[ When the video turns on, it is at an odd angle, hushed voices being just picked up. ]

"Is she gone yet?" "Not yet. Wait a sec."

[ And then the sound of a door closing, followed by mischievous giggling. The angle of the feed changes, this time showing a Lucy, smiling happily, brown eyes bright. ]

Hello everyone in Fayren, Genessia and more! If you don't know me, I'm Fairy Tail's Lucy, and I'd like to wish each and every one of you a very happy Valentine's Day. Of course, wishes aren't enough, so today only, I'm offering a free kiss to anyone who responds to this post! Aa, but if you see me on the street then you can collect on that offer of a kiss too. It's a special day for lovers, after all!

[ And she winks, coyly. ]

[ Lucy would be found in Genessia City mostly, picking up flowers to decorate the newly build Fairy Tail guild hall. She's also clueless to the massive, massive trolling that a certain Spirit just caused. She's in a pretty good mood, if a little jumpy at times. Distracted too, mostly with thoughts about the day and a certain person. In her other arm she carried some foody type ingredients for cooking. She's never too busy to say hi or make a friend though! ]

[ OOC: So yeah, Gemini decided to play a prank and copy Lucy's form while she was out. The actual Lucy will be a very confused summoner if someone takes Gemini-Lucy up on her suggestion though. By which I mean, feel free to harass Lucy, mwahaha. ]

[ Oh. Dear. God. He hung up the videophone. They are SO DEAD if he catches them. ]

H.. he's really coming here..

[ Hey sudden epiphany! Gemini squeaks, abruptly dropping Lucy's form as both spirits edge over towards the window, peeping over the edge cautiously. OHGOD they can see him storming towards the Inn too! ]

Quick! Back to the Spirit World!

[ BRAVELY RUN AWAY. KAPOOF. ]

[And just in time too as he suddenly shows up on her window sill and throws the window open before stepping into the room.]

Lucy? Hiding won't stop me. I can feel your scent!

[He frowns when no reply comes however the latest trace of her scent is taking him...out her door? What in the world? How did she leave so fast? No matter. He'll track her down. He storms out of the inn hot on Lucy's trail, unknowing of the Twin's prank.]

[Eventually he does find Lucy and with a few more steps he's there next to her.]

Thought you could get away did you?

[ The Twins may balk at future orders from their Dark Master. Natsu is scary when he's mad. Oh who are they kidding, they'll still take up the task, because it was funny. To them. Lucy, on the other hand, startles when Natsu caught up with her, having not expected him to track her down or what he was talking about. She had a bad over one arm, so she did get her shopping done at least? Puzzled, she took a step back from her friend. ]

Natsu? What's wrong?

[Some of his determination subsides given her reaction but it doesn't last long.]

What's wrong? Nothing. As long as I got to you first. I did, didn't I?

[ You're not making any sense, man. What was with everyone acting weird today. Although his apparent determination to get to her first for some reason..]

.. Yeah, you did. I ...was just heading back now. Since Wily finished the guild hall I thought I could get some flowers to decorate.

[ She has chocolate for him too, but.. ]

[He's making about as much sense as he can at the moment.]

Okay good. Then I can make sure no one comes in and kisses you.

[Totally gonna drop that bomb out of the blue.]

[ She turned, starting to walk back towards Fayren's gate, bag in hand. She still looked confused, to be honest, and that confusion doesn't go away any time soon. Especially not when he drops that bomb on her with no warning like that. ]

W.. what? Why.. would you say something like that so suddenly..!

[ Don't be so up front with it too, what if someone heard you? Besides, she'd only want to kiss one person-- but she doesn't say that part. Actually she wondered if he said that because they'd kissed a few times themselves. Her face darkened with a blush at the thought - it was weird, but it kind of made her happy he'd do something like that. Of course he'd do that for anyone of his friends - who wants to have a kiss forced on them? ]

Honestly Natsu..! [ She's all kinds of flustered now. ]

Why? You're the one who made the offer. Anyone who finds you out in the town gets a free kiss. Those were your words.

[Hopefully they make it already through the gate or the scene will spread their fame to the other cities as well.]

[ Luckily the gossipo rag hadn't reached Genessia from Fayren, and as they had made their way through the Gate to Fayren, Lucy choked. ]

Wha - I've been in the city getting flowers and things the past hour! I didn't make any offer - and I wouldn't make an offer like that either!

[ She adds, with a pointed huff, her steps stalking quicker. Grumbling to herself, because what the heck was Natsu talking about. She didn't want to go around kissing random people - granted she was glad he showed up to prevent random people from trying to kiss her but... she puzzled this for a moment. ]

The past hour? I saw you about half an hour ago. You showed up on the network going all cheerily about valentines day. Then you said that anyone that replies to you will get a free kiss.

[Honestly, he wouldn't make this kind of lie up. Not with how angry he got at the thought of someone else kissing her. The party had proven that quite clear.]

[ A small, teeny tiny part of her wants to ask if he replied to her because he wanted a free kiss For Valentine's Day. That and to prevent perverts from reaching out to her anyway. She couldn't bring herself to ask though - heck at this point they've kissed more than once and she was still muddled about that relationship of theirs. Much as she liked kissing him, she had to remain diligent! What would happen if she let herself get too comfortable if she kissed him - or vice versa - again!

She's overthinking things again. Forcing her thoughts away from kissing Natsu for a second, she worried her lip absently, because it didn't make any sense what he was saying. ]

But that's not possible, Natsu. I can't be in two places at o-

[ ... She stops short, a hand reaching up to palm her face. Gemini. Her Spirits were popping up more and more frequently lately. ]

[It's all very complicated but mostly because they make it that way. Things would sort themselves out so much more if they just came out and put their cards on the table.

