Okay, so, I've gotten the whole spiel about other worlds, the cities, blah blah blah. I just have three questions.

First off, does the name Sparda mean anything to anyone here? Usually when weird shit happens to me, it's usually tied back to him.

Second, how high in demand are a Demon Hunter's skills here?

And lastly, I'm gonna need a good pizza joint's address. Preferably one with a bar.

[Dante will be just wandering around Genessia, probably turning a few heads with the massive sword and handguns holstered in plain sight. He has no destination and as such is just aimlessly exploring, looking for landmarks to help get a feel for the layout of this strange new place.]

My old man was something of a... sword collector. He only made three swords of his own. One he gave his own name, Rebellion here, and Yamato, a katana that my brother used.

The looks? From what I gather from old pictures, I take after my mom in that.

[He shrugs.]

I've been using Rebellion for quite some time. I'm probably supposed to say I'm not showing off, but I am.

'Only' three? Hell, makin' one sword is pretty impressive on its own.

[And his mom must have been quite a looker. That's a comment he'll keep to himself, at least. He's got some semblance of self restraint.]

Hey, I'm not about to judge if you're just showin' off. Though I gotta confess, that makes me real curious about your combat prowess.

Don't tell a dedicated blacksmith that. Still... these three aren't your normal swords. They're what's called Devil Arms in my world.

[Well considering his girlfriend is a demon that was made to look like his mom? He'd take it pretty well.]

Ah, see I don't go showing off trade secrets for free, and I'm not about to go all out on a friendly sparring match either. If I ever find a target that interests me though, you're welcome to tag along.

Name's Dante by the way.

Devil Arms? Lemme guess. What they are is exactly what it says on the tin, devil blacksmith and all?

[Honestly, if he knew of that, Gale definitely would have openly said it. But hey, talkin' about someone's mom in front of them is something he doesn't want to do. He's got respect, man.]

Well, that's lucky. Bounty hunting is somethin' I dabble in quite a bit around here. I don't mind sharin' a bounty once in a while.

Gale Reinhardt. I'll also respond to 'Orlok.' It's a pleasure, Dante.

Something like that. Let's just say that every sword my old man made has a bit of himself in it.

[As if in response, the blade of Rebellion glowed an ominous blood red for half a second.]

Sounds like a plan, Orlok. Right now though, I need some pizza. Feel like it's been days since I ate.

[He kind of makes an odd face at the sword.]

Eugh, that just sounds weird.

[He puts a hand on his hip, tilting his head to the side.]

You've got good taste in just about everything, don't you?

Why don't I pay for you? I'm feelin' generous to the new guy, and potential bounty partner.

[He could go for a good pizza too. But Dante's looks are another reason why Gale put out the offer... he won't say that though.]

[There's an amused chuckle.]

It's not like he put fingernail clippings and a lock of hair in it.

[He pulls Rebellion out of its holster, and casually flings it off to the side where it hovers in place spinning like a skull encrusted buzz saw.]

But it isn't just a normal hunk of metal either. [He beckons to the sword and it obediently returns to his hand.]

Hey, I can't turn down free drinks. Lead on!

[His eyes follow Rebellion with his mouth agape, staring all the way up until it returns to Dante's hand.]

Holy hell, that is awesome.

[Because seriously, that was sweet. He's only seen things akin to that with remote controls, so those weren't anywhere near as cool.

His grin returns to his face as he takes a step ahead and signals for Dante to follow.]

I feel like I gotta buy two drinks after that display. C'mon.

[He grins a shiteating grin.]

If you think that's awesome, you should see some of the other parts of my collection. I've got a briefcase that can turn into 666 different guns.

[Dante won't hesitate to follow.]

Hell yeah, I think this is the start of a beautiful friendship.

You gotta be kidding me.

[He turns around with a baffled look, walking backwards now and putting a hand on his chest.]

I'm a cyborg, and you're makin' me look unimpressive.

[He's offended! Truly! But that grin creeps back onto his face and he turns around again.]

Glad we're on the same page. Depending on how well food and drinks go, I might even offer you with a temporary place to stay. Four bedrooms is an awful lot for one guy and a small dog.

[He assumes Dante'd be the kind of guy to get everything done on his own, but hey, no harm in potentially laying the offer out there.]

What can I say? Demons had a several thousand year head start on humans, so their tech is usually pretty darn advanced.

[He just smirks.]

It'd sure beat sleeping on a couch, that's for sure.

And here I thought demons were all old and spooky and stuck in their millenia-old ways. Then again, I never met a demon.

[He shrugs, lazily glancing over his shoulder.]

I could put the offer out now. So long as you get along with dogs, I wouldn't mind.

Most people do, and honestly, that makes my job a lot easier. If people ever got a hold of demon tech... things would get ugly real fast.

I love dogs!

I can imagine. Though I dunno about anyone else, but I don't think I'd feel safe usin' weapons of any kind that game from a demon. That just screams of curse.

[He looks back and casually winks.]

Well, consider the offer out there then. I wouldn't mind a roommate if you need a place to stay for a while. So long as none of your demon weapons try to stab me in my sleep or anything.

[They'll get to their pub destination, Gale putting his hands on his hips with a grin.]

Probably not the best place around, but the food and drink is pretty good. Don't mind the odd looks for the sword though.

Well, I'll definitely take ya up on that then.

[He grins, as he enters the bar behind Gale, shaking his head at the looks Rebellion did garner.]

That reminds me, I'm gonna need to find a guitar case. That usually gets me where I need to be without causing too much of a stir.

Just keep your space clean and be nice to the dog and we've got a deal. Then again, the robot maids would clean up after you regardless. Just be nice to the dog then.

[Gale was actually looking forward to the idea of a roommate. Having one that was real easy on the eyes was a bonus.

He drops himself into a bar stool and looks back at Dante.]

A guitar case? For that huge thing? That'd be a pricey custom job for sure. [A pause.] But admittedly, it would be pretty badass to just whip a sword out of a guitar case without anyone expecting it.

So long as he's not some giant three-headed doberman that can control ice, I don't see us having any problems.

[Because Cerberus was just rude.]

It's even better when it comes shooting out of the case on its own.

I dunno about the 'ice controlling' part, but I can safely say he's just a tiny, one headed german shepherd puppy that likes to dive face first into the snow.

[He grins a little.]

That sounds both awesome and horrifying. I kinda want to see that someday.
