8th Campaign [Video] / [Action] Backdated August 7th
[At roughtly 9 am, a young woman adorn in white appears in the feed, with a rather smug smile upon her features.]
Denizens of Genessia. Though it is behind schedule, the time is finally right to present the project I have been working on.
[The ground in the northwest region of Genessia City trembles. The shaking is strongest around the area of 12th and 13th street, though thankfully not enough to make buildings collapse. Anyone who has passed by the area before would have noticed a wall keeping civilians out, but what is in place now is absolutely nothing like what had been seen just the evening before:

What appears to be (from the outside) some sort of Colosseum stands in the area of Genessia city, atop a three story high asphalt hill.]
The construction of the school is nearly complete! I invite interested parties to meet at 12th and Hawthorne for a tour of what was formerly to be called Wily Academy, but now goes by the name of Second Honnouji Academy, located in Genessia City!
For those who do not know of me, I am Satsuki Kiryuin, Deputy Guardian of Nova City. Several months ago I had expressed my desire to bring students together in hopes of achieving unification. Unification so that we may work together as a productive, disciplined and motivated culture.
[The young woman's eyes narrow.]
However, following the calamity of Genessia City a mere two months ago, I have noticed that many have found themselves troubled by their self-perceived shortcomings. Therefore this Academy shall also become half Military Academy, to mold those that view themselves as 'useless' to become dutiful and organized emergency respondents.
Just so I am clear, those that arrive for the tour are not automatically considered enrolled in this academy. This is an opportunity to see what I have to offer, and obtain even more feedback- though based on the surveys many of you have filled out, I am confident that nearly everyone's needs should be met. I am also willing to answer any questions you may have, of course.
The tour will start at 1pm sharp and is estimated to be roughly 60 minutes long for the twelve floors.

[Action]
[Satsuki sounds impressed; but what actually brings a smile to her face is the question that follows. This boy may have potential. But it doesn't last long as she speaks again.]
Certainly. Near the end of July a demon, presumably one of our own, demonstarted a devestating wave of power upon this city. With but a thought he made fire and lightning rain from the sky and manipulated the smoke to change the sky's color color. While many lives were saved, nearly the entire city was seriously damaged.
[Her brows furrow.]
What bothered me was the chaos he so easily manipulated; Genessia as a whole does not act efficiently and he took full advantage of that.
The perpetrator goes by the name of 'Lucifer' and, unfortunately, he is still at large.
[Satsuki isn't really the best storyteller, her explaination comes off more like a report.]
[Action]
Meaning that, again, the mention of a demon makes him exceptionally uncomfortable. His face pales slightly and he swallows, just the slightest fidget as he glances away from her.]
M-Mr. Vyers told me about him..
[The frown grows and he shifts his weight again. He's supposed to be making a good impression and this has gone downhill very quickly.]
I don't think I could help much if something like that happened again.
[Action]
No, what actually makes the bad impression is his lack apparent lack of determination. She defeats her urge to scold him.]
Is that so? And why do you feel that way?
Re: [Action]
[Luke sighs quietly.]
It seems like people have to fight here a lot. And...well. I've learnt that Lucifer is the devil where I'm from. Which would mean that he isn't human. And if he isn't human then...
[Satsuki is such a strong presence Luke is ashamed to admit it, yet at the same time he feels that there's no use in attempting to hide it.]
Those sorts of things are a little bit scary, don't you think?
[Action]
[She's heard it a number of times, but her snort is one of amusement. ]
I expected better of you, Luke; this is the one puzzle you find yourself unable to solve? You of all people should know that fists are not the only tools used to fix problems.
[Well, so much for not scolding. But after a moment her shoulders appear to relax.]
But you are correct; it is a frightening, nonsensical scenario. The trick is to gather what you can understand then work your way from there. I plan to teach part of that technique here.
Re: [Action]
He frowns, but takes her scolding in a way she might not have intended: as a challenge.]
It's better to plan so we don't have to fight at all! We should be defending first. Not everyone can be good at fighting!
And if we're planning ways to keep ourselves safe I want to help however I can! I can't fight but I can help strategize! I'm plenty smart for that at least. I am the great Professor Layton's apprentice, after all!
[Gentlemen don't brag, Luke.]
And if we...understand a bit more maybe it wouldn't be so scary.
[Action]
She quite likes him.]
Really.. I am starting to envy this 'Professor Layton' if that is the case- But assuming he is not present, then I would like to make an offer to you.
For better or for worse, you have told me exactly what I want to hear, Luke. You are young, but the potential within you to become someone great shines bright right now.
I will grant you the opportunity to train to become my assistant and, eventually, an advisor.
[The second part, honestly, is some ways away but she's confident he'll eat that right up.]
[Action] He doesn't want to offend her but he's LAYTON'S APPRENTICE FIRST XD;;;
[Luke smiles at the offer, and while it is wide and earnest there is a sense of hesitation in his eyes. Uncertainty.]
I would really like to help, Miss Kiryuin. I would be honored to be your assistant. But I'm still the Professor's apprentice no matter where I am!
[Little hands clench into fists at his side.]
But I have to stay the Professor's apprentice, too. Just...on holiday, maybe.
Is that all right with you?
[Luke is honestly afraid of offending her, but at the same time he has so much of himself emotionally invested in being Layton's apprentice that it is a title and position he simply can't let go--especially not when so much has changed around him and he's been taken away from home.]
[Action]
[Satsuki's under the assumption said Professor is a teacher of sorts, so being on good terms with Luke would, in theory, place her on good terms with the other man should he arrive. Spreading that network.
And besides, she'd rather have dibs then someone else.]
Though you do not have to decide right away; I quite easily remember my first days here in Genessia and how much there is to take in and investigate. Just keep in mind that I do have much to do, so I cannot wait longer than a week.
[Action] One day he will pretend to be Satsuki like he is pretending to be Layton in this icon
[He peers up at her
because he's what, three inches tall?and smiles weakly.] I want to help you.I just want to stay the Professor's apprentice, too.
[Rocking on his feet in that sort of way that only a child can do without looking ridiculous, he stands a smidgen straighter and ensures his hat isn't crooked.]
I'm..happy to have something important to do that will help, Miss Kiryuin.
[Action] Note to self: Get a sword for Luke??
Hmph. Very well, I find that acceptable.
However, for consistancy's sake, I will need to test your skills. My office is stationed in Nova City; it is easy to get lost in such a technologically advanced city, so I will have a ride arranged for you to meet me at ten hundred hours two days from today.
Is this acceptable?
[Action] Yes but it has to be taller than he is. He will be 100% "idek what do"
Okay! Two days from today, at ten o'clock. I can do that!
[Really, what else is on his schedule? Figure out what he's doing with himself, really.]
What do I need to do to study, Miss Kiryuin?
[Action] X)
[If Luke ever gets the impression he'll be involved in a lot of busywork, now is the time.]
[Action] =D she gets the world's most enthusiastic assistant ever. "File those papers!" "OKAY =D"
I'm very good at those things, Miss Kiryuin.
[Action] X)
[Though how Luke is going to fit in with this others is going to certainly be a puzzle in itself. Yikes.]
Then I shall be on my way for the time being. See you soon, unless you have any other questions.
[If not, then she'll see him during the tour.
(OOC: This may be a little messy, but feel free to comment on any floor of interest to Luke or handwave completing if you prefer!)]
