[ Action/Video ] (A bit backdated!)

[ Shortly after dropping Satsuki in a ditch somewhere (read: going their separate ways), Lucy and Natsu continued on to drop off their bounty to get their pay before heading home. Lucy deliberately picked a path that skirted away from where the building that the guild was supposed to be in, was. In fact, the apartment she'd picked out was even further away from the guild building than the inn was.

Speaking of apartments - she tucked the cloaks she received under an arm (or passed them over to Natsu if he wanted to hold them for a moment) and turned on her device, the video feed showing a slightly scuffed up but smiling blonde. ]

Those smugglers that were harassing the unicorns were taken care of - thankfully. Hopefully no one else gets it in their head to bother them- and hopefully the unicorns themselves have learned their lesson about going near people. I'm sure they did. Anyway, got some neat new magic cloaks out of the mission - that was a nice surprise!

Oh, Wendy, Levy, just thought I'd let you know, but I've moved out of the Inn. I'm staying in an apartment on the edge of town.

[ So if they go looking for her at the Inn and don't see her, that'd be why. That'd also be why a certain other Dragonslayer won't be there. That message passed, she closed the phone and tucked it into her pocket before glancing at her partner. ]

Before we head back, I want to stop and pick up some things. [ Bandages and such mainly. For obvious reasons. ]

[Natsu was carrying the cloaking cloak and messing around by making various parts of him disappear for his own entertainment. It was oddly fun.]

Huh? Okay where do we have to go pick up those things then?

[Since with injuries as light as that he thought a quick visit to Wendy would not be too much trouble.]

[ Lucy couldn't even complain - she was the one that gave the cloaks to him to hold. Although it occurred to her that an invisibility cloak would be a dangerous in his hands if he ever thought about sneaking up on her. Not that he needed one if he wanted to spook her. ]

There's a store just down the road that does business with Genessia for people who don't walk all that way. We can pick it up there.

[ She didn't want to pester Wendy for something so minor, anyway. She didn't ask for the cloaks back though, watching him goof off with a faint smile. ]

[Well he might still make use of it for a prank. The opportunity is too good to pass up. For now though he's satisfied with all the little experiments he's doing.]

Oh that place? I think I know the one. Okay lets get our asses over there.

[Naturally he's aware of Lucy's light injuries. The fact that he's not freaking out about them is proof of how light they are.]

[ Oh dear lord. Even knowing there's an invisibility cloak she'd still shriek if he walked around with his head covered and 'missing'. ]

Right~!

[ Easy enough to do, and they were in luck with it actually being open. Though Lucy actually wound up getting some aspirins as well. Sometimes herbal remedies just didn't cut it. She even found herself picking up some children's medicine, almost on instinct before she rejoined Natsu. ]

All set~! Let's head home.

[ ... it still felt weird calling it that, with him living with her. And yet natural at the same time. ]

[Levy flicks on the screen, a sleepy blink and then a smile. There are a pile of books stacked behind her though the familiar backdrop doesn't exactly say where Levy is. She hasn't been back at the inn in awhile, since she's opened her store she's been busy trying to get things started.]

You moved? When?

[She hasn't noticed and that knot of guilt in her chest tightened.]

[ Honestly she'd thought Levy was avoiding her, after the way their conversation went at the beach. She wouldn't have blamed her. ]

When? Ah, almost a week ago. I ...would have said something sooner, but it's been busy with taking bounties and moving.

I'm really sorry Lucy. I should have noticed sooner. I'll make sure to bring you a house warming gift.

You're still avoiding your guild?

{ From what he knows about Natsu - and by extension, Lucy, since he's observed they're almost never apart from one another - that's completely unheard of for either of them. Why would they... }

[ There's a voice she hadn't expected to hear. A number of questions run through her mind, she finally settles on one. ]

...It's complicated.... how did you know I haven't been going to that place? [ Her first guess, Mavis, since she knew they were friends, somehow. ]

You just, yourself said that you've been staying at an inn, and then moved to an apartment. I've been inside the guild building, you know. It's very nice.

