If one were an immortal being or deity, and the other person was a young human... would that be acceptable?

I can't help but think there would be some problems, and I don't want to put anyone through unnecessary trouble or heartache. I don't even know if it's really reciprocated so maybe this is strange to ask in the first place, but I have much experience with dating at all. I'm nervous and after a recent incident, things keep feeling strange whenever I'm around him. I tried to talk it over with a friend, but there were so many confusing parts. Everything else I've thought of as a reason not to are things that we can work on if he felt the same way, but...

It can't be that simple, can it?

He.. might be. I don't know that he would have trouble accepting them so much as trouble believing them though. [ That actually gave her quite a good idea about a problem they might be having with communication. After all, the only people who Loki had a history of being truly accepted by were a very small group. Yui had to make sure that he knew that she really did care for him. ] Thank you!
