Party at Pond Place - Invitation only - Forward dated to the 23rd
Amy wasn't really in a party mood. But a closed door invitation only party was good for her rep, and she could use the extra money a boost in popularity might bring, because they were an income shy on the house, now. And what finally got her moving was the thought that people popped up at Christmas. If Rory was going to reappear... it would be at a Christmas party.
So she went all out on decorations. She sent out the invitations and sent them through the Doctors. Well... River got hers directly, as would Arelene, because she didn't know if the Doctors knew her. As for Rose.... Her invitation would go through Eleven, with a note to him, that she is only invited because of what he had said, and that if Rose starts drama or trouble... she would be out on her rear in the snow.
After a talk with Ten, her plan for a dry party was changed to a very limited bar.
And on the 23rd, she'd be finishing up decorations in the afternoon, with the Eleven told that was when the party started, and told Ten and Twelve that they were welcome to help decorate at that time. Eleven, she knew, would be late, which was why he was given the earlier time.
So come noon, she was decorating a fake tree, painted Tardis blue, with bright silver tinsel and lights. The walls and hearth were already started, and the table was set with a place for everyone invited... and one for Rory, beside hers. Since it was a potluck, she didn't have to cook for everyone, thankfully. At least, not a full meal. So she made a few medium sized servings of things, enough for a few people. Yorkshire pudding, fish fingers and custard, a glazed spiral ham - which she will not admit to having bought pre-cooked and simply added honey and tossed it in the oven - and a banana coconut cream pie. That might have come from a mix. Hush. She made sure all the boxes were thrown out well before even the decorators were due.
she had the last of the food that needed to be cooked cooking, she had a christmas selection of music playing, and she was dancing around, getting everything ready.
Evening - Party time
After leaving someone else to finish the last bits, she went up to get showered and changed. And she looked splendid when she came down. Well, for a casual party, anyway. A trim snug green sweater, short skirt, long red scarf, black stockings, cute green flats. It was time to play host and start letting guests in, always looking for that one particular face every time she opened the door...

He wouldn't say anything however, what kind of a superhero gets homesick?
So he arrived, promptly on time, with a big bright smile, a dorky Christmas sweater, and a box full of cookies from the bakery. Please forgive him, he didn't really cook.
He was prepared for any sort of emergency, but hopefully there wouldn't be one and he could just enjoy the party.

Sarah Jane
She adjusted her skirt and placed the basket of fresh breads and sweets on the table. No one wanted Sarah Jane to cook, so she'd gone the safe way and bought the breads fresh from a bakery in Fayren. The sweet buns smelled heavenly and she couldn't help sneaking one as she headed towards the tree to leave the small gaggle of presents she'd brought over. Save for a nice blush wine for the hostess. Sarah's aunt had instilled some manners in her.
Once that was done, she started to take a good look about, seeing what faces she didn't know to go off and pester.

As a hostess gift, he'd bought a fancy hot chocolate gift set. Despite Rapunzel's help, his baking skills weren't up to standard that he'd want to share with others, so buying a gift had seemed like the best option. He just hoped she'd like it.
He adjusted his scarf, gave Xion a reassuring smile, and rang the doorbell. Party time!

Amy opened the door and gave them a warm smile, though the raised hood that hid the smaller person's face confused her. "Welcome, come on in. Merry Christmas and all that."

The Christmas tree
Food and drink tables
Among the food in the savory area would be a large spiral ham, ready to be cut and served that she totally did not buy precooked and heated up. Nope. (Yep.) There was also a yorkshire pudding. And on the Desert side, in addition to whatever else people brought, would be a banana cream and coconut pie, and a huge bowl of custard, oddly beside a seemingly misplaced tray of custard.
Feel free to add to the table, or take from it. Eat. Enjoy.
List of things on the food and drink tables - DO NOT REPY
Sake (brought by Koishi and Satori)
Bottled water
Iced Tea
Soda
Wine
Savory:
Glazed ham
Breads (Provided by Sarah Jane)

Dance Floor
If you put on Timewarp, she may well die laughing.
Re: Dance Floor
She does put on a cd their Torchwood put out which has Jacking singing but after a bit, chews on her bottom lip and switches it for one the TARDIS gave her.
Which may not have been better, but it sure is catchy! Better for dancing at least!

Opening the gifts/gift exchange
no subject
And right off the bad, he picked one out, hesitating just a moment before smiling a touch uncertainly, and holding a wrapped something out to Amy, rectangular and flat-ish, maybe an inch thick or a little more, and a couple hands in area.
Once she opens it, inside the wrapping paper, there's a book with a fanciful cover, but no writing on it--or on the pages inside.

Mistletoe - cause I suspect if I forgot this, a few players might kill me....
Not that she avoided a good snog, normally, but without Rory there to be jealous, there seemed not to be much point...
And because what is doing things in the proper order when you're a time traveler - setting up!
Amy would have music on, after her first coffee and would start dancing as she worked, trying to get into the spirit, as if Rory was just working a double and would be home later. He would come back to her. He always did.