He's about to say again that he did see her when she suddenly pauses and holds her palm over her face.]

Huh? What? Did you remember?

[ Too true, too true. Lucy sighed, shaking her head. ]

No, I just realized who it was. [ She casts a sheepish, almost apologetic look towards Natsu as they approached the inn. ]

It had to have been Gemini.

Gemini?

[Hmm now that he thought about it, the Lucy he saw was way too cheery. Like forced so. Plus it did make kissing him sound like something out of the ordinary...]

I thought something was off. Especially when you mentioned kissing Gray. I mean they mentioned.

[ Lucy nodded. ]

It's strange for Gemini to come out like that though. [ Clearly they were put up to it. ] I'd better run damage control later, when I find my videophone.

[ She squeaks a bit at the latter. ] Wha.. I never kissed Gray!

[ Lucy. Shoosh. She lowers her volume to a regular level again, leading the way to their - her - room, where the videophone was still resting on the floor where Gemini chucked it in their panicked escape. ]

... What..um.. What else did you talk about? [ This...may be a loaded question but.. ]

Those two little-

[He pauses before the rant can begin in earnest.]

Of course you didn't. They just said you would have to if you kissed me. You know, to keep it fair.

[This Dragon does not appreciate being toyed with like that.]

Well they...

[He pauses for a moment.]

They asked if I answered first just for the kiss.

[ Gemini better keep their heads down for a good long while if Natsu held a grudge on their prank. Lucy blushed again at the thought. ]

That's ridiculous. Fairness wouldn't have anything to do with it if - [ um. She bites her tongue quickly, her blush deepening and she proceeded to adjust the angle of a painting on the wall that didn't need to be adjusted. Unless it was off by one millimeter. ]

... what.. did you tell them? [ More importantly what would she do if he said yes? Aaa why were things so complicated with them? ]

[Well depends. Maybe they can make it up.]

[He kinda wishes she finished that sentence. And maybe he doesn't a bit.]

I...well. Of course that's not the reason I answered. Though...I did think it was safer if I answered first.

[Safer for who though?]

[ Lucy nodded a little with the nod of one who wished that he'd said something else. He wished she'd finished her sentence, and she wished he said that it was the reason he answered. In any case it's with a smile that Lucy agreed with his statement. ]

Of course. That's... what I expected you'd have told them.

[ ... She's at least trying not to sound disappointed. She dropped onto the edge of the bed, tucking her leg under herself, watching him, before waving him to sit . Erza's not here, he can sit in the same room with her. It's O.K.. Funny he used that particular phrase though. Safer. ]

[That pause makes him think he just failed some kind of test. Even if she says she agrees with his stance. Even though she smiles at him.]

Besides I'd rather you want to kiss me instead of having to cause of some stupid term.

[Again he has such a way with words. Good thing she's on the bed when he drops that line.]

[ A VERY good thing. And yet at the same time she still felt like she was knocked over with a feather. She stared at him incredulously first, the responding blush causing her face to redden again, little by little. Those words - it was the same sentiment as two months ago, when it was a different holiday, and with mistletoe. ]

N...Natsu...

[ He really did have a way with words. Just when she thought the conversation was going one way, he said something that was the verbal equivalent of yanking an area rug out from under her feet and tripping her up. ]

I don't..want to kiss you because it's Valentine's Day. [ Wait. There's something wrong with that terminology. CRAP she meant wouldn't. She - can she eat her words and pretend she didn't say them? FFRICK. ]

I-I mean, I would only.. if I wanted to..

[He was going to do that often. Not in a bad way hopefully. Of course it was the same sentiment. He wanted her to want to kiss him not have to because of a pushy tradition and what not. Yes that likely would cut down on how often he could get one. But he wants each to be worth it. Each one memorable. Each special.

And he didn't hide that in the least. He did balk a bit at the first half of her reaction but the second one soothed it back in place.]

And that's how it should be.

[Though what if he wanted to kiss her. He had plenty of moments when he wanted something like that. ]

[ No, there was no way she could take that kind of response poorly. That he was so open and frank about it though, made her embarrassed. On the other hand, she was of the same opinion. She wanted him to kiss her because he wanted to, no other reason than that. Her opinion was similar to his though. Every kiss, every moment she shared with him she wanted to be special. She already knew they would always be memorable.

Coincidentally, she had plenty of moments where she wanted to kiss him too. Maybe it was her imagination but to her, it seemed she thought things like that more frequently lately. Maybe though, that was because the first time she kissed him was a year ago today. ]

Y-yeah.

[ Gods, but she wanted to. She really really wanted to. Augh, okay she needed to change the subject before she had the urge to act on that want. ]

...ah...are you... still okay? After the training with Erza I mean?

[ He was more used to it than she was. ]

Training with Erza. Now there was a potent topic shifter if there ever way one.]

Ah yeah I'm okay. Not looking forward to moving to the dorms though. It'll be harder to crash at your place with Erza there.

[And he sounded quite disappointed about that. He would still try though. Because some things are worth the punishment.]

[ A safe one, too. Or...mostly safe. Hearing how disappointed he was about sleeping in the dorms, she almost grinned. Well. She DID miss him being next to her at night - it was comfortable, and warm and she always, always felt safe next to him. But even so to come right out and say it...

[ Well it was easier to say THAT than to admit she wanted to kiss him more. She fidgeted a little, venturing after a moment. ]

Well... we ...will have our own rooms in the dorms..

[ If he could find a path to her window he could possibly avoid Erza. Surely she wouldn't barge into Lucy's room after they'd fallen asleep right? ]
