[ Action/Video ] (A bit backdated!)
[ Shortly after dropping Satsuki in a ditch somewhere (read: going their separate ways), Lucy and Natsu continued on to drop off their bounty to get their pay before heading home. Lucy deliberately picked a path that skirted away from where the building that the guild was supposed to be in, was. In fact, the apartment she'd picked out was even further away from the guild building than the inn was.
Speaking of apartments - she tucked the cloaks she received under an arm (or passed them over to Natsu if he wanted to hold them for a moment) and turned on her device, the video feed showing a slightly scuffed up but smiling blonde. ]
Those smugglers that were harassing the unicorns were taken care of - thankfully. Hopefully no one else gets it in their head to bother them- and hopefully the unicorns themselves have learned their lesson about going near people. I'm sure they did. Anyway, got some neat new magic cloaks out of the mission - that was a nice surprise!
Oh, Wendy, Levy, just thought I'd let you know, but I've moved out of the Inn. I'm staying in an apartment on the edge of town.
[ So if they go looking for her at the Inn and don't see her, that'd be why. That'd also be why a certain other Dragonslayer won't be there. That message passed, she closed the phone and tucked it into her pocket before glancing at her partner. ]
Before we head back, I want to stop and pick up some things. [ Bandages and such mainly. For obvious reasons. ]

[ Wait, what WHY did she just invite him to come with her. He's the whole reason she needed to get outside in the first place? AUGH STUPID LUCY. STUPID STUPID STUPID LUCY. She put a hand over her face with a muted groan. Well, she can't take it back now. She won't be out there long, she's sure. ]

[And he's so totally on board with the idea too.]
no subject
Yeah... It should be a clear night. [ Perfect for star-watching! She was just glad that they were the only two who ever went up to the roof. She hesitated, deciding that if he was coming with her, she didn't need to bring her robe. He could keep her warm -- though that thought made her blush and she had to knock her hand lightly against her head. Stop that. ]

Sweet! Nothing beats an open sky at night~
no subject
Yeah... it's nice.
[ Turning and heading out the door to take the ladder up to the roof, she carefully picked her way along. ]
Careful, it's a little slippery.
no subject
[Still flashing that carefree smile of his.]
no subject
Unless there's a bar of soap over here, I'm not going to slip...!
[ See, she's balancing her way along just like she did at the canal back home! Though when she found a good spot that wasn't as damp, she lowered herself to sit on the roof, hugging her knees. ]
no subject
Yeah that is kinda unlikely.
no subject
You really worry too much sometimes. I'll be all right.
[ She tucked her chin on her knees, fidgeting slightly. ]
no subject
I know. Still can't help it and besides it's not like I let it get in your way or anything.
no subject
[ She grinned, about to reach out for his hand for reassurance - catching herself and letting it drop again. That wouldn't ... help matters. ]
no subject
[If she had only done so he would have reached out to take her hand without even hesitating for a moment.]
no subject
[ She inwardly grimaced. It was definitely a mistake to let him come up with her. She rested her head against her knees, grumbling. ]
Nngh. Maybe this was a mistake...
[ He's not even -doing- anything and she couldn't help but want to scoot closer to him - when did simply having space between them become so... so impossible to bear? ]
no subject
[He says this after hearing her grumble. Again Dragon Slayer hearing makes it pretty damn hard to hold things secret from him.]
no subject
Nothing. It's nothing - just... don't worry about it.
[ She didn't want him getting upset about things, and she knew she wasn't handling it well. ]
no subject
[He says with a shrug and just shuffles up closer against Lucy and quietly increases his temperature.]
no subject
... I was right though. It is a clear night.
[ Yes! Redirect his attention to the sky - the nice, safe sky. ]
no subject
It is yeah. Did a lot of this at night.
[During his one year absence that is]
no subject
All of my friends were close enough to see, but I couldn't reach them. Especially you - I could never find anything about you, no matter how hard I looked.
no subject
[He trails off, lighting the tip of his finger with a small flame that he just let float away as if to join the twinkling stars above.]
no subject
Sorry I... I didn't mean to bring that up. I just wanted...
[ She trailed off for a moment. She wanted to watch the stars with him, but ... for some reason it felt weird. She glanced at him out of the corner of her eye. ]
no subject
[He's being in one of those rarely seen serious states of mind as the flame floats off into the distance before it fizzes out once it's out of Natsu's control range. Which happens long after they lose track of the tiny flame as a whole.]
no subject
You've already done so much... I already forgave you for leaving...long ago. ...and you came back to me.
no subject
I still made you cry.
no subject
Natsu...
[ She was so weak. So damn weak when it was him. All the times they spent together, all that time she spent searching - as happy as she was to find out about her friends, she'd felt her spirits sink when she couldn't find -him-. She let herself lean more against him with a soft sigh. ]
... I guess I'm ...still weak.
[ She breaks into a faint laugh at that. More at herself though. It was kind of funny - she told herself over and over she shouldn't get close to him like that, and time and time again she broke her word. Even now. ]
