1st Portion | [Video]

[The first thing Rey did was make certain she still had all her belongings. She had her staff, the sacred Jedi texts, her bag, a few stale rations sunk to the bottom--and the hilt of the Skywalker lightsaber, severed in half.

She kept that well buried.

It didn't take her long to figure out how her newfound device worked, and she switched on the video feed, squinting skeptically into the camera.]

This doesn't look like anyplace I've ever been before. [Though that doesn't exactly narrow it down.] And nothing in this pamphlet indicates that the war is over or that it even existed.

[She lowers her eyes, giving pause before pressing onward--there was no other way to go, and if she were to be of any use to anyone, she'd have to be practical and tend to her immediate needs.]

I was informed that I would need to find a place to stay, and a means to earn my room and board. I'd rather go off any leads rather than wander about aimlessly, so if you've the need of someone good with airships or droids, even computers and the like--I've a lot of hands-on experience. I'm also an adequate pilot, if that's something that's useful here.

[Fixing the lightsaber would have to wait.]

I will assume the war you mentioned was one going on in your own world, right?

[Fai while talking was also doing some baking of sorts. He was used to having to multitask sometimes if he didn't have the time to stop and focus.]

Have you thought about looking for work in Nova City, with the skills you say you have I think you'd do well there.

It is a pity, really shows that no matter where it does happen, or there are situations that aren't necessarily good. I guess in a way all worlds have at least that bad thing in common.

As for travel there are various ways. Walking is one, but it takes forever, but you also have buses and cars that drop you off near the archways you are going to. believe there is another way but it's not coming up to me.

And that's what people should focus on, especially while they are around. [Fai had gone quiet, he and his reasons for doing so, but not something he would get into.]

I know a tiny bit. I have explored some of them myself as well. Is there something you wanted to know?

You mean how they are created? I cannot say I know how exactly. I know how people can ask for them, but not how they are made.

I believe so. I've never personally done it myself. But there are a few people who are around that have. So I believe there is something more to it like paying a price for the place, but otherwise that is it.