{ ... mostly because Mavis forced him (and Silver) to go swimming in their pool the last time she was here, but details. }

It just seems strange that you would prefer to pay rent than stay for free at a place constructed by your guildmates, for your guildmates. But then, perhaps that's somewhat hypocritical, coming from me.

{ ... considering he's indirectly responsible for that guild even existing, and he has an entire freaking palace that he avoids, too. }

Yes, though doesn't really mean anything. I didn't live in the guild building back home, I lived in an apartment.

[ Yes, it is hypocritical buster! But she didn't know she sometimes stayed at the guild building when she was here before either. ]

[Whatever happened to Lucy promising her that she could stay with her and Natsu?

...Oh well, an apartment would be too crowded.]

I should probably find someplace to stay at some point, too. [Like maybe the guild.]

[ She also said when Natsu built the house, Wendy was welcome to stay. They can't just get a house off the bat, it's too expensive. ]

...Don't you already? You aren't staying at the Inn anymore?

Anyway it's probably only temporary until we have enough money for a house.


[ Can't have two alts in the same plaec after all! ]

[She shakes her head.]

Not yet. I want to find someplace suitable for me and Tabby and my Pokémon. [She picks up the cat and pets her head. All her Pokémon are currently in their balls.] I think I have somewhere in mind, but I'm not sure yet...

[Oh, was it a house? It'd been a while since they made the offer she couldn't remember the full details. She feels a little silly now.]

I'll work hard to help raise enough money for the house! I-I might even work full-time somewhere!

[Where, though, is the question.]

Um... Where are you two staying now?

[ Well the apartment would certainly be crowded with a bunch of animals and three people, yikes. A house would definitely be better. ]

Where is that?

[ She grins at the enthusiasm, resting her chin on her hands. ]

It's a little expensive, but it's a place called Oak Gardens. [ Well, it'd be expensive if it was just her, and she'd gotten used to Natsu staying with her from her previous experience in another world. ]

There are unicorns?

[ Those are real? Huh. ]

Yeah - they're really incredible to look at too. There are dragons also but - I haven't seen them.

Dragons I've seen before. Unicorns, not so much. I thought those were on par with leprechauns in the grand scheme of things that are and aren't fictional.

Yeah, so did I - I've certainly never seen a unicorn back home, or a leprechaun, and dragons...well that's a bit more complicated. [ And not at the same time. ]

But around here, especially in Fayren, hearing about unicorns and dragons isn't quite as surprising. There's even a vampire in one of the cities, and I thought those were myths too. Supposedly that city is full of supernatural creepy stuff like ghosts and ghouls.

[Mavis smiles.] Thanks for keeping in touch, Lucy.

I take it you and Natsu are still doing fine in this new world, right? [And still staying away from the guild. Mavis can easily guess why but since last time they talked, Lucy was reluctant to talk about it with Mavis, she won't pry.

She hopes Lucy knows that as Fairy Tail's first Master, Lucy can always come to Mavis and confide in her. But Mavis will let her do that in her own time.]

[ Well, she did think that at first - but since finding out Mavis was friends with Zeref, she wasn't so sure. Actually she was extremely uncomfortable thinking about talking to her. ]

First... [ She smiles, it was still nice to see the first Guild Master. ] Yeah, well, I know Levy and the others are getting jobs doing other things elsewhere, [ ...which just reminds her of home, really. And not in a good way. ]

But Natsu and I are still taking jobs on like we did w... before.

I'm glad you're still getting good jobs, Lucy. I enjoy watching the unicorns during my trips to the mountains so I'm tempted to send you a little gift of appreciation.

[ Alas! Lucy stared at the latest response though, with a lack of recognition. Well it wasn't the first time someone who knew her before she left this place had reached out to her. She supposed this was the same case. ]

I don't see why we wouldn't - seems that there's always need for the kind of work we do. [ A gift? ] Oh! Well that... won't be necessary, but thank you...
