1st Lie [Video]
[People of Genessia. You wake up to this dashing face on your phone this morning. He's just kind of sitting on the edge of his little pod in the Bay.]
Jeez. Go figure you get a fancy pod like that and the first thing they cheap out on is the bed. Anyone else have a weird pain in their shoulder when they woke up?
Anyways, read the pamphlet, nice touch by the way, and figures I should get right down to business.
The names Alvin, Back where I'm from I'm a mercenary. I figure i'll just keep doing that here, so if you have any jobs that need to be done, just give me a call and they'll be done. For the right price of course.

I pay very well for discretion.
[Private Text]
Oh? I take it you have something in mind?

I'm in, send me the details whenever.
[Private Text]
And I don't think I need to mention that this conversation between us never happened?
[Private Text]
Of course, employer/employee confidentiality and all that jazz.
Oh, Alvin, I'm sorry to inform you but I've already offered my services as a mercenary here. I'm afraid what you're doing is what you humans call "muscling in on my territory."
[She should sound more playful when she says that, but she doesn't.]
Is that so? Is the great and powerful Lord of Spirits trying to use the skills I taught her against me? I'm a little hurt.
[He doesn't sound hurt at all.]
I'm all for a little friendly competition if that's how you're going to play.
Re: [Video]
Why does it always sound like she's laughing at a dumb puppy then?]
I'm sure we can come to some sort of agreement and work together. It would be far more advantageous if we did. Besides, your skills as a mercenary aren't to be taken lightly - it would be exhausting one-upping you all the time.
Right, of course. I guess it would be a little rude to run you ragged. I wouldn't want my favourite spirit to get all tuckered out, now would I?
I suppose we could work together on a few jobs here and there.
Re: [Video]
But that does sound agreeable. I look forward to working with you.
I'll try not to disappoint you.
[Spoiler alert: He probably will.]

[Yang smiles, arms folded.]
What kind of jobs did you do? Not hiring, just curious.

Oh a little of this and that, you know. Monster hunting, item collection, I've done some intelligence work here and there. I've also done some protection work here and there.
Pretty standard mercenary work if I do say so myself.

[He doesn't seem THAT old.]
no subject
Well normally I wouldn't tell anyone this, but I like you so if you must know I've been helping my family out with this kind of work since I was about six.
no subject
Pretty young.
[Too young, in her opinion.]
Well, let me know if you need any help settling in. I'm Yang, by the way.
no subject
[Rejected so soon? He must be losing his touch.]
Alright, same goes to you. If you need anything don't hesitate to call the mercenary with a heart of gold.
Or you can call me Alvin if you want something that rolls off the tongue a little easier.
no subject
I think I'll stick with Alvin.
[Yang grins. She might actually have something for him, but she'd like to get to know him better first before taking a gamble, make sure he's trustworthy.

[Orihime's actually kind of impressed. Over the past three years, she's seen people react far more vehemently, so his calm acceptance of the situation is definitely rare.]
Do you need any help?
no subject
[It's not like it's been twenty years since he last saw his own world or anything. Nope not at all.]
Well you could point me in the direction of the nearest restaurant, I'd really appreciate it.
no subject
[She knuckles her chin thoughtfully.]
Do you like pizza? There's an Italian place that isn't too far from where you are.
no subject
Sure, that sounds good to me.
If you'd like to join me, feel free. I don't exactly know anyone around here yet.

[There's a small part of her that wants to hold back, though she's not sure why. He may look a little like Aizen, but he's definitely not the same person, and just resembling someone she doesn't trust isn't enough to throw her off.]
I'd like that! I'm pretty hungry, now that you mention it. Thank you! Did you get a map? It's on 12th and Nettle!
no subject
So right about there? Yeah, I'll be there soon.
