The videophone is an unusual device, but Ejava has used stranger First Age artifacts before, and with the instructions included in the pamphlet, it proves easy enough to operate.]

Who are the local authorities? What dangers threaten this land's mortals?

Local authorities I believe are the Guardians of each of the cities that are around. So there should be five people. Adding to that there might be deputies to each of these places rises the numbers a bit.

As for dangers, well there was this one guy who blew up the hospital just last months, so I guess he's a danger.

How are Guardians selected? What are the local gods like? [As surprising as the question may be, it seems perfectly natural to her. In Creation every river and mountain has its own god, and it's often the job of the Exalted to keep them doing their job and prevent them from overstepping their bounds.]

Tell me more about the perpetrator of the bombing.

I'm not quite sure how Guardians are selected honestly. I guess people just step up to the job if they think they are good enough.

[Though he does look a little confused.]

There are no gods that I am aware of either. [And once again he didn't know much about who did the bombing.]

Well... I just recall the fact it was a male. No one really knows who did it. I think.

If there are no gods, who tends to your rivers and forests?

From what I can gather usually those who can pretty much protect and know how to rule take up the position. I guess it could be because they would have a lot to do.

Well with water they grow. I believe they also take in sunlight. That's how it works. It has a name for what it does as well.

Water and sunlight are needed for most plants in Creation as well. It is a curiosity that the plants here grow without Wood Essence or little-gods directing them. Were I a scientist, I would investigate, but let us return to practical matters.

[let's not get deep enough into this that I have to start wondering how the hell she can even breathe in a world made of atoms instead of motes of Essence]

Where can I find the identities of the current City Guardians?

Where? I guess by actually going to each city and finding out there. I'm sure the people there after all would know of them.

The lack of a central information repository for such an important matter would seem an obvious flaw.
