WHO: OPEN
WHEN: 6/7
WHERE: Salduba Ruins, Attleton
WHAT: Dungeon crawl for a miracle cure herb requested by a sickly young girl. Hunt for it and keep it or hunt for it and turn it in for monies! (or anyone who just wants to explore a ruin)
Once the directions to the Salduba Ruins in Attleton were acquired, it took almost half the day to actually reach said ruins. Located well outside of any kind of civilization, the ruins appeared to have been once been an old foreste keep - thick vines and moss cover the high walls, though the ground is uneven, cracked in places- parts of the keep itself collapsed from attacks and one can presume, as series of earthquakes. Though nature is clearly attempting to reclaim the area over what has been built and left in this place, there are two obvious entrances to the Keep - one on the South wall and one on the North; A high arched doorway that leads into what's left of the building proper.
Once inside the keep the air will feel, smell and taste dusty and stale through minimal circulation - there's no lighting to guide your way, and the restless sound of footsteps - man or animal (or perhaps manimal). The hall branches off towards the eastern and western side of the Keep, both paths leading towards the upper and lower floors and the heart of the keep in question. But the Keep though abandoned by its original owners, is not entirely empty - one may encounter bandits, or even hostile creatures; not only that, but the halls and rooms are not the safest any longer. Each room may be booby trapped, either by the new residents or the old, and those traps may trigger at the slightest provocation. However, if you're lucky enough to survive, you might find treasures to reward your curiosity.
[ OOC: Tag into any of the four locations to explore~! Feel free to threadjack or team up with others joining in. But be caaaaaaaaareful~ ]

Keep - Eastern Side
Zeref - OTA
Zeref left a message on Silver's necklace that he would be here. Aside from, arguably, Mavis, Lucy, Suigintou, Ruby, and Ishtar, Silver was probably the closest thing Zeref had to a real ally, here, if only because Silver was one of the demons from his Books. He makes his way towards the southern entrance from the east, alone. There's a strange presence emanating from the ruins. Zeref glances down at the ground, the closer he gets to the entrance. ]
The ground has been disturbed, recently.
[ He muses. You don't live on an island like Tenroujima, which is also full of monsters, without learning to pick up on details like that, especially when
hiseveryone else's lives depend on him being able to avoid confrontations like that.Zeref passes through the archway, a little bit more on guard than he was before. Either other treasure hunters have beaten him to the punch, or these ruins are inhabited. Either way, it's clear to him that he is not here alone. ]

She's examining the floors herself, but glances over when Zeref shows up. A smile much too bright for greeting the world's deadliest wizard appears on her face. ]
Zeref! What a surprise to see you here.
no subject
I didn't expect to see you here either, Mavis. [ He visibly relaxes. He trusts a medicinal herb in Fairy Tail's hands much more than he did in his own, considering it could die - and likely be rendered useless - at a moment's notice. ]
None of the others came with you?
no subject
Eh, who needs the others? You've got me, and that's more than enough for this place.
no subject
Mavis, you're just as short and look just as young, shut up.]And who's this? [ She glances at Zeref. ] Making friends?
But no, none of Fairy Tail's members were in the building when they came by with the notice. [ They ARE a guild, so people tended to come by with fliers for missions. ] I thought I would do a little investigating.

Keep - Western Side
closed to yuri
[battler looked absolutely amazed by these ruins! so, this was going to be a real adventure... huh? seriously, he really wished he at least had some of his powers back, being able to conjure up a torch or something would be wonderful right about now.
but whatever! the redhead runs up to the ruins, touching the stone structure and looking towards the entrance.]
This'll be interesting! For sure! Ihihi~!
no subject
[ That said, Yuri's going ahead and picking up little rocks while she does. After all, she doesn't have a band of dead idiots to trigger any traps ahead of time... ]
no subject
[he has his hands in his pockets now, following behind her.]
no subject
Hey, listen, I wanted to-
[ AND THEN SUDDENLY A TRAP GETS ACTIVATED!? There's a strange rumbling sound and Yuri just. Facepalms. That sounds like...
Yep she's grabbing Battler's shirt and SHE'S GONNA RUN. ]
Come on!
no subject
[GRABBED?!] Gah!!
[okay, he's not going to protest at all, he's just going to follow her and start running madly! it's a good thing he's a big guy, LONG LEGS THIS IS EASY!!]

OTA
Whilst this seemed a great plan in theory, he had not counted on one of his feet snagging a trapped vine. The vines quickly took hold, leaving him dangling in midair.
He was failing in a rather undignified manner as he tried to free himself, but only seemed to be making the situation worse.]
This is ridiculous…!
Upper Floor
OTA
Her other advantage she didn't even seem to be bothering with. Being a ghost meant she probably could just phase through any of the traps but she didn't bother with that. No, she was making sure that she focused on keeping everything touchable because otherwise, what's the point? It's the thrill of the adventure she's after, and if she gets the treasures then it's something exciting to share with everyone. Not enough people were willing to risk their lives anymore for something like this, and though she didn't exactly have one to risk she wasn't going to hide behind it. ]
Yes~!
[ She totally just set off a booby trap though and is apparently trying to out-maneuver it. Anyone who's gotten deep enough, feel free to join her in fleeing-- whether you share her laughter and enthusiasm or not. Honestly, a chance for this and to help a little girl at the same time? Like she'd ever sit it out. ]
OTA
Hey, do you hear something?
[ About which time she's stepping around the corner to see Nanana dodging arrows. WTF man, why would you trigger a trap like that!?
Re: OTA
He did pause before that voice reached them his ears picking it up from ahead of time.]
Yeah. It's someone's voice. And it's coming closer.
[ANd then the perpetrator is found. Well this was new.]
no subject
Hello!
[ She was awfully friendly and upbeat for someone who didn't seem to be remotely bothered about being shot at. ]
no subject
Are you okay? That was really dangerous..! [ And she didn't seem the slightest bit bothered. ]

Sun Wukong | OTA
maybe some treasure too, but as always he was going to remain on the ready.]no subject
This would be so much easier if we had a better description of the herb.. the book didn't have a picture of it really.
[ And she stops short at a familiar face. ] Oh.. Sun!
no subject
That or some way to have its scent.
[Since nothing beats a dragon Slayer nose. He does pause when they run into Sun.]
Oh hey you here for the quest too?
no subject
Oh hey, it's you two. [Sun smiles at them. He wasn't expecting to bump into any familiar faces down here.]
Yep. A Faunus has got to make money. Might as well do it while helping someone out at the same time.
no subject
[ Truth, the dragonslayer's senses - especially Natsu's - were exceptional. Still, she smiled back at Sun, nodding. ]
I know what you mean. Since we're both down here, why don't we work together to find it?
[ She glanced over towards Natsu to get his opinion on the suggestion - sounds good, right? ]
