur, that people will change their ways? That there is good in all, human or not?" Her third eye shifts just a little as she reaches out to his mind as gently as she can. She doesn't really do much but take another brief look into his surface thoughts. She's curious, for once.

"In my life, I've seen many who hope and dream. Their hopes are for themselves and those who love them, a cause, an ideal. But hope, when it gutters, becomes dreadful without validation. And dreams...nothing but an abstraction of hope. Ideals, escapes, fantasies and fancies. But, if you'll excuse the term, both phantoms of the mind. Only action brings them forth. To someone who sees the thoughts of others so easily, it's hard to tell the difference."

A pause. A faint smile from the youkai. She wanted to keep testing him. She wanted him to speak his mind and confirm her own lingering thoughts. "...Perhaps I shouldn't be so heavy. Koishi always claims that scares people away. I don't see why it's so worrisome."

"Yes." Is the simple answer to her questions, there are expectations of course - like Daleks which it's their nature to want to destroy everything and of course, the right outcome sometimes can't happen, sometimes everyone can't live. Fixed points. But at the end of an adventure - he does hope that someone saw a different perspective and that no one dies.

Ten feels her feeling his surface thoughts which at the moment are more along the lines of reminding him he's here so maybe things will be a bit better between him and Rose. However, he won't kick her out of his mind not unless of course, she tries to pry deeper without permission.

Satori may see a picture of a some person when guttered as she says is stated. There's also a picture of some kind of metal person or robot. But yes, she may also feel that Ten does agree with her - that hope can become dreadful. As she may feel he's seen hope at it's best and hope at it's worst.

"No. Quite alright." There's a small reassuring smile; he's just sort of the strong silent type.
