[ General Action ]
[ After the chaos of the past few days, with the fight a few days ago, Lucy'd been staying close to the guild until the worst of her coughing had gone away. Stupid smoke inhalation. Of course while she was staying at the guild, she was getting most of her writing done. She'd set her goal for the end of the month to finish her revisions. Also, she was in the company of a little boy as she made her way around town in Fayren and Genessia. Feel free to encounter her in the city or back at the guild later in the afternoon. ]

[ OOC Feel free to have anyone run into Lucy at the guild or in town ]

[ Guild Action ]
[ And later after acquiring a few.. things from certain places, she returned to the guild with intent of evil -- or mischief at least. Also if Natsu wasn't with Justyne right now, then he might be working on the house still and could use a break. So she called for him. ]

Natsu, are you here?

[ If she ran now, he'd only catch up with her and throw her in the pool! ...well, he was probably going to do that anyway, but she was going to hold him off as long as she could! Which is why when he refilled the watergun, she darted over towards one of the few tables with a parasol for shade, pulling at it. The intent to free it from the table so she could defend herself from the impending attack. The reality? The parasol was not wanting to come free. ]

Not yet I'm not!

[ Um! Um! Oh heck with it - she tilted the whole table, parasol and all, to block him from advancing. Backing away, she placed her hands on her hips and laughed. ]

HA! Try and get me now!

[ Because that table is so clearly going to stop him? ]

{that was true and her decision to make a desperate grab for cover was in the end the best option for he as he unloaded his new shots at her just before she managed to flip the table over.]

You know turning that shield of yours into tinder is really easy for me don't you?

[He's explicitly making his tone sound more menacing than his intent is actually.]

[ T.. That was fine, just so long as he didn't use that tone that made her go all kinds of buttery. Still, even that menacing tone sent chills down her spine. She yelped, taking splash damage just as she dodged behind it, sticking her tongue out at him in defiance. ]

Eh -- Don't even think about it! We'll have to go out and buy another one, and that'll be a problem if they don't have the same kind!

[ It's... actually a poor defense since she didn't really care if one table stood out - they all stood out in the guild after all. Why not the furniture too? Ducking down behind the table though, she risked taking her eyes off of him in order to refill her water gun. ]

Why would it be a problem? Some diversity never hurt no one~

[That tone would likely come into play if he got close enough to tackle her down. However right now he was far more interested in giving Lucy the soaking she deserved so the moment she looked away he rushed at her position and kicked off of the table and into the air over Lucy. As he spun in the air he fired his shots on top of Lucy.]

[ Oh god she'd be doomed even more.

PERFECT! Refilled and ready to pl -oh crap where did her cover go? Hearing rather than seeing that kick, she ducked automatically, yelping in surprise. Poor table, it goes flying and lands in the nearest bush, rolling back and forth while Lucy stared first at it, and then at Natsu. OHGOD. ]

HIEEK! Wait, wait wait -augh!!!

[ She sputtered as he unleashed a barrage of the righteous - she used a hand to shield herself from the well deserved dousing, her other hand coming up to return fire as she moved to scramble to her feet for an escape. Wait, she was too close to really escape - ah well! FIRE! ]

[Depends on one's perspective. Speaking of perspective he had quite the front row seat to Lucy's shocked expression before he soaked her pretty thoroughly before he landed on the ground only to take her counter attack in full. Which should have set off alarms even before he lunged at Lucy since he was now taking hits on purpose which meant he had a more important goal!]

[ Maaaaaaaaaan, she was soaked totally now. Maybe she should have switched to her swimsuit before attacking him after all. Oh well. She grinned as she managed to soak him in re-- wait. She soaked him - he didn't dodge or anything. He was DELIBERATELY getting hit - and the realization left her with a slight widening of her eyes, too startled to dodge out of the way and abruptly getting lunged at by Natsu, nearly losing her grip on her watergun in the process. ]

ACk!

[Too late now. In more ways than one as he makes a lunging grab for Lucy's arms to grab her and pick her up in his arms. That would be phase one of two if she didn't evade him.]

Not so cheeky now~

[ Maybe if she had panicked less when he lunged at her like that, she might have been able to dodge better. She did make the attempt -! But he was quicker, scooping up the cheeky wizard in his arms. She kicked her legs briefly, fighting back a grin. ]

Natsu..! Put me down!

And why would I do that~?

[No really she'd have to come up with an impossibly good reason. And hopefully fast as he's already heading towards the pool with her firmly in his arms.]

[AAA AAA noooooooo. Lucy squirmed in his arms, thinking quickly as she eyed the water. ]

B.. Because.. because ....! [ Um.. UM...! ]

Because the water is cold!!

