WHO: Sun and Blake
WHEN: 9/30
WHERE: Various places.
WHAT: Going out on a date!
WARNINGS: None so far. Will update if there are any.

Now that Sun was all dressed up in his outfit, he was ready to go. But not before checking himself one final time in the mirror to make sure everything was straight. It felt weird being somewhat dressy. This was more so Neptune’s thing than his own. If he was here, Sun was certain it would have been him dragging Sun out to get some nice looking clothes.

But he hadn’t seen the guy in nearly a year at this point. The same for the rest of his team, which bummed Sun out a lot. But, he had a date with Blake tonight, and this was the high point of his time here. He smoothed his jacket out and then left his apartment and went right next door to knock on Team RWBY’s apartment door.

The butterflies in his stomach just wouldn't settle down. But he tried to remember what Yang said about being his normal self.

"Be cool, Sun. Just be cool."

Blinking, she reached out and carefully lifted it a bit as it lowered down. Sure, she might of been hovering her hand a little too close to his rear but she liked seeing his tail happy since it usually indicated a happy Sun. "It's cute." She said simply.

Glancing back up at him, she gave a sheepish shrug and motioned up towards her ears. "They give away my mood sometimes. At least when I was younger. I'd have to make sure my bow never twitched when something caught my attention and if caught, chalked it up to the wind or denied it."

"What's worse--" She leaned a little closer to him, playfully lowering her voice in a whisper. "--I sometimes purr. That's a lot harder to control."

“People have no idea just how much we have to control our ears and tails sometimes.” He said with a little amusement in his tone. It was nice to know he wasn’t the only one cursed with an appendage that liked to have a mind of its own.

One benefit to being a monkey Faunus, he didn’t have to worry about the whole purring thing. Sun smiled pretty wide at her divulging that secret, though. That was something he would like to test out at some point. Just to see how true her words really were.

“I bet. But..” He leans a little closer now “What makes you purr the most?” He wasn’t asking for any real reason, at least that’s what he would say if she questioned why he wanted to know.

"Nope. They certainly tend to have a mind of their own." She returned with just as much amusement. It was nice to talk to someone about something they both physically shared that made them who they were. An odd sort of connection that only they, and others like them, would truly know.

Thinking on that, she realized that it certainly hand been a while since she really had purred. A long while actually... "Probably having my head scratched. It's been so long I almost wonder if I even remember how to." She lamented with a small shrug. "I catch myself very rarely nearly attempting but stop myself. Simple things, really, as silly as it is, like a warm bath or a particularly warm patch of sunlight from the windows."

"You're lucky you don't have to deal with that, huh?"

Sun was tempted to scratch her head, but that felt like something that should be done in private as opposed to blatantly out in public. And he didn’t want to embarrass her. At least not with something like that.

“I think I am going to make it my goal to have you purr before the night is out.” He says with a little nod. How he would accomplish it, he didn’t know. But he would find some way to do it.

“I am. Though I don’t have that extra sensitive hearing like you do but..I think not purring is a good trade off for that. At least for me. You have no idea how much my team wouldn’t let me live it down if they randomly heard me purring.” There would be so much teasing. Even if it was just Neptune that heard it, he knew it would somehow get to Scarlet and then to Sage.

Quirking her eyebrow, she faced forward with a small laugh. "Out of context that sounds rather risque you know." She teased. But, finding out if she could indeed still purr was still a kind gesture in itself. Since arriving, she hadn't felt there would ever be a time she'd be that comfortable again.

With her free hand, she tried to hide a laugh behind her fingertips at that. A purring Sun would be strange but, at least his climbing abilities more than made up for it. Plus he was quick, a skilled fighter and probably far too kind for his own good. "At least we always have our eyesight. Although now I guess..." She trailed off in thought. Should she play up to that risque sentence of his? Probably. "..I guess I'll have to see if you make any noises before the night's over."

Sun’s face might have turned a tinge bit of red at her pointing out how risqué his words had been. He meant them pretty innocently, but really..he should have been more mindful of his word choice. At least she didn’t seem to take any offense to it. The red might have gotten a little more intense when she added the thing about him making noises too.

