A: Zamasu vs. The Hologram: Bad Lifechoices
[The look on Zamasu's face is one between surprise, annoyance and confusion when he makes his way outside of The Bay. After he has checked the items inside the box he cannot make any other conclusion that someone is expecting him to live here for a while.

As if he were a mortal's equal.

At first he thought that Gowasu wanted to test him. That the old man thought it would be a good lesson for him to stay amongst mortals so he could understand them better. But alas, even something aggravating like that is not as horrible as the truth.

Kidnapping.

So allow him to glower at the yapping mortal on that hologram because, honestly, that is downright sinful. And he is not the type of god who takes kindly to the sins of mortals. And especially not when said sins are aimed at his godly person. Gods are above mortals to begin with.

And anyone can see how his right hand starts to glow all up until the moment it has the shape of a sword. He is quite ready to destroy this mortal and the thing she calls 'Schnee Company'. Whether if it is a good idea? Probably not.]

B: Flying around, trying to get home, finds Everglade instead
[Zamasu thought he had mastered the art of teleportation. Well, if he did it sure is not working here. And flying around at high speed is not making things any better for him. There are just cities and smaller towns. All tell-tale signs of advanced mortal life.

Absolutely disgusting.

Finally he lands on the rooftop of a higher building that stands in one of the smaller towns. It is getting dark outside and the streets seem to get foggier with every second that passes. It is the most quiet town he has seen so far and finally he decides to jump down, landing on his feet with absolute ease.

Zamasu finds it difficult to sense anything and for a moment he just stands there, looking around himself…]

Neil Blair
[VIDEO;public]

[When the feed goes live, Neil's face is front and center, but he's not looking at the camera. He's somewhere in Fayren, based on the decor--at the Drunken Monkey, for those familiar with the establishment. It's not terribly noisy at the moment, and from the looks of things Neil has shoved himself into a far corner, back to the wall. He's hunched over the table, hand hovering after turning on his smart phone while he appears to finish writing something down on a piece of paper in front of him.

A few long seconds passes, then he finally sets his pen down and looks up.]

Hey--sorry 'bout that, didn't wanna lose a thought. Just kinda curious about something--stuff...my brain's just workin' overtime, so call it a poll. In the worlds you all come from, what's the general consensus on revenge? Culturally, spiritually, philosophically...is it a good or a bad thing? And if it's anything you'd actively do, what's your favorite way? I mean...

[He trails off, huffing in a moment of mild frustration as he starts to talk with his hands.]

Like me. I come from two worlds--one, revenge isn't something that's encouraged. If you do it, though, there's an expression--'revenge is a dish best served cold.' The other, the whole things a little gray. Avenging your honor, or that of family, friends, lovers--it's done, even if it's not totally okay, but for personal slights or harm? Spirituality preaches that forgiveness is wisdom...and culturally, you're seen as a stronger person for finding justice if the law brings you none. There's an old saying there, too--'wield the sword of vengeance not with the hand, but with the heart.' Don't go after someone just 'cause you feel you have to, in other words. Do it because you absolutely believe you have to.

So...what's your take? Or your world's take, I mean. Gimme your thoughts.

Hey, how do you spell your mother's name? With a 'C' or a 'K?'

[He's asking for a friend. Honest.]

Zim
24 September 2018 @ 12:19 pm
[Or, specifically, inside the walls of the commons, occasionally visible in whatever apartment he's managed to scuttle into.

Yes, while Zim could, technically, get a perfectly good job as an engineer (technically) and make more than enough money for an apartment of his own, there's at least three barriers between himself and that sweet, sweet science money.

One: He's very dumb.

Two: Because he's very dumb, he's decided the easiest option here is, clearly, living inside the fucking walls of the commons and stealing shit to stay alive.

And three: The whole... technically not... an adult thing. Neither technically being one or being seen as one and really there's only so many times you can be asked by the receptionist at every institute you show up in where your parents are before you decide everyone is stupid except you, and moving off the grid.

... Technically moving off the grid. Does it count as moving off the grid when you're just stealing shit? Whatever.

Regardless, some poor fucks are going to be encountering a rather jarring scene in their kitchens today inside the commons, as Zim has invited himself in via any means necessary to steal all their shit.

TL;DR: Enjoy a three foot tall bug-man raiding your pantry and fridge.

Winry Rockbell
Nova City
[Winry said she would leave the hospital a while back and yet, she was still there. But it was mostly down to the fact she still wasn't sure what she wanted to do. Did she want to take another job similar and just take it to another city, or did she want to maybe start her own business and see what happens?

After all, before here she worked for her Grandmother and worked under someone else while gaining new experience. But here, she couldn't work under anyone. In reality, there was no one else who could do the job she was doing. At least that she knew of.

As her thoughts wondered about her next move she found herself on the outskirts of Nova City and she had happened to come across a small building that seemed a lot smaller compared to the other buildings. It seemed nice. Could use a little love and care, but nice otherwise. It made her smile. Soon she noticed the For Sale sign in front of it.

