[ Shortly after dropping Satsuki in a ditch somewhere (read: going their separate ways), Lucy and Natsu continued on to drop off their bounty to get their pay before heading home. Lucy deliberately picked a path that skirted away from where the building that the guild was supposed to be in, was. In fact, the apartment she'd picked out was even further away from the guild building than the inn was.

Speaking of apartments - she tucked the cloaks she received under an arm (or passed them over to Natsu if he wanted to hold them for a moment) and turned on her device, the video feed showing a slightly scuffed up but smiling blonde. ]

Those smugglers that were harassing the unicorns were taken care of - thankfully. Hopefully no one else gets it in their head to bother them- and hopefully the unicorns themselves have learned their lesson about going near people. I'm sure they did. Anyway, got some neat new magic cloaks out of the mission - that was a nice surprise!

Oh, Wendy, Levy, just thought I'd let you know, but I've moved out of the Inn. I'm staying in an apartment on the edge of town.

[ So if they go looking for her at the Inn and don't see her, that'd be why. That'd also be why a certain other Dragonslayer won't be there. That message passed, she closed the phone and tucked it into her pocket before glancing at her partner. ]

Before we head back, I want to stop and pick up some things. [ Bandages and such mainly. For obvious reasons. ]

Oh I know not all telepathy is bad. One of my friends has that kind of magic - I was just wondering if there was something that could block out psychic intrusions like that. Accidental ones.

[ She'd been looking ever since Koishi had told her that she couldn't help but read people's surface thoughts, and that had made Lucy so uncomfortable, she didn't want to be around the girl. ]

Of course there are, otherwise it's easy to go insane. Imagine a world were everyone around you is screaming everything that comes to mind all the time, even in their sleep. Telepaths have to figure out a way to block out all the extra noise or become a hermit. But it might be possible for a magic-user to learn a simple mental wall I suppose... Especially someone like yourself.

[A rueful smile. Pretty dancing monkey...]

As for your first question, I don't have much to go off of yet but it seems like non-natives can return after being killed. I've only managed to get one confirmed case but I suspect something very important is taken in exchange. It makes sense, there's also a price for opening a sub-archway.

... Yeah, I've...seen someone like that. Well, almost like that. [ Not 'they're coming to take me away' crazy, but ... more importantly, she focused on something that she could actually do something about. ]

Really..? Would you ...be able to teach me? And my friend, if he's interested?

[ She grimaces a little. ]

The pink haired boy? I'm not really sure he'd need to but I won't kick him out. Though I don't promise not to bring up your guild again, I'd be willing to try teaching you some basics.

Yeah, I did.

[ It didn't end well. About as well as one might expect from an kid that overreacted though. And damn, the dancing monkeys didn't dance well enough! ]

You're better off asking one of the others about the guild, honestly. It's... a sensitive subject for me. [ Her and Natsu, but mostly her. ]

I'd appreciate the help though! In return... um,.. [ Hrm. ] Would you like a payment of some kind?

My first run-in with her and her sister was in a mixed bath during a water fight. I was a little annoyed that she didn't ask permission but... [A shrug.] Her mind is damaged but at least she's stuck as a good child.

[A pause and then a nod.]

Am I allowed to ask if you're still a member of Fairy Tail? If I'm not allowed, just don't answer. I won't say anything more about it. As payment though... [A moment of thought and then a playful smile.] I would like to have you and your friend be my models for an evening.

Yeah, I was annoyed for the same reason. [ She didn't excuse her being generally a good kid though. ] That's why I was hoping I could find something to block people from being able to do that.

[ Was she still a member? ... KIND OF. ]

Yeah, I am. [ She said, with a bit of a bittersweet smile. And then she choked mentally. ]

Wha... you want us to ... to what? [ Well she's certainly modeled before, but the thought of modeling -with- Natsu suddenly ..made her blush. A lot. ]

She probably didn't like banging her mind on some fortress walls for a change. I did let up a bit once she understood I was allowing her in on my own.

[A nod.]

I design jewelry and draw manga but there are some perspectives that I'm not used to drawing. And I've never had anyone with pink hair to try color combinations on.

That sounds like exactly what I need. [ If she couldn't get into Bridget's mind, Lucy wanted to make sure it could work that way for her too. ]

Oh.. really? Have you ever done book illustrations? [ Phew, the modeling thing sounded like it'd be safe then. No romance, right? ... Bridget? Buddy? :D;; ]

That..should be fine, sure. I'll have to make sure it'll be okay with Natsu first though.

Book illustrations? I've done calligraphy and versal letters as well as classic art, but I've never done book illustrations. That might be rather fun... Especially now that printing presses are advanced enough to handle it.

[Sadly, you'll probably be fairly safe from romance nudges... Unless Natsu gets pervy and there's a reason to tease!]

Just give me an hour or two of advance notice so I'm not cave crawling for minerals.

[ Phew. She's definitely safe then, Natsu keeps his perviness safely under wraps. Not that he gets particularly pervy anyway. ]

Well, when exactly did you want to do this?

[ Either the mental training or the modeling. ]

Any time is fine I suppose? I'm a little pinned down while the sun is up so I try to make the most of it. Right now I'm in the basement of Rocks.

Of course, I don't tend to like models with scratches and massive bruises.

No? I thought I could start a trend~! Ah well, so much for my five minutes of stardom.

Perhaps another time when I'm not working on a shoujo manga. I've had enough bubbles and sparkles to make a carnival puke so my next series will probably be historical adventure.

[ Another giggle. ]

Maybe I should offer to model for you in my free time, for your manga and things. [ She joked. ]
