The Library here was amazing--and Trunks may not be the type most would expect, but he actually kind of liked the building. So many books and subjects, and reading for fun was one of the few things he rarely had time to do. Not that he was entirely reading for fun now, as he's mostly browsing sections related to time travel and multi-dimensional physics...

At the Garden Park--Locked to Rose and/or Martha

Rose had asked to be taken flying, and the easiest time to meet and do so was probably during their usual meditation practice before work. Whether she'd talked to Martha or not Trunks was there as usual.

Checking on neighbors--Nova City, Heaven's Court Apts--Locked to Anastasia.

With the heatwave going on, Trunks is making it a priority to check on Ana. He's willing to also add her grocery shopping to his own, so she doesn't have to brave the heat.

Research--related to helping neighbors. Nova City, Heaven's Court Apts---Locked to Soma

Soma was the one who procured Anastasia's ruby circlet, which meant Soma was the one to talk to about how it worked. Just in case it went missing or broke. Because Trunks worried about Ana, and wanted to help, which meant understanding the tools she already head. Good thing he and Soma had gotten along; time to give the other a call.

Various shopping areas for errands

Feel free to run into Trunks at the Farmers Market in Attleton, or Pan Grocery in Genessia. Someone is the responsible adult, and actually glad to not have to scavenge for food anymore. Besides, it's good to have more supplies than not, when there are hungry half-saiyans and saiyans about. He might also be found around the Nova City Scrap Yard, or Sycamore Cycles.

Attleton--Colosseum--Various times--Locked to Bulla, Bulma/Mai/Cassian/Kaytoo/Dante.

Having a sister is an adjustment, and one usually gets ample warning--not a sudden 15 year old showing up. But Trunks is trying to learn and adjust, and Bulla has asked for training. He's not sure how much he can teach her, but he'll try. Besides, some people wanted demonstrations...

I haven't used a heating blanket in a long time. I may have to try that when I'm having a nightmare again.

[See if it helps, since she it is clearly a comfort thing in some ways. Taking the pause both to commit what she told him, and to appreciate and enjoy the iced drink.]

I wonder if it's something in the radiation and heat put off by sunlight that affects you so strongly. A 12-degree or 7-degree difference is a significant enough range of difference... Maybe once we're not having a heat-wave, and in a controlled environment, we could find out.

Not that I want to treat you like an experiment or anything. You're my friend, and I'm trying to think of how to help you be safe and comfy. Which means also by the way, I don't mind helping with errands since I already do the grocery-shopping for my family. [No way. Trunks is a boy. He can't be scared of a nightmare! You know what is scary? The idea that her natural tolerance to temperature will be experimented on.

It's very scary to feel the pain of heat as it burns away your strength and all your can think about is how hot it is as the world grows dark... While she trusts Trunks, the fear of this may be enough for her to actually refuse if asked. A fear that can be plainly seen by her widened eyes, how she shrinked away as she clutches her hands over her heart.
She won't say anything of it now, not until she hears a more...refined plan.

At his offer, she does tilt her head to the sight slightly inquisitively.]

Groceries... I'm good on groceries for this week. So maybe I'll take you up on your offer on Saturday.

[Boys can totally be scared of nightmares, and his are bad. Then again, with his life, it makes sense he'd have bad nightmares. He also is very much not the kind who'd do anything to hurt Ana, short of somehow saving her life. Which means if she doesn't want it, then nope--no testing.]

I'm honestly just thinking things through right now, and have no plans to do anything other than gather more information, Ana. I also promise, I will not hurt you, or let you be hurt while I can stop it. Not without some dire emergency to save your life, and let's hope that never comes up.

[Because she is mature, but also younger than he is, and it's important she know that. His expression is entirely serious and genuine, and he is being sure to meet her eyes.]

You've already given me useful information, and YOU as a person, are more important than anything else. I don't want to ever break that trust.

It could be, and honestly I'd be curious what a basic check up might reveal--but you should go to a doctor anyways. Not for this. This isn't a dire emergency, and I have enough information to work with. YOU are my friend, and a person. I'm sorry I made it sound like I forgot that for a moment.

[Anastasia understood it. A doctor check up for her general health and bonus points if it reveals anything of interest for Trunks regarding her physiology.

Though his assertion that she matters to him is sweet. What can she even say at this moment? This is surely what it's like to have a big brother, so what can she do to show her gratitude and appreciation?

She scoots forward a tiny bit and holds her popsicle aside, while she leans in and gives Trunks a quick and tiny little kiss on the forehead. She then scoots back into the couch and returns to her popsicle.]

[There's a blink, and then he's blushing. Not quite like how he does whenever anyone brings up he and Mai's relationship. But enough to show that he hadn't expected that. Once he gets over his surprise, there is a shy smile, and her shoulder is squeezed gently. Affectionately.]

Maybe, but I've also lost too many people I care about in life to not worry. You're my friend. I'm not used to being able to keep those...

I understand. We all lost something and will continue to lose them.

[Trunks' smile was small, and his arm is sliding gently around her shoulders to pull her in to a soft hug.]

...even if there's no threats, you could still vanish. You remember my father? He vanished from here a few days ago.

[That is true. Anastasia keeps forgetting that she could disappear as well. And as the hug came, she was a bit confused. But telling her that Vegeta was gone seemed to make sense now.
He must be hurting then if he initiated a hug, so she hugs him back.]

It's all going to be okay. I'm not going anywhere.

[It stings a little, but he's also grown up and not been around his father for the majority of his life. Vegeta isn't dead either; just no longer present in Genessia or its cities. But Trunks did feel protective of, besides just being friends with, Ana.

In some ways, he was hurting--but he'd also come to Genessia hurting based on what he'd been through in his own world. Some of these wounds just wouldn't go away so easily.]

I hope so. I am glad to have met you and count you as my friend.

[It's a short hug, all told--but affectionate and friendly, before he's letting her have space and moving back to his own seat.]

We did have a new arrival though. Apparently in one of the timelines, my parents go on to have another child, so...I have a surprise younger sister now.

That's quite exciting news. A real little sister. What is she like?
I don't have any siblings myself, so you and Mavis are the closest I have to siblings.

She's the spitting image of our mother. I'm honestly learning the rest though, as I've never had a sister before.

[He had close to a big-brother and mentor-figure, but never a sister.]

Her name is Bulla, and apparently she's been through a similar situation to what we have here before, wherein people were pulled from different timelines and worlds and brought to a location. In her prior experience, it was a military academy. I like her so far, although it'll take some getting used to for me. You should come over and meet her sometime.

[There is a hint of shy smile, but pleased, when she says she thinks of him like a sibling.]

I would absolutely be honored to be a big-brother for you. I know you can handle yourself, but I've definitely thought of you like a little sister before. Just because I have another one now, doesn't mean that'll change.
