Okay, I need something to occupy my brain before the boredom of the paperwork makes me shoot myself in the foot. What have you guys got planned for the month of spooks? I'm usually working the most during October, so the change of pace here has been weird to get used to.

Aizawa mentioned a couple of people from his world showed up so I figured I'd introduce myself. I'm Dante, current guardian of Attleton, and I don't know what Aizawa has said about me or what I can do but, I'm no hero. I'm no villain either, but the idea of being a hero doesn't really sit well with me.

[Dante can be found at his shop behind a mountain of paperwork as he works on proposals and all for the Colosseum project. However, upon hearing someone approaching he will glance up from his paperwork.]

So--since this will hopefully make up for you not realizing I was a full adult--because I have a stupid question. Blame it on my upbringing.

Why is October the month of spooks? I keep hearing chatter and rumors--but---well, growing up in a near apocalypse and then having an apocalypse...

...You poor soul, you've never had Halloween. It's a holiday that was originally a pagan marking of the seasons or something, when they claimed that the barrier between the mortal realm and the spirit realm was the weakest - bullshit by the way.

Over time, the pagan traditions got forgotten and it became a time for kids to dress up in costumes and get free candy while adults dress up in costumes of the generally more risque variety and drink themselves stupid.

Far as I know we don't have anything like that. At least not that I've encountered although Goku or my mother might know more. Goku's also been to the world of the Kai before, so've I--although we were a bit focused on stopping an evil wizard and his demon-king minion. Then again, Goku's also been to the spirit world many times.

"Actually..." It was Sakuya's voice. The maid drifted up, reaching up and over the paperwork and placing a strawberry sundae down in front of Dante. She drifted to the side and and around until she was next to him, hands folded neatly over her apron. She was here for the day's training.

"Paperwork is quite dull. It is important to work at a steady, careful pace. Do not burn yourself out, Dante."

Dante stares at Sakuya for a long moment before snatching up the sundae and leaning back in his chair.

"If only you could make ice cream out of booze..." He sighs and takes a bite. "Indeed it is, and I didn't realize the mayor's office had so many forms for this shit. I just wanted to make gambling legal, why do I have to have a forest chopped up for it?"

"I thought your demon blood ensured you could not get drunk." She slid over, leaning lightly against the edge of his desk. "However, I will see what I can do. Mayhaps I can find something that rivals the oni sake back home."

Or Dante could, you know, just go to Chireiden.

"You have dented the project at the very least. For one working within the walls of time you are making swift progress."

She feels lucky to have Dante in her life, but with her work as Deputy keeping her busy, it's been some time she visited his shop. Not one to use doors, Ayame slips herself out of a cleft in space, smiling and waving at Dante. ]

[ She giggles. She's completely sober, though. Ayame is just comfortable in his company now to actually show more humor. ]

I don't have those, but I brought you some treats nonetheless.

[ Knowing he'll be busy, she brought him some pizza from the New York subarchway, that she shows in her other hand as she slips herself out entirely from the portal. ]

Compared to the shit that happens in my world, this place is tame. In my world, every wannabe witch and wizard, and every kid with a Quijia board starts trying to summon demons they can't control and I'm run ragged as a result.