“I guess you will. I can’t promise that I will make any though.” He flashed her a little playful smile. They did have their eyesight, something that was a huge asset for any Faunus. It was the sort of thing that could win wars. “But don’t let that stop you from attempting to make me make some.”

As they came up to the Tokyo sub-archway, he looked ahead to it. “We are here. Are you ready to go in?”

At that she gave just the smallest of pouts but still gave his hand an affectionate squeeze. "Well, if you say you don't then I guess the experiment ends prematurely." She teased before turning her head to look at the archway.

Stopping for a moment, mostly because it was a new experience still, these odd archways, she gave a nod and collected herself but might of stepped a little closer to Sun for that extra feel of protection.

"Mmhm. Ready."

He steps through the archway and pulls her along. And when their they set foot on the other side, they are in the sprawling city of Tokyo. Massive and lively, the city looks like it goes on forever. Sun wasn’t sure if it did, since he didn’t venture entirely too far into it. There was a lot of ground to cover and without some sort of vehicle, he knew he was sure to tire himself out.

“You don’t mind a bit of walking, do you?” Maybe he should have told her to wear some more comfortable shoes.

She's still a little worried which is betrayed easily by the twitch of her ears on her head but once she stepped on the other side and saw the vast expansion of the city, she couldn't help but merely stare in awe of it's marvel. Was this place really real? It was some kind of metropolitan dream if ever she saw it. Buildings as far as her eyes could see with bright lights that did indeed attract her, being cat and all.

"No, no not at all." She did do her combating in heels. Something her and Weiss could probably agree upon.

"This- this is really a real place?" She asked as she tore her eyes away from it for the moment to look back up at Sun.

An impressive feat to be sure. Sun didn’t know how the girls managed it. If he tried, he was certain he would snap an ankle or something awful like that. “Yep. This place is completely real. It exists in other worlds.”

He took a few steps forward, tugging her along with him.”I spoke to a woman named Mamizou when I first found out about this place. She told me it exists in her world, though she hadn’t really been or spent much time in the city. There are a lot of neat things here. I heard there is a bit of good literature.” Sun was certain that was something that might pique Blake’s curiosity.

Always the ladies' man, Sun. She continued to look up and around at everything. Lights flashing, music playing that caught her attention with occasional twitches of her ears. This was better than any club on the seedy side of Vale where Yang had gone to but still rather captivating if a little overwhelming.

"Wow. I'll certainly have to keep coming back here just to see everything. So many buildings so close together. This place is odd but- rather beautiful." She said as she carefully followed close to him as he led her. The promise of a good read did indeed pique her interest and she did make a mental note of it to try and find out just where something like that might be.

"Does it always seem this busy?"

He wasn’t trying to be. The girl had just been nice enough to give Sun info on the place when he asked about it.

“It was when I was here before. I’m guessing it might just be a common thing for this place.” He hadn’t come here at night, so if it had a busy night life, then he didn’t know about.

“It’s an interesting place, though. I want to explore it more when I get the chance to and see all that there is to see.” They had enough time here to do that much.

"I wouldn't be surprised with how it looks." She looked from one thing to the next then back up to him, still rather excited that some place like this could even be real. It was like stepping in to a story.

"Be sure to let me know if you do find anything. I'll be sure to do the same, of course whenever I come here again." She said happily to him before she looked back around. Even the smells from the cookeries were interesting and if anything, she certainly smelled a lot of fish and a lot of beef.

Sun might have teased Blake if he knew she was picking up on the scent of the fish in the air. But he himself was a bit attuned to the scent of freshly cut fruit. His tail perked up a bit when he saw how happy she looked right now. It was what he had been hoping for when he decided that he would bring her here.

“It’s a promise. Just don’t start spending your entire night in a place like this and go without sleep.”

"Well, you said it, I guess I'm going to have to see how far I can push that then." A defiance, maybe, but in a city like Tokyo, it was going to be hard not to want to just get lost, look around and be in awe of the wonders that were attached with it.