But for now, it was time to take her mother's thoughts off her father in the form of a tinsel fight. Hope you like that, Amy.

Clean up

Of course the shirt wasn't really visible until she got inside. Instead of the usual capelet that went with her winter outfit she was wearing the hoodie that Rose had gotten her. Or rather it was the dark blue one that Rose had gotten Satori. But they were both the same size and it worked with Koishi's outfit a bit more. Also, it was the thought that counted right? And it was warm. And warm was good.
Koishi was carrying the presents. It was abundantly clear neither sister could wrap presents well but one of them was clearly better than the other. And it was probably Satori. Contained within was a red and white sweater for Rose (and a matching sweater for Mikan) as well as a pair of cat ears that stood up when she focused on something. Amy got a beautiful set of dishware including a teapot and several teacups. Jack's present was a surprisingly raunchy fill-in-the-blank card game (picked out by Satori.) Ten was presented with a little velvet box containing a rather nice spring wound pocket watch displaying both the time and date while Eleven received a top hat to go with his extremely stylish bow-tie. Everyone else got little bags of homemade candy for anyone else at the party.
The presents were sort of dumped under the tree and- wait... What was that smell? Ham? HAM? And then the ham was missing some slices. No one would remember exactly where they went. They were just gone. And Koishi could be found perched up on a high shelf and licking glaze off of her fingers.
At least she hadn't gone for the pie.
Other than that she was behaved for the most part during the rest of the party and she was quite eager to participate in all the festivities.

Trying to remind herself that she'd seen weirder. And oddly... suddenly wishing Vastra and Jenny were there to ring in the season with them. She never did get to properly thank them...

Internal griping aside, she seemed happy enough to be here, and unlike her oft-confusing sister, she used the door this time, shaking her head at her sister’s rather unusual entrance by the time she’d got in. The mental noise, as in every party she’d been to of late, was crowded and difficult, but with Koishi around to dull it somewhat, she seemed fairly relaxed. Her outfit was, to some degree, a bit of a match with Koishi’s, though her coat was something closer to a dark rose colour. Once she’d stowed it away, it seems Satori’s sporting the other hoodie after all. It seems the dour sister might’ve wanted to be a stickler for colour-coding herself, her hoodie in a dark shade of lavender. .
As Koishi brought in the presents, Satori would take her time as Koishi inevitably separated to steal table scraps. Satori, in turn, brought a large jug of warm sake - nothing too fatal for any of the more humanoid guests but just strong enough - and with a little bit of a struggle, a container full of freshly grilled Yakitori on metal skewers. She also laid down a small pot that smells vaguely of a mild curry accompanied by a basket of rice.
The mind-reader was already quite used to these kinds of gatherings, and considering she had more than a few people she’d consider ‘friends’ hanging around, she likely trusted that this place would be decent enough for both her and her sister. However, instead of sequestering herself in a corner, she’d end up mingling with the crowd a little more. Really, it was more a pretext for meeting those for which she had a little higher regard, but that still left her open to encountering someone else she hadn’t expected!
no subject
Mentally she was wondering why she had agreed to host, but knowing she had to because not just anyone was allowed in the Tardis, but this would be so much more fun if Rory were here, and easier. Hosting without him felt like there was an aching void in her chest, even as she gave the girls a smile.
Pardon the slows!
No worries
Belle - Open [Arrives Late but with sweets!]
She brought sweet breads that she had baked that morning and placed them on the table with the other foods. No one had asked her to bring anything but it was the closest thing she had to a gift. Belle was dressed in red, with her usual thick cloak draped around her thin shoulders. She smiled at those she knew but otherwise found a place out of the way to stand.
Belle never knew what to do with herself a large gatherings.
Sadly for her, mistletoe had been incorporated into the Christmas holiday in the 18th century and Belle was from the mid to late 17th century. She had no idea why there was a sprig of mistletoe hanging from the doorway.

Re: River Song-OTA (Shows up 15 minutes late with Starbucks.)
It wasn't long at all before the Doctor found her slipping in, and he went to wrap her in a hug right off--at least, for a few seconds, before pulling back enough to get a look at her, whistling under his breath and flashing a slightly cheeky smile at her.
"...ohh... Merry Christmas, you."
...of course, as classy and chic as she looks, he's naturally in an absurd sweater and a possibly even nuttier than usual bow tie.

Hello, I'm Angela.
[Or if she does know you..]
How are you doing tonight?
Speaking of which
The Doctor bustled out of who-knows-where to greet her, his rather vivacious sweater wonderfully complemented by his festive bow tie peeking out over the neckline. Ebullient as usual, he closed distance and leaned in to air-kiss beside either cheek in greeting.
"And very pleased to meet you properly, at last, how've you been, enjoying the party, yet? Have you met Amy and everyone?"
