Choices:
1. Herb-Crusted Rack of Lamb w/ a Bordeaux
2. Pan-Seared Halibut with Roasted Asparagus and Beurre Blanc Sauce served w/ California Sauvignon Blanc.
3. Mushroom, Chestnut, and Camembert Puff Pastry Parcels (Vegetarian Option) w/ White Cabernet
(All items served with a choice of garden salad or spicy cucumber salad.)
(Wines will be substituted for those underaged or upon request with a choice of water or white grape juice.)

7pm: Dessert is served

Choices:
1. Hazelnut Chocolate Star Cups - Design ref. A dark chocolate balloon cup coated with finely chopped hazelnuts so that look like stars in the night sky. Inside, it's filled with a layer of nutella mousse and topped with a fudge frosting and a piped tempered white chocolate star.
2. Coconut Pannacotta and Pineapple Stars. Design ref. A creamy yet light pannacotta dish with star-cut pineapples with caramelized edges, covered with a thin and crunchy spun sugar display.
3. Tiramisu Glasses - Design ref. Tall glasses filled with a marscapone whipped cream, a layer of coffee-soaked lady fingers, and topped with puff pastry stars and berries.
(Dessert is served with a choice of a 6oz coffee, tea of choice, or hot cocoa.)

7:10pm: Weiss Schnee's Speech (Here.)
7:30pm: Live Music Performances by Celebrities: Muse and Minako Aino
8:30pm: DJ plays, Planetarium goes on for a star show while staff clears tables and chairs out to open a dance floor. (Modern and fun music selection, not full-on rave, but not classic ballroom either. There is a variety of music styles played, more upbeat in the beginning, then slower songs toward the end.)
11:00pm: Music is quiet, open mingle, and a fundraising area for the GSRF is opened.
11:30pm: As party closes and guests begin to exit, a fireworks show begins to say goodbye for the night and thank everyone for coming.

[ zuko's hand drifts to rest on the small of her back as the music slows. ]

I like it. The people seem to be enjoying themselves, too.

[ a dance without drama. they've been needing that. ]

I would've been sitting beside my father's throne if we held this in the Fire Nation, only allowed -- well, more like required -- to dance with girls of his choosing that were of appropriate rank and status.

[ he presses a kiss to her temple. ] I like being able to pick who I do and do not dance with.

[whiteas]

As long as you pick me, I like it too.

[ Though she's fairly certain she would absolutely be considered at minimum nobility if they had nobility in their world, even if she's also certain she probably wouldn't be fire nation. That would've likely been a problem, so she's not even going to argue with the 'appropriateness' of it all. ]

Though a throne might be an idea for next time~ [ Weiss joked, of course. ]

[ no, she would've been a fierce waterbender who specialized in freezing techniques as far as zuko was concerned. ]

For you to sit on or me? [ tease tease right back at'cha. ]

[ That was about the same thing Weiss had figured, having thought about it from time to time out of fantasy. ]

I suppose we could share if you ask really nicely.

[ She'll take that teasing in stride. She knows how she acts, after all, even if Zuko's the real royalty here. ]

[banishment]

Shouldn't it be you asking me and not the other way around?

[ but he means it in jest, carrying on with the joking as he leads her towards the edge of the dance floor as the song draws to a close. ]

[whiteas]

[ Weiss follows with ease. The end of the song means she should probably get back to 'work' but.. she's sure she can spend at least a little longer with Zuko. ]

I get called "Ice Queen" enough, I think that means I get the throne.

[banishment]

I'll get Katara to bend you an ice crown for the occasion.

[ he's hilarious. really, he is. ]

That doesn't seem very practical. It'd just melt all over the place.

[banishment]

Yeah, but then you'd be drenched in water...

[ zuko. honestly. ]

[whiteas]

Oh, so that's what your plan is.

[ Weiss puts her hands on her hips. ] If you want to get me wet, that's your responsibility. No asking for help from Katara.

[banishment]

[ his gold eyes go wide, eyebrow shooting up. oh. ]

That could be arranged.

[whiteas]

How about... [ Weiss intertwined her fingers with his with both hands, looking up at him. ] I ask Armin to reschedule all of my appointments tomorrow?

[ She's sure after being a pain in the ass and working relentlessly right up until this event, it won't be a big deal if she takes a break. Especially if it's with Zuko. ]

[banishment]

[ normally he would protest, but he's nearing the end of his — of azula's — term and there hasn't been much to do. ]

I think I can work you in to my schedule.

[whiteas]

It's too bad I still have to be attentive to other matters tonight. [ And she doesn't think pulling Zuko into a closet for a quickie is very appropriate for either of them. ]

[banishment]

[ it wouldn't be, and knowing his luck, someone would walk in and catch them. ]

This is what you get for putting yourself at the top.

[whiteas]

It's a good thing I like it up here.

[ It was true- she did. She put herself here purposefully. Though she had learned a lot back when she was working as a waitress, then a manager of that pizza place, the reality was that this is what she loved. Handling her company and doing things the right way, a way that can protect people and try to make the world a better place. There was a sense of satisfaction in that and in living up to her name, something she didn't feel her father was doing. Even if this wasn't home and there were a lot more problems ahead for when she did get back, she felt this was a good start. At the very least, it was giving her a lot of confidence that she would be able to handle a tougher challenge. ]

[ that's where they differ — she put herself at the top, but blood (outcomes of war pending) deems that zuko will be at the top whether he puts himself there or not. birth put him there. it's his right by way of having been born with a silver spoon in his mouth. she wants this, she enjoys it. her boyfriend... not so much. even after being deputy guardian for so long and excelling at it, he's still not sure whether he actually wants to rule a nation that'll be recovering from a hundred years of war. ]

No need to worry about the pressures of the job getting to you. But you could still use a break.

[whiteas]

[ despite her own ambitious nature, she likes that about Zuko. He is willing to do what's necessary without losing sight of what he wants. She knows that he wasn't always that way, even if she hasn't seen that side of him. He's told her as much. As long as Zuko supports her, she would support him whether he had to be a deputy guardian or wanted to go back to the tea shop. ]

I could say the same for you.

[banishment]

[ no, he wasn't always like that, but when he was reaching too high, he was reaching for something other people wanted for him and not necessarily what he wanted for himself. he's done living that kind of life. ]

Azula's term's almost up and we'll both be out of office soon. She's not running again. There'll be plenty of time for a break when that's all over with.

[whiteas]

Are you going to go back to the tea shop after that?

[ She knows how much he loved it there. It actually hurt a little to see him give it up for Azula. ]

[banishment]

I might. I haven't decided, but I can figure that out later.

[ and he had sufficient enough funds saved up to keep himself afloat. if being literally dirt poor for a while had taught him anything, it was how to stretch a few gold coins. ]

[whiteas]

Do you...

[ No. Not a good time to ask that right now. Weiss tilts her head slightly. ] We should talk about this later. Now it's time to enjoy a party.

[banishment]

[ his brow rises with interest, but he doesn't ask. whatever she was about to say can be said later. ]

I'll hold you to that.

[whiteas]

[ Weiss gives his hands an affectionate squeeze, accompanied with a little smile. ]

It's something I want, I'd never forget to ask about it. You don't have to worry about holding me to it.
