Failed Anon Post (thank that computer virus) Day 2 of virus
Follow-up to that guy asking about lamps. What is an actually GOOD present to give women instead? And not a cliche, so nothing like flowers or chocolates. But still gets across romantic intentions. First chucklefuck to suggest condoms gets thrown in the lake until it freezes over. Romantic, not dipshit. Also how soon is too soon to call? Like seriously.
Asking for a friend.
Unrelated, if someone was going to run for a Guardian position, what would you want from them other than experience, strength, and competency? Is being good with a people always a prerequisite, or is that just what makes you popular?
Also asking for a friend.
[The friend is probably him both times :\]

not even trying at anon;
Figure out what she likes. What she's into. Show that you're actually genuinely paying attention to what she says.
Jewelry can be good if she's into that.
more failed anon
She's also classier than material things.
And just because she has a motorcycle doesn't mean motorcycle parts is ever an acceptable thing. To give a woman. Romantically.
no subject
Just sayin.
But if you know what she's into, you should be able to figure it out.
Can always send her to Amatsu for relaxing. Ayame's service is A+.

*Yay. Good luck with that. But he also doesn't even know how much it is a gift for her to see him so concerned about getting her a gift in the first place*

Text
I'm sorry to bother you. My name is Satou Kuroneko. I'm a Deputy Guardian in Attleton, and part of Everglade PD. I can't say for certain what the requirements are... But I think what's most important is trust and competence. You can always call upon your Deputies to increase your experience or strength pools, but you can't do that if you can't be trusted by them.
Text
The thing about trust is that it's granted either through personal experience, desperation, or naivete. I spent my whole childhood and early career ads captain in one town, and the city never wanted to trust me because they'd rather do business with pirates, or worse, wannabe pirate posers. I don't mind proving myself, even starting fresh, but it's nearly impossible to prove oneself on unwritten or antithetical criteria.
So if the election debates were tomorrow, you'd ask about the deputies instead?
no subject
But you're right: Trust takes time to earn. If you aren't always out on the move, it's hard to earn it. And with how relatively peaceful things have been, there haven't been many chances to "earn" it.
So... Yes. I would want to know what kind of Deputies you have in mind. Who YOU trust says a lot about you, right? You seemed to think differently of that city because they had 'trust' in pirates, so... Mm. Who do you have in mind? Anyone yet?

Your second question is tricky, since anything I'd add to the list would make the candidate uninterested in candidacy.

[Well, if he does go the route of flowers... it may not be beautiful but he can say he tried.]
no subject
How the two connect I'll never know. I just meant that, being a frivolous position, the more virtues one had, the less they'd like it.

Flowers and chocolates are a classic for a reason, you know. But if you want something different and know her size in clothing, you can always get her a nice dress with a note saying you'd love to take her out somewhere nice while she's wearing it.

Glad to see you're doing all right there kiddo.

Okay, what kind? Rings are too much. Bracelets get tangled and are synonymous with handcuffs in my world, so that leaves chokers? Earrings?
