1st Despair // Video/action
Video
[The feed opens to a shot of the Bay area, hologram fading having delivered its message with the racks of maps and literature clearly visible. It then tracks as the person broadcasting gives up on the Bay area and heads out into Genessia proper, and soon enough a young woman's voice provides the soundtrack alongside the general sounds of the city.]
Congratulations, Genessia. I can honestly, one hundred percent, truly say that I did not see this one coming. Denying me my own death, that takes some pretty incredible skills and I'd just love to know exactly who I have to thank for that.
[It's here that the woman stops in her stride, shop window in front of her - and thus is reflected the face of one Junko Enoshima, indistinct for the way the light hits but she either doesn't notice or doesn't care.]
And don't worry. I promise I won't waste this second chance I've been given. That really would be a waste, right?
Action
[Junko's found her way to one of Genessia's parks, and now stretches out on a bench that lets her watch the goings-on around her. Nothing like learning the people to learn a city, after all, and in a place where she doesn't know anyone it's all the more important that she figure out who might be useful to her sooner rather than later.
Of course, she can't just sit and watch, that would be boring. So occasionally, when people are walking past while seemingly not paying attention, Junko will stretch and extend her leg to try to trip them, curious to see if they'll notice in time or pay the price for their lack of attention. Or if she spots someone with a pet that has the energy, Junko will find a stick or something nearby to throw to see how pet and owner will react.
And should anyone just happen to notice the young woman sitting by herself and come over to talk, regardless of intentions? She'll lean forward, deliberately tugging down her shirt to best display her cleavage while simultaneously putting on the most innocent face and tone she can muster.]
Well, I am new around here. Did you notice and come to see if I needed help?
[All the while, the way she moves implies they came over for less savoury reasons, regardless of who they are.]

Well, I am new around here. Did you notice and come to see if I needed help?
[All the while, the way she moves implies they came over for less savoury reasons, regardless of who they are.]

private video;
[Mostly her friends she made there. Most important people. She tilted her head for a moment. She wasn't sure who what's her name was meant to imply. But she knew how to answer at least.]
You mean Hinata? [Because she knew who that guy was, but kept calling him Hinata instead. But she didn't understand really why he had been so different than when she knew him.]
I don't know what happened with him, but he isn't werid.
private video;
[Her tone has a touch of speaking to a small child whose grasp on the world isn't fully formed yet. No reason to play nice with someone who already knows better.]
That other guy, whoever he is? He's dead. He's just the empty shell they poured Izuru into. All in the name of hope.
[And excuse her while she tries not to choke on that last word. She'll deal with it, for what she might get in return.]
private video;
[She seems rather... determined of that fact. She likes to believe that somewhere in there he was still there. The first friend she ever made really.]
Even if he's changed in some ways, that is what I choose to believe.
private video;
[Ah yes, more and more it's coming back to her. Izuru was the bait she'd sent Chisa to lure Chiaki in with, after all.]
Changed would imply there was anything left of him. And for the Ultimate Hope, there was just no room for a pathetic Reserve student who didn't value his own identity enough to not throw it away first chance he got. And those guys behind the project? They were very thorough in what they did to him.
private video;
To me, he wasn't pathetic. He was Hinata. To me, he had a greater freedom to do whatever he wanted to do than someone like me who only has games. [Admitedly it made her a little sad that he might not have understood that. Talent wasn't that important.
Though she found herself pausing briefly.]
People behind the project?
private video;
Yah well, as it turns out? What you thought didn't mean a damn fuckin' thing to him. Didn't stop him volunteering himself to become Hope's Peak's ultimate fuckin' guinea pig, did it?
[And she's not going to give up too much information for nothing. Junko delivers information in her own time, in her own way.]
private video;
But she knew she really should not get into an argument about this and maybe move on. She did what she wanted to do. Showing that well she was not scared and not in despair at least. It was okay.]
Maybe that is true, but I still believe he is in there somewhere. That is my belief and nothing you will say will change that.
private video;
[It's not like this is the only route Junko has to despair. Really, she stopped giving a shit about any of Class 77-B around about the time she had to start putting her plans for her own class into action.
Sure, this one's disgustingly hopeful but she's no Makoto Naegi.]
private video;
[At least to her anyway.]
private video;
[Unlikely. She's just rubbing salt into the wound.]
Oh and yeah. Don't believe those morons who think there's no such thing as a wrong opinion. Just a little FYI for you.
private video;
[Mostly because she is pretty sure most people here haven't really died.]
Everyone has their own opinion. if it's wrong it's wrong, but I'm not going to tell someone unless there is actual evidence.
private video;
[But she's pretty sure the powers that be here wouldn't be dumb enough to bring someone like Izuru to a place like this. Entertaining as it would be if they did.]
Still won't change anything. The Hope's Peak directors were still scum who got what was coming to them.
[The fact that she enjoyed the carnage is beside the point.]
private video;
[She only really cared for those she called friends.]
private video;
[Well okay. Technically it's her fault but all she did was gather people and give them the odd nudge. The killing was all on them and the only reason she could pin it on Izuru at all was because of the directors' cover-ups so it's not like she's really lying.]
private video;
[Which was admittedly true.]
private video;
[Well okay, that's a stretch of the truth. No-one was supposed to know Izuru even existed. The fact that the Reserve Course students heard all about the very first killing game was very much engineered, if not by the directors.]
private video;
[Not that she understood why things needed to be covered up.]
private video;
[Which is almost a blessing. Junko prefers things her way, though.]
private video;
private video;
private video;
But it doesn't matter now anyway because I'm here now.
private video;
[Save for the ones who'd managed to defeat her but given the state of the world they're stepping out into, Junko doesn't think reestablishing the school will be a top priority for anyone.]
private video;
[Conaisering the girl knew pretty much nothing. She wasn't sure what to think of the whole thing. She goes quiet if only for a moment before speaking again.]
So a lot of bad things happened... I guess.
