The last time she heard about bunnies was the offspring of a Witch saying she reminded them of one...one that they killed. And then another. And then another. And they were going to kill Maka just like they killed the bunnies. Yeah judging by the look on her face, Rukia may as well have said "let me stab you, it'll be fun!"]

[Arietta is not one to chat with strangers, but at the word pet, she perks up. She has been bored and lonely, living alone. Maybe a pet would liven things up.]

[OOC: Satori and I might have some overlapping action between our posts. This is intentional and was written by both of us for the purposes of improving banter between the sisters.]

Just as Rukia was arriving at the pet store she caught the sound of quickened footsteps behind her. A pair of heavy boots and a pair of not-so-heavy boots moving quickly toward her. They belonged to the Komeiji sisters the younger of whom, upon hearing about a pet shop, had dragged her sister out the door and into the harsh and scary world that was... outside.

"Siiis! Come on! The little device said 'pet shop' so we should get some pets! You're bored all day home alone! The walls can't be THAT interesting. You should get a pet or twelve!"

Currently Koishi was, quite literally, dragging Satori along, holding tightly to her hand. In addition, a blue tendril extended from the younger girl's sleeve, wrapping its way up and around her arm, stopping at the shoulder, ensuring the older girl could not easily get out of the (forced) adventure.

Koishi stopped without warning upon seeing Rukia, stumbling forward as Satori collided with her back, using her other hand to catch her hat.

"Sis! It's the lady on the moving screen! She's the one who wanted the pet!"

Yes, Satori was interested in various pets. Yes, she felt lonely. But, sadly, she should've expected Koishi to pull her down here after mentioning either of those things together. "Please, slow down...do you have any idea how much strain such a public place takes on my mind?"

Satori, of course, was able to pick up the surface thoughts of everyone around her, as well, including the pets. Their simpler minds were calming, more of a background noise if anything. Many of them seemed rather lonely, she had to admit, as it reminded her of her own pets at home.

The elder sister tried to pull from her sister's iron grip only to bump against her as Koishi suddenly stopped, pointing out the young woman... "I'm very much aware of that, Koishi." She turned to watch Rukia, as did her third eye, focusing in on her surface thoughts an attempt discern a more exact sort of pet-related problem, as well as her preferences for such things.

Silently, she whispered to her playful little sister... "...If you'd like a pet, why don't you go look around for some interesting pets while I deal with this?" She paused a moment and said, rather seriously... "Please don't do anything too outlandish and ridiculous around these poor pets, they're already very distressed."

Once Koishi was (hopefully) settled, Satori addressed Rukia directly... "While I'm not familiar with this place, I'm rather good with animals. I'm sure at least one animal here would be glad to have a new home for itself, don't you agree?" That might serve as a good ice-breaker for conversing with someone who, according to observations, came here with a desire to be among cute animals.

Just give Rukia a moment here to try and process this. She had asked anyone if they would accompany her, and everyone was welcome, but the one shouting... she just had so much energy! The Shinigami cleared her throat, nodding before she spoke up.

"Yes... well... I'm not too sure we can take the animals out of the gateway, so I figured at least staying here and playing with them awhile would do!"

She glanced back and forth at the both of them, "but I'm to see people so excited about this!"