If he ever wanted to really see her ears at work, now was surely the time. They perked, twitched and folded back occasionally to hear the sounds behind her. When she would look at something rather colorful, they twitched and stood high on her head, ever alert.

Sun smiles pretty big when he sees her ears fast at work twitching to hear all the sounds better. So they really did move like that. He was pretty sure she wasn’t aware that she was even doing that. He looks away from her and then looks around a bit. There did seem to be quite a bit going on, even as they walked along. No weird looks were tossed their way. It was as if they were just two normal humans walking along hand and hand.

"Is this what it's like to be normal? No stares, especially judgmental ones, and no real threat lingering?" She asked as the continued on their walk to wherever he was leading her. For the comfort she felt alone, it was reason enough to want to fight for it back home. To have no need of the current way of the White Fang and to just be in peace and acceptance.

"I still think I'm going to wake up sometime soon. This feels far too much like a dream than for it to be really happening."

"From what my experience has been? Yes. You will meet the odd person that might be curious about your ears, but no one shows any disgust or anything." At least not that he had seen.

"It's a pretty wonderful feeling, isn't it?" Their would would be a different place if life was like this.

"Mm. I did meet someone like that in the library. He seemed more curious about their functionality and- touching them than anything. He was nice about it so, I let him. I hadn't done that...in forever but he said 'I don't think people should look down on' us. He made me realize that the White Fang, Humans, Faunus', we're all scared. And sometimes scared people do bad things but hopefully we'll learn from that." At least, that would be ideal. The life here would of been ideal back at home. No strange looks, no reason to hide, no reason to wish people would see her as just Blake.

"It really is a wonderful feeling. I admit I am growing in love with it."

“Welcome to the club.” This was one reason why Sun is going to hate it when it comes time to leave this place. He would miss this sort of thing, if he even remembered being here. At least he could have a feeling somewhat like this with his friends. They never judged him or anything. And as they walked along, someone’s dog got off of its leash and came right over to Sun and Blake and started barking at them.

Mostly it was barking at Blake, but its tail was wagging playfully and it meant no sort of harm.

About to reply to him, her ears perked high on her head while her eyes went a bit wide with, slight, fear.

Gasping when the, mostly, harmless looking dog came over to the, yapping, Blake was quick to tense up. The more it continued the more her ears fell back against her head while backing up and circling around Sun as the dog chased her.

Nope that wouldn't do. She tried to shoo it away but it kept following her, barking and yapping. She made a drastic decision and grabbed a hold of Sun's shoulders, hoisting herself up practically in to his arms to try to get away from it. "H-Help...!"

Now this…this was a curious sight. Blake was running from a dog. A dog that didn’t seem vicious or mean or anything. The huntress Blake, the one who jumped fearlessly into a fight with the White Fang was running from a dog. He quickly placed his arms out to hold her up as she hoisted herself up on him. He was trying his hardest not to laugh at her, as she seemed pretty distressed right now.

“Blake..It’s just..I think he wants to play with you.” He looked down at the dog that had just been chasing her in circles around him.

Shaking her head, she gripped his shoulders a bit more before practically wrapping them around his head to try and climb up higher to his shoulders.

"No, no it doesn't..! Dogs have always hated me or always just bark and bark and bark at me." She pouted and buried her face on his neck with her ears folded back against her head trying to hide. "Don't let it come near me..!"

“I won’t, I won’t.” Sun nudged the dog a little with his foot, keeping his balance while holding Blake. “Sorry, fella. She doesn’t feel like playing right now. Go on back to your owner, they must be worried about you.” If only Torchwick knew about this. To deter Blake from coming after him and attacking him, all he needed to do was employ an army of dogs to keep her at bay.

Peeking up from his neck and up at him, not wanting to really see the dog with a frown. "Is it gone?"

Braving the moment, she looked over her shoulder and around the street to make sure it was safe or at least hoping it was safe enough.

"I don't get why they insist on trying to chase me."