[ ...well, it might be. ]

I'll warm it up after you're in~

[Having fire dragon slayer magic was just the best thing ever at times like these]

[ Oh right. ]

Ah b-but I.. I'm uh.. not dressed for swimming!

[ Which isn't -entirely- true with the swimsuit on underneath, but maybe he'll have mercy? Maybe? ... or not. ]

I'll dry you off afterwards. You know I'm good at that~

[Another lifeline severed and now he's on the edge of the pool about to toss her in. Will someone come and save the celestial princess from the evil dragon prince?!]

[ Dangit! But she stifles a laugh at the ease he just tears through her lifelines. ]

Ah -w-wait! Um!!

[ YES! Brave Knight Neveren has finally finished filling his water gun and is sneaking up on Natsu. He'll save not-mom from the horrible, evil clutches of the dragon prince! Maybe while Natsu is occupied with keeping Lucy in his arms, he won't notice Neveren taking aim and shooting water at the back of his head!

HAVE AT YOU EVIL DRAGON. ]

[He knows she's fighting amusement and more or less losing that fight. He's not releasing her but his attention is entirely on Lucy so Neveren actually manages to get a shot in behind him making him reflexively tuck his head in while still holding Lucy.]

Oh you've done it now~

[ Uhoh. Lucy may be in trouble here. Or Neveren was. Well - she was already in trouble with him on the verge of throwing her in the water. But you know what - You only live once! Smothering a soft chuckle, she turned her attention to the younger boy to shout encouragement. ]

Neveren! You found his weak spot, get him again while he's distracted!

[ Heads up Natsu, Neveren's gonna take aim and shootshootshoot his water gun again! THis time aiming at his back~! ]

Do that again and she's going in the pool~

[Then again she was going in the pool anyway even if Nev did it again or not. He was going to soak all of them at the end of this play session.]

[ Ohoh! Neveren actually stops for a second, hesitating and glancing at Lucy, a bit unsure. Lucy shakes her head. ]

Don't listen to him Nev! I'm done for already - but at least you can get in a shot still! Don't give in to the ways of the evil dragon!

[ Her voice wavers slightly on the last two words, choking back a giggle. Neveren, bolstered by the words of encouragement, hedges for a second more and finally lets fire again! YARRR! ]

[Oh she was crafty. Then again he knew she had this streak in her. WHich is why he takes the hit again and makes a step into the pool still balancing on one leg just to act it up while pretend howling in pain]

[ It's the pretend-howling in pain that nearly makes her lose her act, biting her lower lip to keep from bursting out laughing. He was such a ham.

Neveren seemed to be getting into his role, though at first he thought the pretend-howl was genuine. ]

It's over for you, dragon! You won't kidnap anymore princesses on my watch!

[ Nev boasted as mightily as he could, Maybe Lucy shouldn't tell him so many fairy tale (vs. Fairy Tail *koff*) stories about knights and princesses and dragons from the library.) But as he unleashed squirt after squirt from his water gun, Lucy dramatically reached out in his direction. ]

You fought bravely, Sir Neveren! I have no regrets!

[ .. that's right Natsu. SHE REGRETS NOTHING. ]

[His lips curved into a victorious smirk after Neveren's words. It was so big even his fangs were showing from the side.]

Heh too bad for you. She's the last one I want anyway. So it's still my win!

[He roars and pretends to fall with Lucy into the pool]

[ Hoboy that smirk. At his final words and roar, she lets out a melodramatic "Kyaaaah!!" as both dragon and princess are sacrificed to the watery depths of the pool and .. and Lucy was right! It -was- kinda cold. At least at first. ]

[ Victorious - though not sure he could really call it a win when the dragon and princess both fell into the 'unforgiving' pool, Nev crept to the edge and peered over the edge. Juuuuuust to make sure it wasn't some devious plan of escape! ]

[He closes his mouth just before his head goes under and while he does let go of LUcy he takes the moment of turbulent waters to hold Lucy's cheeks in place and crushes his lips to hers in a quick peck before pulling away with a smirk.]

[ The shock of the cold of the water makes her shiver briefly, but before she can make for the surface she's captured again -! And.. oh goodness, even though the contact of his lips is brief it still manages to send a shiver through her, warmth following in her cheeks. She breaks the surface with a gasp, pushing wet hair out of her face and a grin that felt too big for her face on her lips.

Neveren, paying no mind to Lucy's flushed face, crouched at the edge of the pool with a grin at his not-dad. ]

That was a really big splash, Natsu! I didn't really hurt you right?

[ Nah, course not. A piddling water gun was no match for the awesome dragon! ]
