Hey, so here's a question for the cops, or guardians or whatever - do you assholes throw every superhero in jail after he saves the city from a tyrannical egomaniac, or just me? Seriously, what the hell? I'm one of the good guys, for crying out loud!

So I maybe punched the mayor. It was an accident! He was totally fine! Sometimes things get hairy in the pursuit of justice!

Also, have you seen his mustache? Gross.

[ A visible shudder, before he waves his hands dismissively, moving on now ]

[ He leaps back, hands on his hips, cape blowing in a breeze that shouldn't even exist because he's in a frozen yogurt store (he might have knocked over a table). ]

The monsters won't come out until it gets dark again, so you should be fine for a while. But I guess there are still the non-monsters that cause trouble, so...it's good to know someone can watch our backs while we're resting too.

I'm more used to the non-monster sort of crime anyway. You know, bank robberies, jewel heists, the occasional psycho super-villain with a multi-phase scheme. That sort of thing.

Really? Neat! It's the opposite for me. I don't think I would want to use my abilities on a normal person.

[Splitting someone in half with Tsubaki would be beyond awful.]

Are you going to sign up as a bounty hunter, then?

... Bounty hunter? Why would I do that? I'm a superhero, I just beat up whatever bad guys I find.

Well...probably so you can get paid to beat up bad guys full time and afford a place to live, and buy more frozen yogurt... Things like that!

You know, being a superhero sounds way less cool once it gets framed as a job.

Because then you become a professional veteran superhero. I think that sounds ten times as cool.

Maybe, but being a superhero shouldn't be about the paycheck.

[She notices them listed in the paper, but there's only one she's been paying very close attention to since she...maybe...suspects that the people she healed in the hospital are the ones being targeted.]

So just beating up street crooks isn't gonna pay the bills? Like, if I stop a mugging, that's not worth a few bucks?

Er...I'm not sure. It seems like it should be, doesn't it? But I haven't really seen any muggings since I got here, so I don't know if they're common.

I suppose you could apply to be some kind of law enforcement officer?

I don't wanna be a cop! The whole point of being a superhero is vigilante justice, fighting crime in ways the police can't!

Maybe you could do it part-time? Vigilante bounty hunter on the side, master grocery clerk with your secret civilian identity in the meantime?