That was it. In her mind, she needed to have this building and maybe give it a shot at running her own business. As she turned on her heels she headed on to the address that was mentioned, making sure along the way to stop off in a few places. Places with building supplies, paints, anything that could give her some idea of what she wanted to do.]

Video
[Winry seemed happy more than anything as she was standing in a rather empty building. Cobwebs were littered around and dust seemed to be touching every inch of it.]

So... Good news. I decided to renovate this building and create my own business, which I know there is no one on this device that would need to use my services, but I am thinking of maybe taking on people to have work experience if they are ever interested in the world of prosthetics. It would be a paying job, of course, so one wouldn't have to worry about not getting money for doing it. [She tapped her chin lightly as she started to look around.]

I am actually looking forward to making this place look nice, even if it takes a while. [A pause before she speaks up again.]

This might sound weird, but... I've been doing a really odd thing without meaning to and I can't put my finger on why. But whenever a man says to do something to someone else or offhandedly I find myself then doing the said thing without even thinking about it.

[She sighed slightly.] In all honesty, I would not normally be that willing to do things that willingly which is why it's odd, but... Does anyone know why I am doing it? I worry that someone might say something awful around me and I kind of don't want that to happen.

[OOC: Winry had her fortune read by Minako and her curse is that she has to do everything any male figure tells her to do, even if it's an offhanded remark. So any male character is free to take full advantage of it.]

Alright, time for a round table discussion or some shit.

Over the last few weeks, things have been fairly calm around Attleton and I've been looking at ways to improve conditions both in Attleton and elsewhere, and I keep coming back to an idea I've had since the election just was busy to really put it out there.

I'm considering opening sanctioned and legal betting on fights that happen at the Attleton Colosseum. As a form of gambling, it'd obviously be regulated. Nobody under the age of 18 participating, for example, and I'd be keeping an eye on odds and payouts and making sure everything was fair and transparent. Likewise, I would be offering protection from the Guardian's office to any combatant that was approached or pressured into throwing a fight, and likewise prosecuting those who throw a fight for the purpose of rigging bets willingly.

I came to this idea because we've got a lot of people here with hair trigger tempers, super powers of some sort, just enjoy fighting, or a combination of the three, myself included. I figure if there's a legal way to get that sort of thing out of your system in a place where - should an accident or something happen - Genessia's normal death rules don't apply and people wake up fine a few minutes later, it would be best for everyone.

Last thing we need is a superpowered brawl in a busy intersection. However, before making anything official, I realize I'm the new kid on the block as far as Guardians go, so I figured I'd open the floor to anyone that may have a question or concern, and I'll do my best to answer things.

Hello.

It has been some time since I have looked at the network. I hope everyone is well.

I have found myself wondering if anyone here might be interested in exchanging some magical knowledge. I would like to learn more magic. Particularly water spells that are not curative, shifting one's own shape, and crafting illusions. Though I would not be opposed to learning other magics I am unfamiliar with.

What I can offer to teach in return is the art of summoning a Carbuncle. I am not the best of teachers, but I have had some success with this particular skill in the past. It is a way of giving part of your magical essence a physical form.

Please contact me if you are interested in such a trade.

Android 17 [Lapis]
24 September 2018 @ 05:26 pm
[Video turned on, and it was back to Island Sanctuary again. This time, someone else happened to be filming, and the audio picked up something different.]

'Lu...car-io'

[If no one could guess, one of his Pokemon's got a hold of the Android's phone. Maybe he was trying to take a picture or something. Anyway... Lucario pointed to a new pit added to the sanctuary where they use to inhabit a lion or tiger, but not, that's not the case, and it's quite larger too for good reasons.

Instead, there was a couple of bus-size skeletal-like decaying dragons running around. either bumping heads with each other or chewing up some old cars. The seem very clueless the most and could only make rattling sounds. It was when someone jumped down to the pit, all the decaying dragons turned their attention towards him, Seventeen. They stampeded towards him as if he was a lump of meat to devour, or headbutt. Seventeen stopped each incoming with ease, some of them pushed him hard enough to slide his feet back, which didn't panic the android.]

'Lucario!'

[The Pokemon panicked and dropped the phone. Off screen, the blue Lucario jumped over the railing and was no longer in view. Few moments later, the video turned off. Someone got their hands full. An hour later, Seventeen picked up the phone and looked a little dirty.]

Ah, sorry about that folks. Lucario was recording there. Anyway, I found these weird dragons a couple weeks ago. Anyone know what kind they are? They look... kinda dead but very alive.

[He asks as if it's normal. Well, he's seen weirder.]

I have been here for approximately five days. When I first woke here I felt as though there was a gap in my memory. At first I assumed it had to do with whatever method was used to bring me here, but this does not seem the case for others here. I then thought that perhaps it would correct once I had become more accustomed to this place and the stress of it all dissipated. I find myself questioning that now with the time that has passed.

Are there any others here whom have had a similar experience? The memory loss is not significant but still enough to be disconcerting.
