Genessia NPCs
10 September 2017 @ 02:58 am

[Did you subscribe to The Genessia Tribune? Did you even remotely wish you had a newspaper or some other form of media to refer to for news, weather, and current events? Then you're in luck! There's a paperboy riding through the streets of Genessia flinging newspapers onto doorsteps or, if you're unlucky, through your window. Even remote locations in the other cities will still get a paper if one of the residents ever wanted one. The Paperboy is just that dedicated.]

[And if you're one of the following people, and you happen to subscribe to the newspaper, the Paperboy may or may not have flung the newspaper through that person's window, at the person, and/or broke something in the area:Cad Bane, Theodore Satchel, Deadpool, Gale Reinhardt, Professor Sycamore, Ayame Sasaki, Soma Cruz, chaos, Yukiko Amagi, Fai D. Flourite, Emerald Sustrai, Chiaki Nanami.

The following people have their newspaper placed neatly on their doorsteps: -.]

Sonico Super
10 September 2017 @ 10:20 am
*Sonico has since returned home to Attleton, though she is dismayed to see the news about the bombs. She appears to be sitting up in bed with the head of a very adorable cheetah resting in her lap. Sonico's expression is clearly concerned as she gently strokes her pet's head*

I know that I was expected to sing tonight at the Hangar Queen...but I'm afraid I'm going to have to postpone. I'm sure Gale will be happy for me to rearrange the gig, but unfortunately...until the danger of those bombs is over... I don't feel safe in Attleton.

*Sonico lowers her eyes here, quite ashamed to admit how scared she is*

Again, I apologise. But thank you in advance for your understanding...

*She looks back up at the camera with wide worried eyes, then bows her head in apology and thanks*

Stay safe, everyone...

Alright, listen up everyone. Deputy Guardian Dante Sparda here, and here's how this is going to work. You see anything that looks like a bomb? You call me.

You see anything that might be a bomb? You call me.

You see anything suspicious? You call me.

If you squint and see an object that might possibly be construed as potentially bomb-like if you tilt your head a certain way? You call me.

We seeing a pattern here?

I know I'm not the Guardian, but something tells me Cassian will back me up on this one. Do not approach, do not touch, do not even fucking look at it for longer than needed. You. Call. Me.

That goes for my fellow deputies as well.

[He sighs as he drops his camera carrying hand, as he's obviously out on patrol.] Just when I was getting comfortable too... shit...

The news circulating lately does make Guardian Haller seem particularly skilled, doesn't it? We hardly make the news. We're either very safe or not worth anyone's time. With so little incidents in Genessia City, I'm almost a bit bored. [ ... ] Oh. I hope I didn't jinx it just now.

Anyway. It just occurred to me that while I've been active around here for ...several months actually, I skipped going through with a formal public introduction. Completely slipped my mind!

Hello everyone. I'm Goro Akechi. I work for the Genessia City Police Department as a detective and do freelance sleuthing for things out of my jurisdiction. I'm sure many of you took this as an opportunity to try something new as an occupation but I ended up being a creature of habit and sticking to my field.

That being said, if you have a mystery to solve my services are available. I promise I won't tattle about any private cases to my coworkers.

It would help with an investigation of mine if I could pose a question or two to you all? Feel free to answer however you'd like.

What do you think the true purpose of the sub-archways are? If you're one of the few who have opened one yourself, might I ask what compelled you to? Would you do it if it hadn't had such a steep price?

Has anyone visited them all? Which ones would you consider a worthwhile trip?

Cad Bane

Seems you had an explosive little problem in Attleton recently.

The threat has now been completely subdued and there's no more reason to fear. The culprit has been dealt with, thanks to my swift and sure expertise.

Business has been a little slow lately, so I'm available for any other jobs that require my services. Criminals captured. The lost can be found. Items. People. Other problems? Just ask. I'm flexible with doing many kinds of jobs as long as its worth my while. Rates are you pay for what quality you get but all fees are negotiable.

Theodore (Ted) Satchel
St. George would be proud )---

[On the phone, Ted pants, clearly having undergone a great deal of physical exertion. Don't worry, he's in normal clothes, not that creepy uniform you're not supposed to know about. And you know what makes him feel better? Talk of books. All this plague business has him thinking of one in particular, and all the open questions it could provoke.]

"Two dogs, desirous of man's companionship but denied by man's abuses, suffer in exile as they make a treacherous journey. They were experimented on, you see, for cancer research or something equally noble. This left one of them cracked, much to the chagrin of the saner other. Still, they are friends to the end; their journey concludes as they swim out to sea, seeking an "Island" which the insane dog swears by, and the sane one can only trust in, likely to his doom. It isn't clear whether they made it; they probably drowned, given the sad nature of the story up to that point. Like Sancho and Quixote, if...Quixote had come much nearer to death, if only because he went much farther in fancy.

That sane dog; the one who put his faith in his silly friend and his island...do you think he was a fool?"

[Clearly the antidote for being so winded was conversation.]
