WHERE: The Castle Royale Hotel, Genessia City.
WARNINGS: None.

The event space in the Castle Royale Hotel in Genessia City was decorated for this event. Pink hearts and other decorations were tastefully hung and placed all over the place to help people get into that romantic type of mood. It took quite a while to decorate it all, but it would take less time to get it all down once the event was over.

Just approaching the hotel, you would be able to hear the sound of music faintly playing. The event would have been awkward if there wasn’t any DJ at all to play music to get people in the dancing sort of mood. The DJ has their little area set up so he could entertain the guests with various genres of music. Some slow, some fast, some in-between. But the one thing it has in common is it is all something you can dance to.

The event officially starts at 5PM, but the doors themselves open at 4PM. Though at that time, things are still being set up, but you won't be asked to leave if you decide to sit around and wait for it to start.

Don't bid more in the auction than your character would plausibly have. For instance, if they don't have a job, they can't bid 10,000 redbills. Bidding should be done within their actual means.

Dance Floor

Are you looking to “shake your groove thang”? Then the dance floor Is where you want to be! Grab a partner and hit it. Or if you came with a date, grab them and do the same.

[Did someone say dancing? You can bet Gale is there. He'll always be dancing to the upbeat songs that come on, only leaving the dance floor if some slow song starts playing. He's actually not even dancing for the sake of showing off, he just enjoys it... but he also happens to be really good at it, so he's not even out there making a fool of himself.

Join him? Stare awkwardly? Catch him while he's off the dance floor?]

[Karla will recognize Gale on the dance floor and just watch. He hadn't struck her as a dancing type, so this is an interesting surprise. She'll watch silently, not wanting to interrupt as she admires his moves with a smile.]

[He sees you over there, Karla, and makes it a point to even give a wink in her direction. He slides over to her at the end of the song, raising an eyebrow to her and grinning.]

Don't tell me you're just here to be a wallflower, Karla.

[She just shrugs.]

Well, I...don't really know what to do. I always feel awkward at parties like this...

Most people go to parties to get drunk and mingle. Some more the latter than the former, so you could easily do that. The drunk part is optional, buuut all this place has for that is wine anyway.

[He has the impression that Karla is way too classy to get drunk anyway.]

If not for the wine and song, are you just here for the auction then?

I see. I did come here for the auction, but I don't mind "mingling" with anyone.

[She shrugs and smiles. Anyone could pretty much lead her anywhere if they wanted to.]

[He's got half a mind to pull her out to the dance floor, but he'll save it for the moment. He'll try to do it when she least expects it.]

Oh yeah? You got your eye on anyone or you just keepin' an eye on your own auction?

[She glances over at the auctions, but nothing seems to be happening over there.]

I still don't know too many people here. I'm keeping an eye on my own auction, but it doesn't seem that many people are interested...

Yeah, you and me both. At least you've got someone actually human at yours though, and not a... living... tree...

[He rubs his forehead.]

Never thought I'd have to say that one.

[Karla can't help but giggle at that one.]

Well...that tree sure is interesting, isn't it?

I guess you could say that I'm stumped over thinking of something to say about it.

[Well clearly he's not since he found it to be an excuse for another lame pun.]

Well, there's really no reason to dwell on it.

A furious rustling of leaves could be heard. No, the roof didn't blow off the hinges. It was Trevenant, having the time of his life and Shaking what his mama gave him. Do you have what it takes to groove with the grove?

[Levy is wearing a simple light green dress. She hadn’t dressed up per-say but instead chose to wear something comfortable and cute; which makes up most of her wardrobe anyway. It’s a little embarrassing but Levy actually enjoys dancing. Nothing as crazy as she’s seen others do but ballroom dancing.

For now she’s just watch with a smile but it’s a little obvious that she wants to join in.]

[Nagisa wondered through the crowd, looking around for anyone he might know, so when he did spot someone he was quick to sneak up behind them.]

Hello Levy-chan! Why are you standing at the edge of the dance floor and not actually dancing.

[Levy almost jumps when Nagisa appears behind her.]

I have no one to dance with.

[She isn't sure if she wants to elaborate on that more.]

Fast dance or slow dancing?

[He was not good with the slow stuff as he;s not really danced to that kind of beat.]

[Levy can’t help but laugh at him.]

Slow please.

[she doesn’t know that he isn’t as skilled with slow dancing but it’s what she’s more familiar with.]

Okay, though I will admit I know nothing. So expect foot stomping or... something.

[Tripping might be possible as well, but he held out his hand reguardless.]

[Levy laughs and takes his hand. She shakes her head and then lightly rests her other hand on his shoulder.]

Just lead, I'll follow and watch my feet.

Lead. Okay, do I just move my feet like this.

[He had started to move his feet forward a little bit in the hopes that he was ding it right.]

[Levy nods and takes a step back, she's used to dancing with both experienced and inexperienced dance partners.]

That's right.

[Well at least so far he hasn't managed to step on her toes which is an achievement. But he was happy dancing, even if it wasn't right.]

[Levy laughs brightly.]

It's okay.

[It's the thrill of finding out if Nagisa will step on her feet that probably makes their dance so exciting.]
